For this episode, we're covering the late international treasure, Julian Sands and reviewing 'Warlock' from 1989.

Linda apologizes to Lord Wandsworth College.

Our special guest, Donnie (from Cage's Kiss and Donnie's Reviews) shares that he could get behind Julian Sands, but we all know it would be the other way around.

Jane takes a stand against characters who harm animals in movies.

Linda shares some info on Julian Sands and too much information about her proclivities.

Jane and Linda return to 'The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,' covering Chapter 17: The Missionaries (Season 2, Episode 6).

Be prepared because a LOT happened in this episode. Lilith learns that she can't have nice things, Hilda proves to be a bad ass witch with a smile, the Weird Sisters torture Ambrose and learn not to mess with a missionary man, and the missionaries learn not to mess with the right hand of Satan.

T10thK, Ep 5: Off With Her Wig!

We're finally wrapping up on 'The 10th Kingdom'!

Jane talks about the amazing book version of 'The Princess Bride' (you can acquire a copy from a local bookshop at https://bookshop.org/shop/broomflicks), the cringiest scene, the real VIPs of the series, and wonders if the best lines (usually from the troll sibs) are ad-libbed. Linda talks about her appreciation of the series portraying mental illness is a non-magical way, super wolf-man sperm, and magical abortions!

Linda and Jane discuss multi-ethnic casting (and how community theater can be so white) and sensory overload.

Sorry, Linda didn't realize that she was recording with the her laptop's mic so it sounds like she called in.

T10thK, Ep 4: It's Not a Prediction, It's Murder

T10thK, Ep 4: It's Not a Prediction, It's Murder

We covered the penultimate episode of The 10th Kingdom! We're almost there!

In this episode, we discuss the mighty stealth skills of Rutger Hauer (The Huntsman), the moral ethics of kissing lessons, inappropriate dreams, diggy diggy'ing holes, the return of the troll sibs, the worst engagement ring ever (and the MVP of the episode - a fish), and a better (though darker) alternate ending to the series. Also, we discuss the plight of actresses who do not fit society's ideal mold and the wonderful Camryn Manheim!

Beauty & the Beast (1991): That's Too Many Eggs!

We honor the life of the wonderful Dame Angela Lansbury by covering the original, animated version of 'Beauty and the Beast.'

Of course, we diverge into a chat about how amazing 'The Righteous Gemstones' is before going into the original story behind the film and some interesting trivia (do you know who else auditioned for Beast?!)

For a more in-depth discussion about Dame Angela Lansbury, listen to our first episode 'Eggland's Best' where we cover 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks'...just please remember that it's our first episode and have mercy.

T10thK, Ep.3: God Save Queen

T10thK, Ep.3: God Save Queen

Linda and Jane discuss episode 3 of 'The 10th Kingdom,' wherein Wolf is on his monthly cycle and creates a creepy energy with the ladies; everyone's hoping the wishing well will be a gusher again; an ungrateful magic bird gets prissy; and  Virginia shows what an awful person she is by assassinating the memory of Queen, trying to convince Wolf that her and her dad literally leaving him to die would be an acceptable thing, and slut-shaming young shepherdesses (one which is a murder victim). Yeah this one was CRINGY.

T10thK, Ep2: Racial Slurs, Tramps, and Thieves

WARNING: The episode we cover uses a racist stereotype and slur with a band of trappers they call 'Gypsies'.

The girls continue their journey with the 2nd installment of 'The 10th Kingdom' wherein we learn about magical drugs, Tony fingers a fish, Prince becomes a literal good Golden boi, and things get hairy for Virginia. Stay gold!

The 10th Kingdom, Ep. 1

The 10th Kingdom, Ep. 1

Sorry for yet another hiatus - long story short: Linda lost her internet connect and is always so damn tired, Jane is still creating life, and Donnie is still missing after that scavenger hunt thing he was doing last month.

