Destroy Your Self-Limiting Beliefs

Destroy Your Self-Limiting Beliefs

In this episode, we're talking about something really close to my heart: identifying and replacing self-limiting beliefs.

The perfect example in Scripture is Moses, who, when prompted by God to go and speak to the Pharaoh, told God all the reasons he couldn't!

Using Moses as our illustration, join me as I help you find and destroy the internal beliefs that are limiting your potential.

I Don't Have a Guarantee, But I Have a Promise!

I Don't Have a Guarantee, But I Have a Promise!

Our internal fears and anxieties of what could go wrong in the future often leave us wishing we had a guarantee, of what would happen, how something would end, or what the ultimate outcome of a thing would be.
But God doesn't give guarantees about most things, but He does give promises! In this episode, we talk about the difference between the two, and are reminded that even where we don't have guarantees, we do have a promise!

Love Will Change the World

Love Will Change the World

In one of the most revelatory passages in Scripture, John says in 1 John 4 that "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." This verse, and the entirety of this passage, shows us that LOVE is the clearest marker of being a Christian, and that it is the very PROOF of our relationship with God.

So, why do so many Christians think of their holiness, doctrinal purity, political convictions, church attendance, and nearly anything else as the foundation and fundamental proof of their relationship with God, when John is so clear that LOVE, above all things, is the evidence of a transformed life!?

Let's talk about it.

You Are NOT a Victim!

One of the greatest obstacles for many to overcome is the victim mentality. In this episode, we break down how to acknowledge our struggles, but not be defined by them.

God Goes First

God Goes First

God is omnipresent, meaning He is at all places.

But He's not only everywhere- He's everywhere at all times.

What would it do to your confidence level if you knew that you were never alone, and that whatever new situation you were stepping into, God was already there?

INSTEAD OF JUDGING THEM... EVALUATE YOU!

INSTEAD OF JUDGING THEM... EVALUATE YOU!

Bishop Jakes recently said 'it is easier to castigate somebody you admire rather than admit that you relate to them [not just at their best, but at their worst.]' Often, when we see public figures, particularly faith leaders, fail, we pick up our stones and begin throwing them at them, rather than examining ourselves and realizing that the same seeds that birthed their failures live within us. Perhaps we would be better off learning from their failures, rather than calling them failures and dismissing them entirely. Perhaps when we realize that we are all human, we will be more able to judge ourselves, which is a righteous goal, rather than judging others, which is only bad for us.

Everything You Want is On the OTHER SIDE of a Difficult Decision!

Everything You Want is On the OTHER SIDE of a Difficult Decision!

2023 is the year that we're going to actually do the difficult things God's leading us to do! For some, that might mean leaving what's familiar to start something new. For others, that might be staying in what's challenging. Either way, if God is the one leading you to do it, follow Him in faith, and see what He does!

The Blessing of a Clean Conscience

In this episode we look at some of Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 1, and the relevance of holiness.

2 Corinthians 1:12. Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity. We have done so, relying not on worldly wisdom but on God’s grace.

Why does almost every phone you see have a case on it? Because phones are fragile, and they're valuable, so we want to protect them. Dreams are similar; exposing them too early or to the wrong people can delay or derail them.

Learning to See God in Everything

Learning to See God in Everything

It's easy to see God when you're hearing a sermon on a Sunday, and God is pretty clear when you're studying Colossians, but how do you learn to see Him in your classroom, or your crazy co-workers? If God is truly omnipresent, He's present in every part of our lives; perhaps we just need to learn where to look.

This episode's featured song is Love Won't Give Up from Elevation Worship.

CAN WE SEE REVIVAL IN THIS GENERATION?

CAN WE SEE REVIVAL IN THIS GENERATION?

The next generation (students in college, high school, middle school, and younger) have the lowest rates of faith in God and desire to go to Church in the history of our country, and the highest rates of depression, suicide, anxiety. And they don't know what to do about it. Can this generation really see revival? They can, and it starts with us.

Don't Miss the Miraculous

No matter our background or beliefs, many of us feel overwhelmed and sad in our lives. What if we were missing the miracles in our lives by simply overlooking the things around us? And what if the "supernatural miracles" that we read and hear about were happening all around us, even as you listen to this episode?

There’s Enough

There’s Enough

We often view life through a lens of limitation and lack and become frustrated when we see other people being blessed because we believe that there's only so much to go around for everyone. God's Kingdom is limitless and unending, and learning to believe that there truly is enough for everyone in every area enables us to take up joy and drop jealously in every situation.

Two Choices For Humanity

Two Choices For Humanity

Often, we experience internal frustration because we're more focused on God's promise of outward fruit than on His process of obtaining it. Jesus' teaching in John 15 shows us how to fix our focus on the one thing that will actually produce fruit in and through our lives.

This Changes Everything

This Changes Everything

The message that we claim to believe as Christians, that God loves broken, fallen humanity enough to leave heaven to save us by dying on the Cross and defeating sin and death by being resurrected three days after dying, should change absolutely everything about our lives. But so often, it doesn't. What's the disconnect, and how can we allow the revolutionary message of Jesus to permeate increasingly more of our lives?

Ingredients for the Impossible

Ingredients for the Impossible

God is a God of miracles, and He desires to work them in and through us. But how do we see them come to pass in our lives? In Matthew 20, two blind men ask for and receive their sight from Jesus, and in the process, show us five key factors in seeing God move in impossible ways, both in 18 AD and 2018.

Experience God for Yourself (with Trey Gouch)

Experience God for Yourself (with Trey Gouch)

Many of us have heard stories and read passages of the miracle-working, supernatural God of the Bible, but have yet to have a personal interaction with His wonder-working power. What if miracles and truly having experiences with God wasn't just a thing of the New Testament, but a thing for the 21st century? What if the Cross wasn't meant to be the final revelation of God’s goodness, but rather an open door into a life full of experiences of His faithfulness? Scripture invites us to "taste and see that the Lord is good," but how is can we practically do it?

7 Steps To Sinning Less

7 Steps To Sinning Less

There are very few people, Christian or otherwise, who would say they don't want to sin less. We all live imperfectly, and we know it, and for the most part, we genuinely want to change. What if within the narrrative of the very first sin were both the same mistakes that we make each and every time that we sin, as well as solutions that will empower us to sin less?

Living Like a Legend

Living Like a Legend

Jesus' call on the lives of all who follow Him is to live as He lived (Colossians 1:27). Knowing we can't do it alone, He gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us to do it. And as we live as He lived, we point people to Him. What if the best way to point people to Jesus is to live as He lived: fully alive and called as a son or daughter?

Don’t Settle

Outside of following Christ, the person you marry will be the single biggest decision of your life. With the stakes being this high, the amount of high potential, quality young Christians end up settling in this area of life is shocking. How do you know what to look for in someone to date, and what does it really mean to settle? To settle on your spouse is to settle on your purpose, so how can you confidently decide who you should date? Rejecting Fear, Receiving Strength

At any given time, our souls only have the ability to focus on one thing. When we allow fear to sit in the foreground of our minds, we inevitably prevent ourselves from living in the strength that God wants to give us. In this meditation from the book of Zechariah, we look at how to reject fear and recieve strength.
