“7 habits of Highly Effective people” ! 1st Habit --> “BE-PROACTIVE”.

“7 habits of Highly Effective people” ! 1st Habit --> “BE-PROACTIVE”.

Hello Friends,

Keeping in mind everybody time, we have started our podcast audio book series.

The benefit of our Podcast series is that you can listen it any time during driving, walking, cooking & even at your leisure time.

Almighty has created human being like a plain blank paper. Human being has to put in struggle to write on this blank paper.

This writing leads to human evolution.

Human evolution takes shape based on knowledge learnt (what to do and why), skill acquired (how to do) and spirit of motivation developed (want to do).

And it can only by change by our Habits.

Today I will present you the 2nd Part of, “7 habits of Highly Effective people”.

So Let’s Start,

Self-awareness and ability to think about the thought process is only activated in humans, Animals do not possess this ability.

This is the reason, why man has dominion over all things in the world.

Our behavior is a function of our decisions, not our conditions.

If we dissect responsibility it will be “response --- ability “, it means ability to choose your response.

So here we go with the 1st habit from “7 habits of Highly Effective people” that is “BE-PROACTIVE”.

Highly proactive people recognize and understand responsibility.

They do not blame circumstances, conditions, or conditioning for their behavior.

Their behavior is a product of their own conscious choice and it is based on values.

As Eleanor Roosevelt told that, “No one can hurt you without your consent.”

Our basic nature is to act, and not to be acted upon.

Proactivity is part of human nature, and, we can say in some human being the proactive muscles may be dormant, but they are there.

Let me explain you how reactive people & Proactive people behave: -

Reactive People, focus their efforts in the Circle of Concern. They focus on the weakness of other people, the problems in the environment, and circumstances over which they have no control. Their negative energy causes their Circle of Influence to shrink.

On the other Hand, Proactive people focus their efforts in the circle of influence. They work on the things they can do something about. The nature of their energy is positive, enlarging and magnifying, causing their Circle of Influence to increase.

The problems we face fall in one of three areas: direct control (problems involving our own behavior); indirect control (problems involving other people's behavior); or no control (problems we can do nothing about, such as our past or situational realities).

But as long as we are working in our Circle of Concern, we empower the things within it to control us. We aren't taking the proactive initiative necessary to effect positive change.

There are some people who interpret "proactive" to mean pushy, aggressive, or insensitive; but that isn't the case at all. Proactive people aren't pushy. They're smart, they're value driven, they read reality, and they know what's needed.

What is Paradigm & Paradigm Shift

What is Paradigm & Paradigm Shift

  Hello Friends

Today I will give you the inside story of “THE SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE” by Stephen R. Covey.

In this book Stephen’s has elaborated, what is Paradigm and how can a paradigm shift will change our perspective, so please listen up till end.

Paradigm coined from Greek word, it’s the way we see the world. Not in terms of our visual sense, but in terms of perception, assumption & understanding.

Let me explain you through example: -

Suppose we want to go to some specific location in Central Chicago. Street map of the city would be great helpful to us to reach the destination.

But suppose we got the wrong map, due to printing error and on the label, instead of Chicago it was printed Detroit. Can we imagine the frustration, the ineffectiveness of trying to reach the destination?

In today’s world everybody has many maps in their head, and basically it is divided into two main Categories: -

1. Maps of the way things are, as we see in reality. And

2. Maps of the way things should be.

So we must take the responsibility and must aware of our basic Paradigms, test them against reality, listen to others and be open to their perceptions, there by getting a larger picture and a far more objective view.

Great Egyptian Astronomer named Ptolemy said that the earth was the center of the Universe.

But Copernicus created a Paradigm shift by placing the Sun in the center, after his discovery everything took on a different interpretation.

Similarly, in every century we got various paradigm shift like, Newtonian model of physics, which is still the basis of modern engineering.

Einstein paradigm through relativity.

The United States today is the fruit of a Paradigm Shift. Traditional concept for centuries of Monarchy by Divine right of Kings.

Then a different paradigm was developed -government of the people, by the people, and for the people, in which people has the right to select the government.

And we can say it was the beginning of Democracy.

Thanks For Reading
