Supplementation: The Unconquerable Supplements

Supplementation: The Unconquerable Supplements

I m not a doctor and I am not pretending to be one here on the internet, but I have created a supplementation protocol that has seemed to work for me as an N=1 experiment. These vitamins and supplements seems to work for me and my microbiome but that does not mean they are necessarily right for you. Please consult a medical professional before starting any type of supplementation routine.

This discussion of my supplementation is merely food (or maybe I should say, supplements?) for thought. As I mention in the episode, this seems to work for me as a 34 year old teacher, coach, and runner, but this will not be the routine that I will follow for the rest of my days- I will need to update this as I age and my body requires different things to continue to improve not only my health, but also my longevity.

Have something you think I should try out? Leave a comment and let me know- I'm always open to trying new ways of leveling up and reaching peak performance! If you enjoy what you're hearing, please feel free to share these episodes, like on Facebook, and subscribe wherever it is you get your podcasts!

The following is a short clip which I recorded upon getting back to my car after finishing the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge. To date, we have raised just under $10,000 for the Covid-19 Relief fund from Red Bank Regionals' school based youth services program, The Source. Donations are still being accepted at: https://www.rbrhs.org/Page/1577. There is also a link to donate towards the Companeros de Comida fund to raise money to feed local families.

Don't Settle For Mediocre

Don't Settle For Mediocre

Today's lesson comes from Bob Richards, a three time Olympian, and a two time gold medalist. Richards rejected all things mediocre, and expected and was driven towards perfection- so too should we strive for exactly that. As you go forward in your running, in your schooling, and all that you do- DO NOT settle for mediocrity! You deserve your absolute best- expect that and hold yourself to your own best standard!

We are Heading to the Hills

We are Heading to the Hills

Can running be difficult? YES! Can some workouts knock you down? YES! BUT- you don't have to let them! YOU can make up your mind about whether or not you will be conquered, YOU can decide to BE UNCONQUERABLE- I will show you how. Today's quote, for clarification, reads "You are capable of more than you know. Choose a goal that seems right for you and strive to be the best, however hard the path. Aim high. Behave honorably. Prepare to be alone at times, and to endure failure. Persist! The world needs all you can give."-E.O. Wilson.

The audio got clipped after 5:00, so there is a momentary interlude, but hopefully as I continue to grow with this platform I learn a little bit about audio splicing and editing- thanks for understanding!
