Exploring Kink with Goddess Bria *Classic*

Exploring Kink with Goddess Bria *Classic*

Your favorite show is on a mid season break (we already miss you too). Today we're revisiting our conversation which served as our crash course into BDSM with our friend Goddess Bria.

We would try to explain what happens over the course of this conversation but you wouldn't believe us if we did, so just press play and if you have kids around you might want to put airpods in or be ready to explain what scat play is.

Music you hear at the top and bottom of the show is all by @unstoppablebuddha

Editing, Production, and Vibes by @hughzeau

As usual, BMAS FUBU IYKYK

Keenan Scott II, talks Art, Family, and Set Backs

On our mid season finale we sit down for an extended conversation, with friend of the show, Keenan Scott II, who is a playwright, poet, actor, director, and producer of original work from Queens, New York. We discuss how he went from being a shy kid unable to remember his words at a DC open mic to now being one of seven Black playwrights leading the reopening of Broadway this fall (yeah, that Broadway).

This episode is for anyone that has experienced failure, rejection and set backs of any kind; Keenan shows that when doors don't open for you, it might just be time to build a new house (in the middle of NYC). A moment that has now been over 10 years in the making ‘Thoughts of a Colored Man’ makes its debut at the Golden Theater this Friday, Oct 1st. Under normal circumstances Buddha and the Beard would be scalping tickets out front but since this is the homie, you can grab your tickets here https://thoughtsofacoloredman.com/

We finally have an episode this season we can share with our moms, but if you need content for your inner Hugh (and pre pandemic Buddha) feel free to catch up with our recent Back-burner episode. As usual each and every episode of BMAS is FUBU, IYKYK.

Backburner Relationships

Backburner Relationships

Apparently 50% of people in relationships have one person they're keeping warm in case their relationship ends. Think about it, that means either you or your significant other has your potential replacement on standby. Let us all join in our newfound ain't shit-ness and process by letting us break down back burner relationships for you.

Breadcrumbing? Im Sorry You Feel That Way.

Breadcrumbing? Im Sorry You Feel That Way.

On what is possibly one of our most 'Aint Shit' episodes of BMAS(?!) in a while we discuss the topic of breadcrumbing, Buddha's younger self's social ladder theory, we absolutely butchered pronouns (sigh, bear with us) and finally we ask the question ' WHAT THE FU*K is wrong with Hugh?' (still, no answers).

Thank you for the listener conversation that inspired this episode. If you or a loved one has suffered at the hands of 'aint shit-ness' feel free to slide in our DMs on IG @buddhaandthebeard and maybe we'll break it down in a future episode.

Last but not least, credits...

Music played at the top and bottom of every show is by BMAS host, Unstoppable Buddha.

Produced and Edited by Hugh Zeau (FUBU IYKYK)

Also produced with support from Google's Podcast Creators Program and PRX

And finally S/O to the producers that allowed us to use their music for this episode

Serial Stroker

Serial Stroker

Did you know that roughly 500 to 1,000 Americans die yearly due to masturbation related incidents? Neither did I until I googled it, so that number might not be completely accurate, but I digress.

In this weeks mini episode we discuss a person that suffered a near death experience at the hands of their own hands...(i'm sorry I had to do it).

Make sure you like, follow and subscribe wherever you listen.

The Pursuit: C.R.E.A.M?

In today's episode we talk about pursuiting dreams (i know, we'll dive back into aint shit-ness next week) . No, we don't have all the answers but this isn't about that. We do discuss the ways happiness, depression, anxiety, acceptance and more have been involved in our own individual journeys. Follow us @buddhaandthebeard on IG

Why do some men settle down? We kind of address that today, as well as why farting in front of your significant other should be considered a relationship milestone.

The Unicorn Lifestyle

A unicorn, is a single woman in the swinger lifestyle, Buddha & The Beard had the opportunity to sit down with one to discuss all things swing (SLS), sprinkled in some kink, and some tips for how to conduct yourself at a play party.  Spoiler Alert: It's not ok to just whip it out here either.  Special shoutout to our guest Pretty Mau, Experience Creator and Lifestyle Promoter extraordinaire

True Life: I Pay (My Wife) For Sex

Between work, babies, and the stress of everyday life it seems to be almost natural for the sex life of a married couple to pay the price. Ironically, that's exactly what our next guest decided to do.

Fragile Egos and Rejection

Buddha and the Beard discuss fragile egos (no, not Tory) and rejection from both the perspective of the receiver and giver--the  truth is that it can hurt from either side (but clearly much more from the former rather than the latter).

Unexpected Loss- A Father's Experience

Unexpected Loss- A Father's Experience

Trigger warning, this weeks episode explores the unexpected loss of children during pregnancy. We understand this subject may be sensitive for many of our listeners so we wanted to provide you with this warning before you listen.

