Linda and Jane discuss episode 3 of 'The 10th Kingdom,' wherein Wolf is on his monthly cycle and creates a creepy energy with the ladies; everyone's hoping the wishing well will be a gusher again; an ungrateful magic bird gets prissy; and  Virginia shows what an awful person she is by assassinating the memory of Queen, trying to convince Wolf that her and her dad literally leaving him to die would be an acceptable thing, and slut-shaming young shepherdesses (one which is a murder victim). Yeah this one was CRINGY.

WARNING: The episode we cover uses a racist stereotype and slur with a band of trappers they call 'Gypsies'.

The girls continue their journey with the 2nd installment of 'The 10th Kingdom' wherein we learn about magical drugs, Tony fingers a fish, Prince becomes a literal good Golden boi, and things get hairy for Virginia. Stay gold!

We're finally finishing our coverage of Sarah J Maas's 'Throne of Glass' book series! This is the final episode of 4 on the last book in the series, 'Kingdom of Ash.' 

We discuss how difficult things have been for Aedion (though he was too harsh on Lysandra), our issue with being pandered to at the end, why Fleetfoot would probably be better off with Evangeline, Dorian's Starlording at the end, and how perfect Asterin's story turned out. Plus, we deserve bonus points for discussing the fate of The Thirteen without losing it.

This is part 3 of 4 for our review of "Kingdom of Ash," the last novel in Sarah J. Maas's book series "Throne of Glass."

We talk about Dorian infiltrating Morath and possibly getting freaky with a Valg queen (specifically Maeve), Elide delivering a very well-deserved punishment to Uncle Vernon, the need for more sexy details about how Elide and Lorcan break the castle, and an awesome cameo by characters from another awesome book series by Maas; Jane posits the question of whether or not Dorian, Maeve, and Erawan sustained brain damage between books; Linda starts creating sexy fan-fic (is it technically slash fic?); and everyone get's triple-crossed, but it's okay because Jane knows that Linda knows that Jane knows about it.

We're continuing with Part 2 of what will probably be a 4-part episode covering the final book in the 'Throne of Glass' series, 'Kingdom of Ash'. In this episode, we discuss Manon, Queen of the Witches; Dorian, who's just way too powerful; Lysandra, Aedion; and (briefly) the fierce, badass b, Kaltain.

I know we covered Lorcan in the previous episode, but we enjoyed creating a visual of a disastrous makeover for him. So...this episode was recorded mid-January, when Linda was scrambling to finish her degree program. Thanks for returning for the conclusion of our coverage of 'The Legend of the Christmas Witch'!

In this episode, we discuss what makes the director, Michele Soavi, a filmmaking legend (hint: it's not what you're thinking...unless, you're thinking, 'Wait, didn't Soavi direct a lot of awesome horror movies?' In that case, it's exactly what you're thinking. Carry on.)

Jane emphasizes the importance of proper spelling in closed captioning, Linda calls for the 'Dino Bike' cut, and we both discuss what could have saved this movie. Also, we discuss the hidden storyline, wherein Jesse/Giuseppe has been training his whole (albeit short) life to determine the difference in smells of poisons and sedatives; building-up a resistance to the most common forms of poison; and learning to MacGyver himself out of danger.

We celebrated the holidays by watching Michele Soavi's "The Legend of the Christmas Witch" (aka "La Befana Vien di Notte") from 2018.

The movie is about La Befana, who Jane covered in 'Minisode 3: La Befana and Lil BUB', who spends her days as the school teacher, Paola. When a child whose present arrived late, grows into a toy making evil genius and haves her kidnapped, Paolo's students and her wannabe-fiancé go on a mission to save her.

Featuring racial stereotypes, tired 80's movie tropes, and legit bangers, we #SewerSibs had a lot to talk about. In this first part, we talk more about the movie, discuss the differences between the subbed and dubbed version, and give a little history lesson on Italian-Schools (specifically, the Italian dunce cap).

It stars Fairuza Balk (witch goddess) as Mildred, the 'worst witch'; Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell in GoT, Emma Peel in 'The Avengers', Ms. Collins in Last Night in Soho, a total smokeshow) as Miss Hardbroom; Charlotte Rae (Ms. Edna Garrett in 'Fact of Life') as Miss Cackle and Agatha; and Tim Curry (you know...Tim Curry) as the The Grand Wizard all the witches lust after.

Jane and Linda break down the film version of 'Into the Woods' and figure out where it went wrong. They share their love of the Queen of the Screen, Meryl Streep, and discuss the points where the film adaptation went well.

A beloved, humorous, and touching story; excellent and catchy music; a PHENOMENAL cast - how could it be so disappointing? What could they have done to fix it? Jane and Linda figure it out. Linda is barking tired; Jane tries to hold in her dislike of James Cordon...and fails.

It's a long episode, but they get to the bottom of the disaster.