We're coming back with a gift - the gift that is DIANNE WIEST! We're covering the 2000 miniseries, 'The 10th Kingdom,' which also stars Kimberly Williams-Paisley (from the 1991 version of 'Father of the Bride'), John Larroquette (from the TV series 'Night Court' and 'The Librarians'), Ed O'Neill ('Married...With Children' and 'Modern Family'), and Scott Cohen (Max Medina from 'Gilmore Girls'!)

Wiest is (The Evil) QUEEN! Jane gushes over the beautiful opening, even though there is a did-not-age-well moment, she and Linda agree that Tony (Larroquette) is a bad dad, and they both recognize the MVPs who are Scott Cohen and the #TrollSibs (Dawnn Lewis, Jeremiah Birkett, and Hugh O'Gorman) - they are just giving these roles EV.ER.Y.THING THEY'VE GOT! Dig it

Throne of Glass Series: It's Time to End This

Throne of Glass Series: It's Time to End This

We're finally finishing our coverage of Sarah J Maas's 'Throne of Glass' book series! This is the final episode of 4 on the last book in the series, 'Kingdom of Ash.'

We discuss how difficult things have been for Aedion (though he was too harsh on Lysandra), our issue with being pandered to at the end, why Fleetfoot would probably be better off with Evangeline, Dorian's Starlording at the end, and how perfect Asterin's story turned out. Plus, we deserve bonus points for discussing the fate of The Thirteen without losing it.

...and Nesryn's there too.

Kingdom of Ash, Part 3/4: Triple-Knob-Cross

Kingdom of Ash, Part 3/4: Triple-Knob-Cross

This is part 3 of 4 for our review of "Kingdom of Ash," the last novel in Sarah J. Maas's book series "Throne of Glass."

We talk about Dorian infiltrating Morath and possibly getting freaky with a Valg queen (specifically Maeve), Elide delivering a very well-deserved punishment to Uncle Vernon, the need for more sexy details about how Elide and Lorcan break the castle, and an awesome cameo by characters from another awesome book series by Maas; Jane posits the question of whether or not Dorian, Maeve, and Erawan sustained brain damage between books; Linda starts creating sexy fan-fic (is it technically slash fic?); and everyone get's triple-crossed, but it's okay because Jane knows that Linda knows that Jane knows about it.

Please, share your thoughts with us on Twitter: @broomflicks

Kingdom of Ash Part 2: Never Go Full Chaol

Kingdom of Ash Part 2: Never Go Full Chaol

We're continuing with Part 2 of what will probably be a 4-part episode covering the final book in the 'Throne of Glass' series, 'Kingdom of Ash'. In this episode, we discuss Manon, Queen of the Witches; Dorian, who's just way too powerful; Lysandra, Aedion; and (briefly) the fierce, badass b, Kaltain.

I know we covered Lorcan in the previous episode, but we enjoyed creating a visual of a disastrous makeover for him. Jane wonders if anyone still identifies as Emo (let us know on Twitter @broomflicks) and finally reveals her child's name - it's pronounced 'GLAY-NUSS CROTCH-IN'. Linda discusses 'wild, savage, Pomeranian' sex - like the sex Manon and Dorian have.

If you have any Throne of Glass fanart, PLEASE share via email at Broomflicks@gmail.com or on Twitter.

CAoSabrina, S2E4: The Well-Hung Knob

Linda and Jane cover episode 4 of season 2, "Doctor Cerberus's House of Horror," which turned out to be more like "The Chilling Filler Episode of Sabrina."

Linda covers the magic of director Alex Garcia Lopez (seriously, check out 'Misfits' right after this), Jane questions the dubious lessons from the tarot readings, and they both put out a call to action for English majors.

Let us know on Twitter (@Broomflicks) if you spot any bunnies in the episode!

CAoSabrina, S2E3: Lupercalia Cherry Tagging

So...this episode was recorded mid-January, when Linda was scrambling to finish her degree program. Now, she's officially graduated and there will never be a problem again - she's creating a rainbow of knobs as proof of this promise. Also, she's working on not saying 'um' and 'like' as much. Sorry!

