Admittedly My priorities are just a tad unusual. This video podcast highlights two of my priorities. The need to have somewhere to sit and think. The need of something in my life that will help me to focus on the future.

Every  motorcycle I’ve owned had a sweet spot. The Honda 90 would would go all  day at 40 mph. Suzuki 650… the double nickel. Honda 750, whatever the  speed limit was. Kawasaki 1000cc chopper anything up to 240kph. The old  650 English Iron 60mph. Same deal with my cameras and lenses.

The  Sweet Spot is in every part of life. Some call it the Middle Way. Others  the Goldilocks Zone. Call it what you will it’s real and life just  works better when you find it.

Arabs and Jews trace their ancestry to the Book of Genesis. They were  enemies back in the day and they are enemies now. Think of it as the  penultimate Blood Feud. Let’s skip ahead into history. The time of the  Crusades. Jews, Christians and Muslims are killing each other to decide  who gets to rule Holy Jerusalem. If you take another look at the map I  borrowed from the BBC you’ll notice that the same players are still  there. This goes a long way to explain why the same Blood Feud still  rages. I dare say that even if someone was to nuke Jerusalem the same  groups would keep the Blood Feud going over the glow in the dark scraps.

Some days I have a plan other days I wing it today I'm just lost. A wee bit of everything . Royal Enfield motorcycles, the crumbling American Empire and the problems in the South China Sea.

Looking back over my life I find that it is the choices made out of love that have worked the best. I've also realized that my right choice may not be your right choice.

This podcast was inspired by a beautiful leaf. Outside in the garden it had one beauty. Here in the studio another. Only when I took off my blinkers was I able to find the new beauty. Perhaps we all need to remove ou8r cultural blinkers to find the beauty in others. And by finding that beauty finding a way to live in Shalom.
