Pet Peeves about parking, the music of 1983, and a little parenting on the fly.  You probably think you've heard this before, but we swear it's different this time.  

The Sons of the Double Cheeseburger have returned, long after you forgot they ever existed.  Here to talk about life, the best music of 1982, and baseball.  Seems timely, right?  How did you do without these guys?

This episode is a compilation of several live recordings when Brandon was in the Chicago area in June.  Enjoy Brandon and Kevin, along with assorted family members who may be guests against their wishes.  The topics include college life, burritos, baseball, and family.  This is recorded in a restaurant, a minivan, and a dining room, so sound quality is a little raw, but the energy is MWAH! Enjoy!

Kevin and Brandon catch up, and then play a game they call Baseball Card Showdown. Finally, Kevin gives an overdue record review of an overelooked album by Screaming Trees. 

This is a shorter episode with conversation Brandon and Kevin had about favorite shows and actors which didn't fit into the episode on Justified ("Fire In the Hole").  Also, they discuss the most prudent plans for finishing a bottle of moonshine. 

Sometimes Kevin and Brandon will recommend media to each other.  In this episode they discuss the TV show "Justified," a different kind of law enforcement show from the 2010s.  Whether you're a fan of Justified or are interested in being introduced to something new to you and worth your time you should find it to your liking.  

Kevin and Brandon explain why they've been MIA for the last month, and talk about baseball cards, mostly.  

Kevin and Brandon talk about how Major League Baseball finds itself in the middle of the public health discussion because of the plan to start spring training while the vaccine for Covid-19 is still in the early days of distribution.  Then, they actually talk about flatulence, and finally about the Chicago Cubs plans for 2021.  You can see the thread that holds all of these things together.  

Kevin and Brandon talk about The Wax Pack, a 2020 book by Brad Balukjian about baseball cards, baseball players, and a journey.  They also meander into each of those sub-topics personally.  

Kevin and Brandon talk mostly about baseball in this episode, with a few other side trips sprinkled in.  Mostly trying to stay grounded in the midst of a chaotic world.  We hope you find it to be a pleasant diversion.  

Kevin and Brandon answer the question, "What music were you wrong about the first time around?"  They talk about bands and songs that they probably should have given a second chance to earlier, and music that didn't age as well as they thought it would.  If you are listening on a platform other than Spotify, we can't share the songs with you within the podcast, but you can go look them up if you don't already know them.  Sorry about that. Kevin and Brandon answer the question, "What is a song or artist you were wrong about with your initial opinion?"  They talk about bands they should have given a better chance the first time around, and bands that might not have been as special as they originally thought. 

This episode Kevin catches us up on his recent trip to Detroit, and some of the experiences he had there.  We also talk about drunk driving, and where you the esteemed listener lives.  Not in that order, exactly, and not in any way that is strictly related. Enjoy!  

Kevin and Brandon get back in the saddle after a lay-off.  They have a lot to talk about, but instead they talk about 70's pop music.  Then they get around to talking about today.  Real, gritty stuff. 

Kevin and Brandon talk about family history, which leads to a conversation about regret.  But not in a downer sort of way.  You'll see. 

This week, Kevin tries coffee for the first time at the beginning of the conversation, and then his brain won't shut off.  Brandon comes along for the ride, having been the pusher of said coffee in the first place.  A good time is had by all. 

This week Brandon and Kevin talk about the book "10 Innings at Wrigley", about a legendary baseball game from 1979.  They go pretty deep on the book and the players highlighted in the book.  If you like baseball, you are going to enjoy this trip in the Way-Back Machine.  The conversation covered a lot of ground (some of which will probably appear soon in a bonus episode), so there's at least one less-than-subtle transition.  Hold on to your hats!
