Transformation by Elevation
True transformation in the Kingdom occurs when we allow our mindsets to come into alignment with the thoughts of God. As we begin to see life from His higher perspective, our circumstances become our training grounds and we learn to walk with God at higher heights and farther distances.
Key Scriptures:
+ Amos 3:3. Can two walk together unless they are agreed?
+ Isaiah 55:8-9. My thoughts are not your thoughts nor my ways your way. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my thoughts higher than your thoughts, and my ways higher than your ways.
+ Colossians 3:1-3. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Favor for Specific Circumstances
In today’s session, Graham Cooke explores how to recognize and experience God’s favor tailored to the specific circumstances we encounter. This type of favor shines brightest not when things are going smoothly, but particularly, when they aren’t.

Key Scriptures
+ Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
+ Deuteronomy 31:6-8. Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you…
+ Isaiah 41:10. Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Expecting God’s Constant Favor
Favor is released because God has a passion for us that is designed to provoke astonishment. It’s a new creation reality that upgrades our expectation to the same level that Jesus enjoyed. Regardless of life events or any form of hardship, favor can elevate us to a place and position that empowers us to receive under pressure.
Key Scriptures:
+ John 17:23. I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.
+ 2 Peter 1:3-4. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises.

The Process Makes Us Rich
The process we engage in with God is what makes us truly rich … not just the outcome at the end of the journey. We feel safe and free when we know how He wants to walk with us, and we are continually becoming more like Him as we learn to love the process. Joy, peace, and delight are not postponed until the outcome is seen. They can be discovered at every turn, throughout the entirety of our growth and development.
Key Scripture:
+ Jeremiah 17:7-8. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord.

Finding Your Fight of Faith
God is passionate about every aspect of your life. He created you for good works, and He invites you into the easy yoke and light burden of walking with Him. When the pressures of the world fight for our attention, how do we uncover our Kingdom assignment and partner with God’s passion for our world?
Looking for more brilliant content on Fighting Your Fight of Faith? Join Graham Cooke and Dionne van Zyl for a FREE 1-hour live training on Tuesday, March 5th at 1 PM (Pacific Time). CLICK HERE to sign up.
Key Scriptures:
+ 1 Timothy 6:12. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
+ Ephesians 2:10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
+ Matthew 11:28-30. Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
+ John 5:19-20. So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.

Upstairs / Downstairs
Most Christians have resigned to living two separate lives. We find ourselves setting boundaries between our spiritual lives in the Kingdom and the “real world” where our workplaces and families seem to reside. God’s intention has always been for us to live fully integrated lives. So how do we make God’s reality our reality?
We’re getting ready for our annual virtual conference by sharing the highlights you loved most from Brilliance23. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for extended content, bonus Q&A time with Graham, and personal stories from community members just like you!
Key Scriptures: + John 5:19-20. I speak to you eternal truth. The Son is unable to do anything from himself or through his own initiative. I only do the works that I see the Father doing, for the Son does the same works as his Father… + Ephesians 2:6. And He raised us up together with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus

Unstuck from Spiritual Discipline
There’s something better than discipline that’s always on offer with God. For every upgrade He has for us in our identity and calling, there is a relational invitation into joy and delight which prepares us to thrive at a new level.
This devotional comes from pages 66 and 67 of letter #7 in The Nature of Freedom (2017 edition).
Key Scriptures:
+ 2 Corinthians 3:18. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
+ Philippians 2:13. Philippians 2:13: For it is GOD who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Unstuck from Limitations of Logic
We can get stuck for all kinds of reasons, but rarely is there a way out when we put logic and reason above God’s wisdom. When we understand that His nature is constant and unchanging, His ways of thinking are designed to produce faith and trust within us.
This devotional comes from the first paragraph on page 66 of letter #7 in The Nature of Freedom.
Key Scriptures:
+ Isaiah 55:9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
+ Philippians 4:7. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
+ Genesis 18:14: Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.
+ Numbers 14:24 But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.

