I am Brandyn Jaymes. I just graduated with my Master's of Divinity and am now at a loss for what I plan to do. As I figure out the future I plan to share updates here as well as talk about what I’ve been learning the last 10 years in college/seminary.

pray away: a pastor's review
I watched the Netflix documentary called " Pray Away". The film focuses on conversion therapy for gay people and the harm it can and has done to a large group of people. This film and review is for anyone willing to listen and understand a community that God truly cares about.   Follow me on Social Media: @brandynjaymes Find me Online: www.brandynjaymes.com Support the projects: patreon.com/brandynjaymes

emotional worship & Ephesians 1:1-2
This episode I talk about worship nights and how they can often be self focused and harmful rather than God focused and holy. We also look at the introduction to Ephesians.  Follow me on social media: @brandynjaymes  Find me online: www.brandynjaymes.com  Support the project: patreon.com/brandynjaymes

Drinkin' Beer. Talkin’ Paul. Amen.
This week I heard a song by Chase Rice and Florida Georgia Line and wanted to give my perspective on it. We also look at the beginning stages of study as I begin to write a Story Guide on Ephesians. You can get a copy of the previous Story Guide on Philippians or on Ephesians 1:1-2 by clicking here. gender, white names, and the future of the podcast
This episode might seem sporadic but I wanted to include recordings that weren't quite long enough to be a separate episode. So in this episode we talk about the gender of God, why there are so many white names in the Bible, and what my plans are for the Podcast going forward.  Follow me on Social Media: @brandynjaymes Find me online: www.brandynjaymes.com Support the project: patreon.com/brandynjaymes

as God has treated you... (Exodus 22:21-24)
I preached this past Sunday (07.25.2021). I spoke from Exodus about treating the foreigner, the widow, and the orphan well. We look at some historical and cultural background regarding the vulnerable groups and we look at our own identity through this lens.

hats off...
I had a conversation recently that made me question the common church phrase of "come as you are" and "all are welcome." I hope you listen and maybe begin to shift you language and your actions because of it.

see it to believe it (JOHN 20.19-31)
This is one of the first times I was given the opportunity to preach in person to a congregation. It was a fun and enlightening experience and might just be happening again soon! what is important (Philippians 1:12-26)
If you take the time to look at how you spend time and money what would the priorities of your life be? What does Paul have to say about priorities. Let's look at it together.    Read Philippians 1:12-26: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+1%3A12-26&version=NIV   Find me online: www.brandynjaymes.com  Find me on social media: @brandynjaymes   remember to #sharethestory