This episode was SOOOOO jam-packed, but we managed to keep recording under two-hours. Join us as we discuss the real history of Lupercalia, 'First'-tagging someone's virginity, the misfortunes of a man named 'Melvin', awesome sex-ed pop-up books, Linda's hatred of plus-sized clothes with animal print, Lilith's potential love connection, realistic high school dancing, and the AMAZING Salli Richardson-Whitfield (the director of this episode).

Meet us at the mossy stump.

CAoSabrina, S2E2: The Passion of the Knob

CAoSabrina, S2E2: The Passion of the Knob

Okay, so...Linda was so super-focused on her schoolwork that she forgot to send our editor, Donnie, her audio file for this episode and didn't even realize that it was missing. SO, call this one the lost episode. It was supposed to be released before the episode on 'The Legend of the Christmas Witch' in December. Please, just pretend it was, accept her apologies, and know that she has completed the program and can now focus on the podcast, again.

In this episode, we cover the second episode of the second season of 'The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,' The Passion of Sabrina Spellman. Linda shares how awesome Christina Ham (one of the writers) is and Jane sparks a discussion on how accurate the episode was in regards to high school acting (#SatanWasRight) and calls for an Emmy award for Abigail Cowen ('Dorcas').

If Satan brings beer to someone else's house, what brand/type do you think it would be? Let us know on Twitter! @Broomflicks

Christmas Witch Part 2: Don't Grab Her by the Waste

Christmas Witch Part 2: Don't Grab Her by the Waste

Thanks for returning for the conclusion of our coverage of 'The Legend of the Christmas Witch'!

In this episode, we discuss what makes the director, Michele Soavi, a filmmaking legend (hint: it's not what you're thinking...unless, you're thinking, 'Wait, didn't Soavi direct a lot of awesome horror movies?' In that case, it's exactly what you're thinking. Carry on.)

Jane emphasizes the importance of proper spelling in closed captioning, Linda calls for the 'Dino Bike' cut, and we both discuss what could have saved this movie. Also, we discuss the hidden storyline, wherein Jesse/Giuseppe has been training his whole (albeit short) life to determine the difference in smells of poisons and sedatives; building-up a resistance to the most common forms of poison; and learning to MacGyver himself out of danger.

Have a very merry Epiphany Eve!

The Legend of the Christmas Witch Part 1: Swanky Knob Music

The Legend of the Christmas Witch Part 1: Swanky Knob Music

We celebrated the holidays by watching Michele Soavi's "The Legend of the Christmas Witch" (aka "La Befana Vien di Notte") from 2018.

The movie is about La Befana, who Jane covered in 'Minisode 3: La Befana and Lil BUB', who spends her days as the school teacher, Paola. When a child whose present arrived late, grows into a toy making evil genius and haves her kidnapped, Paolo's students and her wannabe-fiancé go on a mission to save her.

Featuring racial stereotypes, tired 80's movie tropes, and legit bangers, we #SewerSibs had a lot to talk about. In this first part, we talk more about the movie, discuss the differences between the subbed and dubbed version, and give a little history lesson on Italian-Schools (specifically, the Italian dunce cap).

Check out part 2 for discussion on the legendary director, Michele Soavi.

The Worst Witch(1986): Tim Curry as The Grand Knob

The Worst Witch(1986): Tim Curry as The Grand Knob

We've been at the laughing potion again.

For her birthday, Linda gets another movie she's wished to cover since we started the podcast: The Worst Witch! It's the original film, made in 1986, based on Jill Murphy's 'Worst Witch' book series. It stars Fairuza Balk (witch goddess) as Mildred, the 'worst witch'; Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell in GoT, Emma Peel in 'The Avengers', Ms. Collins in Last Night in Soho, a total smokeshow) as Miss Hardbroom; Charlotte Rae (Ms. Edna Garrett in 'Fact of Life') as Miss Cackle and Agatha; and Tim Curry (you know...Tim Curry) as the The Grand Wizard all the witches lust after.

