The health of the Great Salt Lake
This year the Utah Legislature deliberated a number of bills that impact the health of the Great Salt Lake. Two years ago the Salt Lake was at its lowest level in recorded history. Although the past two years have had above average precipitation, the lake is still in a fragile state.

Nick Kondo, Spider-Verse animator
Nick Kondo is an alumnus from Judge Memorial Catholic High School and is known for his work in the animation industry. He has worked on several of Sony's films including both Spider-Verse films and The Mitchells vs. The Machines. He currently holds the position of animation director at Supercell.
Today we take a look at Nick Kondo's path into the animation industry, from his early interests in dinosaurs, to working at Nintendo after college, and eventually animating at Sony. Nick Kondo offers his wisdom, insight, and much more.

On JM's shoe and uniform policy
Recently, there has been a conflict between students and faculty over specific shoes, such as the Birkenstock and North Face “slippers," and if they should be allowed to be worn as a part of the uniform.
This podcast contains interviews with both students and teachers to compare and contrast their points of view. The students believe that the specific shoes meet requirements that are expected of other shoes. The administration believes that the shoes present safety issues, display economic status and create a disparity, and connote a sense of lounging. Rules against these shoes have not been put into the handbook yet, but they are enforced by teachers and students will be punished for wearing them.
Called Game - Pre-region chatter
George Frech, Evan Chisolm, and Oliver Laughlin team up on “Called Game” to break down and discuss the Judge boys basketball season and future. First, we introduce some of the key players and changes of this season. Including what players were lost over the offseason, what players were gained, and coaching staff changes.
After introducing the team, we talked about how the pre-season went for Judge, and their recent rival match against Juan Diego. The game was a nail-biter, and although Judge lost showcased a lot of the team’s strengths. With a strong game against Juan Diego, Judge is looking strong heading into their regular season games, and we go over our expectations, thoughts, and hopes for their regular season performance.
NBA All-Star game comes to Utah
For the first time since 1993, NBA All-Star weekend will be coming to Utah. After a few changes to some events that have recently been announced, we’ll be covering everything that you need to know about this upcoming weekend. It will take place February 17-19, and many celebrities will be coming to Salt Lake City. Some news regarding who will be playing in some of the events has been announced, but we’re yet to know about all the lineups and players who will be participating. In this podcast we give our insights as to who it is we think and hope will be playing, as well as some familiar faces from the Utah Jazz who we can expect to see participate.
