Achieving a high level of overall health and well-being is probably a goal for nearly every person on this planet. And, as someone once told me, there is more than one way to climb to the top of the mountain, but only one top. In today’s episode, I sit down with Alyssa Makowski Johnston whose goal was just that, a better overall quality life starting with her health and well-being. To that end, after trying the diet and exercise route to no avail, she chose to undergo weight loss surgery. In the end, weight loss surgery for her proved to not only be successful, but a life changer as well. We discuss some specifics of weight loss surgery, why she chose to undergo the procedure, what some potential side effects might be, how life has been for her since having the surgery, and some things to think about if you are possibly considering this procedure. As I said above, there are many paths to take, weight loss surgery is another potential path on the overall health and wellness journey.

We all want greater self-worth and more self-confidence. But how to achieve that? My guest today, Linh Dang, has been on her own journey of self-discovery into having greater self-worth and self-confidence. In today’s episode, Linh shares with us how she supports others in their journey of personal growth and transformation to have greater self-worth and self-confidence via the technique of rapid transformational hypnosis. Virtually all issues of low self-worth and low self-confidence can be traced back to a belief, or a block that is going on within the pysche. This limiting belief, or again hidden block, often prevents a person from having greater self-worth and self-confidence. It’s a matter of uncovering the limiting belief, or hidden block, and replacing the old belief with a new belief that supports you on your journey of growth and transformation. A big key to all of this, growing more confident in your own skin, is listening to your inner voice and what it is telling you. The process of greater self-worth and self-confidence is a gradual process, but in today’s episode you’ll also learn about two key skills to have greater awareness of your thoughts. And greater awareness leads to identifying the thoughts and stories you are telling yourself, which ultimately leads to creating new thoughts and stories. Which ultimately leads to greater self-worth and self-confidence. As Linh states near the end of the podcast, you are worthy of change and capable of it at the same time. Depression and anxiety are serious mental health issues that have gotten a lot more attention in recent years as more and more folks come forward sharing there struggles and victories. My guest today, Josiah Thibodeau, has an incredible story of defying the odds and setting a new standard for his life. His struggles with depression began in high school, at the age of 16, and continued until the birth of his daughter at around the age of 30 years old. Along the way, he entertained thoughts of suicide. The question becomes, how was he able to dig his way out and overcome the incredible grip that depression had on his life. And more incredible about his story is that he was able to rise and overcome without expensive therapy or anti-depressant medications. In today’s episode, we’ll take an in-depth exploration into his story, how depression nearly cost him everything, and later how he turned it all around to take full responsibility and ownership for his life, the choices he was making, and the thoughts that he allowed to play out in his mind. This is a truly incredible episode that I think everyone, no matter where you are in your journey of life, will get something out of. Josiah offers incredible thoughts for not only overcoming depression and anxiety, but how you or anyone can truly put their best foot forward and live their best life.