Unstuck from Trying Harder
Most of us have places where we feel stuck, but we’ve mistakenly thought that all the weight is on us to become unstuck. In the Kingdom, however, the responsibility for experiences with the Truth is never with us. It’s always with God.
This devotional comes from the first part of letter #7 (”An Invitation to Come Unstuck”) on page 65 in The Nature of Freedom.
Key Scriptures:
+ Ephesians 2:10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
+ Jeremiah 31:33-34. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people…

Have Another Thought
"If all your thinking has brought you to a place you don’t like, have another thought.”
Remember, we don’t become a new creation by changing our behavior. We put off the old things completely. Then we discover who we already are in Jesus and step into that identity, guided by the Holy Spirit.
Key Scriptures:
+ 1 Corinthians 6:17. But the one who is united and joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
+ Galatians 5:1. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
+ John 16:13-15. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.
+ Colossians 1:27. To them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

From Past to Present-Future
We aren’t taking anything from our old nature into our new covenant relationship with Christ. God’s goodness and mercy completely redeems our past. Now we can be “present-future” focused in all our dealings, living fully in the present moment while eagerly anticipating what God has in store for the future. In every difficult situation we face, He simply compels us to see, think, and speak differently as we learn to walk with Him in newness of life.
Key Scriptures:
+ 2 Corinthians 5:14-21. […] namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation…
+ Colossians 3:9-10. Do not lie to one another, since you stripped off the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created it
+ Ephesians 4:20-24. […] and that you are to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

We Only Deal With the New
Every situation is primarily about one thing: being made into the image of God and receiving an identity upgrade. Instead of making panicked decisions based on where we’ve come from, Christ living within us is the empowering presence that allows us to see who we are becoming and where we are headed with Him.
Key Scriptures:
+ Romans 7:19. For [when I live under the old covenant law] I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.
+ Ephesians 4:20-24. But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to rid yourselves of the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you are to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
+ Colossians 3:1-3. Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
+ Romans 6:6. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
+ Philippians 2:13. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Fully Alive to Christ
God gives us full permission to step into His perception and mindset about our old nature. He desires to cultivate a lifestyle focused on who we are in Jesus because all the old has passed away. Everything has become new. We get to consider ourselves dead to sin and fully alive in Christ.
Key Scriptures:
+ Romans 6:10. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
+ Colossians 3:1-3. Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

The Accomplishment of the Cross
In the perception of God, your old nature is dead. We’re learning that death to self is not an action on our part because Jesus has already accomplished this on the cross. As we are alive to Christ, we are automatically dead to sin.
Key Scriptures:
+ Galatians 2:20. I have been crucified to Christ, it is now Christ who lives in me, and the life I live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me
+ Romans 6:6. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Expectation of Habitation
God is committed to transforming the way we see things. He helps us understand that unlike the visitational culture of the old testament, we are now living in a habitational new covenant. His Spirit is here to stay and that changes everything … from the way we perceive day-to-day life, to the way we engage with prayer.
Key Scriptures:
+ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
+ John 16:15. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.
+ 1 Corinthians 2:10. These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.

The Lens of the Kingdom
As we grow up into God, a continual upgrade of our lenses is required. The good news of the gospel is that our new-creation status not only changes the way we walk, it also changes the way we see. When we allow our perspective to align with that of heaven, we begin to see a lens full of peace, hope, and endless possibilities in the Kingdom.
Key Scriptures:
+ Acts 2:12,37. And they were beside themselves with amazement and were greatly perplexed, saying one to another, “What could this mean?” […] Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what are we to do?”

A Journey into God's Perspective
A lens change is about embracing the truth of who we are in Christ and allowing that truth to transform our perspective, mindset, and language. Sometimes, this process can be uncomfortable. But the Lord is committed to making us more like Him, which means He has to take us into territory we've never been.
Key Scriptures:
+ Acts 10:28. And he said unto them, you know that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
+ Acts 9:17-19. Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again…

Every Negative Has a Job to Do
Every situation has to bend to the rule of heaven, and every negative in your life has a specific job to do. The role of a negative is always to reveal its opposite, which means that your current circumstances are ideal soil for your next breakthrough in Christ.
Key Scriptures:
+ Galatians 5:22-23. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
+ Isaiah 61:7. Instead of shame, My people will have a double portion, and instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their share; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.

