The Brandon and Amy show

By Brandon Charles

Throughout the past two years of lockdown, Brandon and Amy spent every hour of the day with each other. We talk about everything couples talk about, including the strange oddities we see while scrolling or just living life. Communication and humor are the keys to a healthy relationship, and we would love for you to hang out with us. Updated weekly, also contains occasional interviews with inspiring people who have a story to tell.

Let’s try something new
Brandon and Amy are starting to make their goals for next year, and reflecting back on some times when they tried some things, that were a little silly. We talk about how the five stages of grief are actually misleading, charting a new career path, and some Christmas traditions and gifts we got when we were in school. Play it backwards
OK, so maybe you don’t actually have to play this backwards, but maybe if you do you’ll hear Amy say some devilish things, or not! I don’t know why kids these days, are becoming obsessed with the cassettes. We talk karaoke songs, maintenance screw ups, and accepting the fact that Christmas advertising is going to start soon. every Sunday, we post our couple conversational radio show podcast, and now every Wednesday, we post a podcast with the disabilities professional. Taken back our community with Tai Campbell
We are launching a new series called bringing humanity to disability. Brandon had a show from 2016 through 2019 where he interviewed professionals with various disabilities. This interview with Tai is from 2016. He discusses how he got a brain injury, how people in his life often didn’t want to discuss it, how he finally came to terms with that, and the public outreach and artistic creativity he is promoting with children and adults in his community. wrong side of the coffee cup
Whether you love or hate the changing weather, I think we can all admit all over the world that it’s quite the adjustment. Brandon tries his best this week not to be a curmudgeon, spoiler alert, it doesn’t work out that well. Is there really a purpose to playing the lottery, or having decorative pillows and blankets? There are some great, and silly technological inventions. And we mourn the days gone by where we can eat hot food and get away with it. Keep up with us on social media at BrandonAmyshow and thanks for listening.

Being an adult sucks
From kitchen disasters, to maintenance failures, to way too much paperwork, this weeks title says it all. We do have some fun discussions though like what are some strange lies your parents told you? Food talk, again?
We promise, even though the first several minutes are about food, we do talk about some other things. Just know with us though, it all comes back to food, always! A Japanese company is making a piece of technology that supposedly quiets those loud talking people in grocery stores who insist on having phone conversations. Strangers that became your best friends in odd circumstances, and people who buy things at celebrity auctions weird us out. Brandonamyshow Facebook and Twitter.

Evil Eats
When did we get to the age where the food we eat and the spices we have bite back? We love music, but we aren’t convinced festivals are the best way to see it. We don’t know about you, but thoroughly cleaning the house beyond the basic necessities when guests come over, seems a little much. Remember when we lived today
Remember when we lived today
Nostalgia for days gone by seems to be the latest craze, but are things as good back then as we claim they were? And while we’re going down that rabbit hole, let’s talk skating rinks, and some of our favorite foods like pierogies. Brandon thinks there’s a limit to what you can put in a pierogi. Plus we talk about the teachers that inspired us, and the new mattress which was the reason we didn’t have an episode out last week. We are back, and, I guess as good as ever!
