Beer Review: Founders Brewing Co. - Centennial IPA
Founders Brewing Co. - Centennial IPA ABV: 7.2% IBU: 65 CAL: 220 Beer Facts: The brewery is headquartered in Grand Rapids Michigan. This IPA style beer is best paired with curried dishes and Thai cuisine featuring shellfish. Cheeses can be peppery such as Monterey / Pepper Jack, pungent such as Gorgonzola and Limburger or sharp such as Cheddar. This beer won the 2016 Los Angeles International Beer Awards Silver Medal. The beer can be found on daft, in 12oz 6 pack bottles and cans, and in a 19.2 oz single can. In 2001, the Brewmesters friend had a birthday party and needed to buy a keg for his party. He was able to get it half price since he knew the Brew Master at Founders but declined and went with their competitor and paid full price. Beer Review: Sam Adams - Sam '76
Sam '76 - ABV: 4.7% IBU: 12 CAL: 128 Beer Facts: Sam 76 was created in their experimental nano brewery in Boston, it took more than a year of testing and 60 different iterations for them to create this beer. Sam '76 unites the two different beer styles. It has the flavor and character of an ale with the clean, crisp finish of a lager. 1776 marks the year our founding fathers, including Samuel Adams sparked the American Revolution. Sam 76 was introduced in 2018 and it’s considered the most refreshing beer that Samuel Adams offers. Beer Review: Bell’s Two Hearted Ale - American IPA
Bell’s Two Hearted Ale - American IPA - ABV: 7% IBU: 60 CAL: 128 Beer Facts: The first Bell's beer was brewed with a 15-gallon soup pot. Larry Bell sold his first commercial beer in 1985. Bells Two Hearted Ale is named after the majestic two hearted river in Michigan's upper peninsula. In 1992 a 15-Barrel system was installed: A long way from the original soup kettle, a larger brew system is installed. They still brew on this system to this day. In 2010 Larry Bell wins brewers association recognition award. The Brewers Association Recognition Award is presented each year to an individual or company whose inspiration, enthusiasm, and support have contributed to the craft brewing movement. Available consumer package purchases are in a 6 pack and 12 pack in cans or bottles, a 16 oz can, on draft, and my favorite, a 19 oz can.
