Houses of Grace

Houses of Grace

Some people claim the site that sits at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains is so beautiful and serene that it reaches up and touches the face of God. It's a place covered with lush, green forests where crystal blue streams rush down the majestic hillsides, refreshing the land's inhabitants.

But, on the other hand, some call it the saddest location in Ohio. Why? What happened here so long ago? Why haven't many heard about this tragic location? Make sure you tune in to learn about the bravery and faith displayed by those in the Houses of Grace.

Changing Scenery

Changing Scenery

Light snow continued to fall as the yellow and orange sky transformed into the blackness of night. It wasn't dark, though...not dark in the least. Christmas lights of every color lit up the modest neighborhood; lights surrounded the houses while others hung from the white-tipped trees. Milk jugs with candles tucked inside lined every sidewalk and street, providing ample light for weary Christmas travelers. The small family couldn't have asked for a better holiday season; everything was just perfect.....EXCEPT

Behind the glistening snow lie something tragic. A family's strange disappearance, three potential murders, and a life prison sentence all await on the outside. So what do these two scenes have in common? Make sure you tune in to find out!

Historic Landmarks

Historic Landmarks

I knew it was temporary, but I stopped and took it all in. I closed my eyes so I wouldn't see the mounds of the dead and the victims of war scattered across the broken road. I tried to picture what this spot looked like so long ago. Had there been peace? Was there community? Did the children play? Before daybreak I would soon find the answers to my questions, but would I survive to tell?

Stadium Gate

Stadium Gate

A beautiful stadium reaching eight stories high, packed with boisterous fans jammed in every seat, cheering as if it was the Superbowl. Yet, it wasn't. The field was vacant. Why was the crowd cheering, and why did the track and swimming pool include no lanes? Something felt off and that was before the athletes arrived. Then, things got really interesting. Make sure you tune in to find out what happens when you enter the Stadium Gate. Written in the spirit of the Olympics and in honor of a special someone.

Time’s Dance Floor

Time’s Dance Floor

Patricia, yes, I remember her. She was stunning! She had light brown hairy lying softly on her shoulders, striking blue eyes, and a smile that could brighten any room. I was supposed to meet her here 70 years ago, but I didn't. Every summer after, she consistently showed up at the Argonne Amusement Park, waiting on me to return, hoping to finish our dance. I never did. I broke the promise for no other reason than I thought she was too good for me.

But, I've changed; I guess age does that to a person. It took me 70 years, but I've realized the error of my ways. I want to see Patricia again. I wonder if she will return this summer? If she does, will she notice that I turned into a broken-down 92-year-old graybeard, battered by the effects of time? But, more importantly, will she forgive me? I know I wouldn't. Is she even still alive?

My only saving grace is that I had always heard there was magic at the Argonne Forest Amusement Park. I sure hope that is true because I long to see the love of my life again. So will the old park's magic unite us to finish our dance on TIME’S DANCE FLOOR? Make sure you tune in to find out.

The Hillside Crosses

The Hillside Crosses

Mr. Bender, a Senior Vice President at a major medical supply company, made it standard practice to fire as many employees as H.R. would allow before the end of the year as a cost-saving measure. His goal was to cut just enough employees to save money, but not so many that production suffered. Every December, it was the same: fire and count the savings. And each year, he was getting more and more efficient at his "corporate game" until one day, his game changed thanks to an old wooden cross and the grace of an employee he once mercilessly fired.