This week our guest Will White, recounts the experience of losing two children during pregnancy within a year of each other. We explore some of the situations surrounding the loss, the many ways in which grief can take form, and all the feelings surrounding these moments you seldom hear about.  We would like to  send our love to Walker White and Dillan White, as well as the whole White family for the strength they have displayed and the hope they give us.

BDSM, Kink and the Domme Lifestyle

BDSM, Kink and the Domme Lifestyle

An episode that started as an introduction into the world of BDSM and Kink helped us realized there is no way it could all be captured in one conversation, but we still tried though. Join us as we discuss BDSM and Kink through the eyes of a  professional dominatrix and kink educator.

From Fin-Domme to Pro-Domme, SPH to scat play (if you don't know what it is, you will today) we learned there isn't a kink too big or too small, unless of course, you're into SPH. On the outside this may all look easy, but it is an art form that can not survive without consent, commitment, and authenticity.

Whether you're looking to learn more about becoming a dominatrix or maybe the sub life is the life for you, we discuss the many ways you can get connected. Special thanks to the Goddess and the Black Domme Sorority.

Polyamory 101

Polyamory 101

While your hosts have been in multiple relationships at any given time, we can't say it was always (ever) something every participating party was aware of (we own the ain't shit-ness of that statement). Apparently 'you aint gotta lie to kick it' is real. Join us as we explore more about Polyamory from friend to the show and author of the research paper "Open to Love: Polyamory and The "Black American", Chris Smith.

If you want to hear more about polyamory (aka Ethical Ho-ing), being black and poly, threesomes/foursomes/moresomes, and a portion of the show dedicated specifically to ignorant questions make sure you don't miss this weeks episode!

If you're interested in some additional resources on how to learn more about polyamory feel free to visit our Instagram page @buddhaandthebeard for all of that information.

Side Piece & Jealousy

Its our season finale!

As entanglements start to surface left and right we created a quick how to guide for how to manage the Aug (side) in your life. Since jealousy tends to surface at some point in these situations we discuss that as well.

We're taking a few weeks off but we have a special event coming 8/16/20, make sure you follow @buddhaandthebeard for details!

One Minute Man (N.O.A)

One Minute Man (N.O.A)

Men, we've all been here, Women (partners) by default, you've been there too. You started with the best of intentions, but somehow it happens before you know it. Some call it involuntary, some premature, whatever you want to call it,  it's embarrassing, so of course we're bringing ourselves to the red table this week.

Body Counts, Honesty, & OnlyFans

Bonus-24 Min Escape

Bonus-24 Min Escape

This past week was an emotional shart and we didn't want to proceed with business as usual because nothing is as usual now. However, when emotions are running high, self-care becomes all the more necessary and while we ourselves aren't at 100%, we wanted to get together to give you a bit of an escape (before we all get back out there).

This week we cover: P Diddy, saggy titties, pocket full of dough (in no particular order, and if you didn't rap that we shouldn't be friends, if you just went back to rap that, we're back on track)

Sex with your ex seems taboo, but in reality just about everyone does it. Is it healthy? Destructive? Worth it? Or, just like alcohol, should it be enjoyed responsibly. We dig into the good and the bad from our perspective.

DM Etiquette: (D)ating fro(M) home

With 6 Ft being the closest we can get to people and masks being mandated just about everywhere you go, meeting someone in that place we're no longer allowed (outside) is harder than ever. However, the time honored tradition of sliding in DM's is still here to bridge the gap that exist between you and your future (insert various types of relationships here). In today's show we explore a few DM horror stories and figure out some of the do's and don'ts, to get you a step closer to your future boo/ex/partner/spouse. Don't let yourself become the next screenshot in a group chat.
This weeks' special guests are Candice Iloh (author of upcoming YA novel in verse 'EVERY BODY LOOKING, coming Sept 22), Q Morman, and B. Santee.

Breakups- It's Not Me, It's Us

We're once again using our 'ain't shit' powers for good and addressing how much breakups suck (as if you didn't already know), how we addressed those periods in our lives (spoiler alert: not the best), and how we learned to move on with our lives (eventually).

Ghosting

Ghosting, the two of us have done it, A LOT, and had it done to us (karma, I guess). It sucks to be the person that is excited by the potential of a person they met only for them to disappear without an explanation. The lack of closure tends to bother anyone and it's not always your fault, but sometimes, it is. In this episode we're going to explore so reasons why for those that never got closure from us.

/gostiNG/ (n): the practice of ending a personal relationships with someone by suddenly and without explanation withdrawing from all communication

Buddha and The Beard Trailer

The podcast you never asked for, brought to you by the guys you don't even know. Listen as Johnnie Buddha IV and Hugh Zeau explore the painfully honest parts of dating and why guys (mainly themselves) do the things they do. Listen, laugh, judge us openly, but whatever you do, save yourself from future hurt and just take our advice. Ghosting, breakups, one night stands and FWB's, all with some very uncomfortable guests, the worst is yet to come on, Buddha and The Beard.