Listen in as we cover this childhood classic, share some behind-the-scenes information, and discuss Agatha's dubious upbringing!

Into the Woods (2014 film): AGGGOOONNNYYYY

Into the Woods (2014 film): AGGGOOONNNYYYY

Jane and Linda break down the film version of 'Into the Woods' and figure out where it went wrong. They share their love of the Queen of the Screen, Meryl Streep, and discuss the points where the film adaptation went well.

A beloved, humorous, and touching story; excellent and catchy music; a PHENOMENAL cast - how could it be so disappointing? What could they have done to fix it? Jane and Linda figure it out. Linda is barking tired; Jane tries to hold in her dislike of James Cordon...and fails.

It's a long episode, but they get to the bottom of the disaster.

American Playhouse Into the Woods (1991): Wolf Knob

American Playhouse Into the Woods (1991): Wolf Knob

We're back to discuss one of Jane's favorite things: a staged musical production. We're talking about 'American Playhouse: Into the Woods' which stars a goddess of stage and screen - Bernadette Peters as The Witch; the extremely delightful and talented Joanna Gleason; and Howard the Duck, himself - Chip Zien!

Jane fan girls over Soundheim, Linda somehow finds a way to link the story to Nicolas Cage, and they both discuss the agony of dwarves being very upsetting.

Romero's Season of the Witch (1972): Ballin in the Next Room

This week, the Sewer Sisters talk about Season of the Witch. No, not Halloween 3. Not the Nicolas Cage film, either. This is George A. Romero's 2nd movie and it's about just how badly it sucked to be a housewife and Greg's ball-buddy in the 70's. Oh, yeah! The Knob Goblins also learn how to determine their witch names??

Ass Blade Part 2: Sneaky Freaky in Sewers

Linda and Jane have a serious conversation about Caleana's relationship with Arobynn, pose questions about the relationship between Arobynn and Sam, and wonder how Arobynn came across raising Sam. Arobynn can eat sh*t.

Also, they give an important PSA: Don't get sneaky-freaky in sewers. Arobynn can eat sh*t.

They pose a question for the Book of Lies gals, give a shout-out to our #SewerBro4Life Chris Roberts, and a shout-out to the AMAZING Kelli Madden of Drunk Theory!

Teen Witch: WHITE Hot Rap Battle

Remember when people used to think that the best way to get kids interested in something was to get white people to rap? Yeah...that's happening. Linda's brother Donnie (her co-host from Videorama and Cage's Kiss) joins us to discuss one of those movies that tainted their childhood - Teen Witch. Join us so you can say you were there when Jane's desire to murder Linda first started!

We discuss singing and dancing in the high school locker rooms and the problems with public schools' sex ed programs; Linda creates a theory about what was actually happening in the movie; Donnie's murder-house habits come to light, and Jane TOPS THAT!

Also, Z and Daddy Blackwood turn the episode into 'Sabrina After Dark.' Linda finds Blackwood "wiggle-worthy" while Jane finds him so repulsive that her lady parts pack-up and leave town. That's how ruk ryders roll!); we talk about Sartaq being too much man to squeeze through tight spaces; Jane shares the proper (borderline-disturbing) way to pronounce a character's name; and we notice 2 big recurring themes in Maas's stories.

It stars Anne Hathaway (who is just giving it EVERYTHING), Octavia Spencer (who we spotlight as our 'Witch of the Week'), and Jahzir Bruno (who's going to take over the world of film sometime soon). Also, you get your fill of an awesome CGI cat, Chris Rock (who's recruiting an army of child assassins), and Stanley 'The Tooch' Tucci!

I'm very sorry for the delay in releasing this episode. Due to health issues, I (Linda) have been struggling to gather enough 'spoons' to get things done.