Partakers of the Divine Nature
Radical Permission #3: We are created to live in the undivided affection of God. In that place, our grace and peace multiplies. Every circumstance is designed to confirm who Jesus is for you and who you are becoming in Him.
Key Scriptures:
+ 2 Peter 1:2-4. May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, for His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Through these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of lust.
+ Genesis 1:26. Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness…”
The Father's Love Never Ends
Radical Permission #2: You are one with Christ, which means that the Father loves you in exactly the same way He loves Jesus. Everyday, in every situation, we are celebrating that truth.
Key Scriptures:
+ John 15:9. As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love.
+ John 17:20. I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
God's Constancy is Your Confidence
Radical Permission #1: God’s unchanging heart can always be depended upon. His consistent goodness allows us to stand in absolute confidence of who He will be for us no matter what is occurring.
The Relational Heart of God
The world doesn’t read its Bible, but it does read its Christians. What if the key to unlocking someone’s heart isn’t always dependent on how well you can communicate the main points of the Gospel? What if the key rests in simply taking a moment to tune in to the relational heart of God?
Key Scriptures:
+ Isaiah 41:9. I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.
+ John 16:13. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. The Language of the Kingdom
God has a vision of you that is unchanging. New Testament prophecy speaks to that image of you. It is spoken through the context of the Gospel of Grace, with words of encouragement, exhortation, and comfort. The heart of New Testament prophecy is not about predicting the future or revealing hidden secrets, but about speaking life, hope, and love into others.
Key Scriptures:
+ Luke 1:13. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
+ Luke 16:16. The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John came; since then, the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone presses into.
+ Acts 5. (Story of Ananias and Saphira)

Prophecy Creates Momentum
Words of edification and exhortation are meant to create a momentum within us. These words speak directly to our identity and they tell us exactly how we’re known in heaven. They can provide keys that propel us into our next chapter so that we don’t have to keep repeating the current one.
Key Scriptures:
+ 1 Corinthians 14:1-5. Pursue love, yet earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For the one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people, but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries. But the one who prophesies speaks to people for edification, exhortation, and comfort…
+ John 15:11. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

The Prophecy of Scripture
Behind every scripture is the passion of God to include you in the fellowship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God uses scripture so that we can personally understand His true nature, our identity in Christ, and who we are called to be on earth as we are known in heaven.
Key Scriptures:
+ Luke 1:11-17. But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord…
+ Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

The Power of the New Covenant
Jesus didn't come to simply patch up the old covenant. He came to replace it entirely. While the old covenant relied on sacrifices, rules, and striving for righteousness, the new covenant is all about Jesus — who perfectly fulfilled the law on our behalf. Now, our salvation is a gift, and sanctification isn't about earning it through our performance. It's about embracing our identity in Christ and growing in His likeness.
Key Scriptures:
+ Hebrews 8:6. But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, to the extent that He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises.
+ Hebrew 8:13. When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is about to disappear.
+ Romans 6:10. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.

The End of Powerless Christianity
Legalism depicts God as distant, harsh, joyless, and uninvolved in our lives in any meaningful way. It tells us that He doesn’t talk to us about our future. He doesn’t heal anymore. The most we can hope for is going to church and paying our tithes. But the good news is that Jesus has become our guarantee of a better covenant.

Freedom From Performance
God is determined to free us from legalism and to empower us to understand the fullness of freedom that belongs to us in Christ. The heart of God is to see us unbound, completely free, and able to walk with Him without being subject to any rules and regulations created by man.
Key Scriptures:
+ Romans 13:8-10. Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law. For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.
+ Hebrews 6:13. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and reliable and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
+ 1 Peter 2:9. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light

Breaking the Cycle of Negativity
Negativity can quickly become an obstacle that prevents us from seeing the goodness of God that’s always present. If negativity has taken space in your life, today is the day to break the cycle and step into a FRESH encounter with the heart of God toward you.
Key Scriptures:
+ Romans 8:5-7. For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so...
+ Ephesians 4:29. Let no corrupt talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear...
+ Lamentations 3:21-24. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”

Dealing with Difficult People
The people that we find most challenging are often the perfect catalyst in our transformation into the image of Christ. There is always a place of acceptance and safety in God’s heart, and when His heart overwhelms our own, we dominate the enemy and open tough people up to kindness.
Key Scriptures:
+ 1 John 4:19. We love because he first loved us.
+ 1 Peter 5:7. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Dealing With Overwhelming Emotions
How does God walk with us when negative emotions threaten to overwhelm and take charge? How are our emotions being made in His image and what does that process look like? The antidote to negative feelings is not to banish emotion from our spiritual development, but to discover the emotion of God that He wants us to experience instead.
