Jo-Anne is a Professor of Accessible Design and Co-lead of The Public Toilets Research Unit at the Royal College of Art Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, as well as Co-Founder of Public Convenience Ltd that runs the Great British Public Toilet Map. Among other things, we speak to Jo-Anne about how important design and user experience is when it comes to considering the environmental impact of a product.

Today I have the distinct pleasure of being able to talk to Russell Smith, founder of Parity Projects and RetrofitWorks, and a man committed to bettering the UK’s housing stock in terms of its collective carbon emissions. Russell’s retrofitting journey started with his own terraced home in London, and since then he has become an authority who speaks and consults on the topic. Do enjoy the conversation.

Modular housing is fast becoming a powerful player in the New Build sector, both in terms of efficiency and its positive environmental impact. This episode Rosie Toogood, CEO of Legal and General Modular Housing, speaks to us about the work L&G are doing, and their reasons behind driving this method of building forward.
