Nabil Abdel Fattah
Nabil Abdel Fattah is the former director of Al-Ahram Center for Social and Historical Studies. He was awarded the Religious Freedom Award by Freedom House. Abdel Fattah is a former lawyer who obtained his masters degree in political studies from the Sorbonne University in Paris. He has multiple books and publications on topics such as armed and radical Islamist groups, status of religious minorities in the Arab World, and many others. Aya Hijazi
. آية حجازي مصرية وتحمل الجنسية الأمريكية. وقد حصلت على بكالوريوس تحليل وحل النزاعات من جامعة جورج ماسون الأمريكية، وليسانس حقوق من جامعة القاهرة تم القبض عليها فى مصر عام 2014 ثم تم الإفراج عنها بعد فترة ثلاث سنوات من الحبس الإحتياطى. وهىتعيش الآن بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية Together with her husband Aya Hijazi founded the Belady Foundation, an NGO that supports street children and currently supports child political prisoners in Egypt. Hijazi, her husband and five other Belady members were imprisoned in Cairo from 2014 until 2017. This episode is in Arabic.

Mohamed Soltan
Mohamed Soltan is an an Egyptian/American human rights activist, who was a political prisoner in Egypt from August 2013 to May 2015. Soltan was sentenced to life in prison after protesting Sisi’s takeover of power. He currently lives in the United States. Ganzeer [English version]
Interview with award-winning graphic artist Ganzeer, known both in Egypt and internationally for his street art, following the 2011 Revolution. His artwork deals with themes such as civic responsibility and social justice. He has been critical of the subsequent ruling regimes since 2011 until today and currently lives in self-exile in the US. With over 40 exhibitions to his name, Ganzeer’s work has been seen in a wide variety of art galleries, impromptu spaces, alleyways, and major museums around the world, such as The Brooklyn Museum in New York and others. Mohamed Ali
Mohamed Ali is an Egyptian actor and contractor who left Egypt in 2018. He was the producer and actor of several Egyptian films and shows, and worked as a contractor for the Egyptian army, building mansions and villas for and in the military's name. He fled Egypt to Spain and issued a series of public videos, condemning the Egyptian regime and accusing them of corruption. The episode is in Arabic. . ضيف الحلقة هو المقاول والفنان الأستاذ محمد على والذى ترك مصر عام 2018. قام بتمثيل وانتاج اكثر من مسلسل و فيلم  منها البر الثانى كان محمد على يعمل فى اعمال المقاولات للحيش المصرى ومنها بناء فيللات وقصور قبل ان يسافر خارج البلاد ويصدر بيانات فى شكل سلسلة من الفيديوهات تفضح حجم ما اسماه الفساد فى هذا المجال.

Essam Heggy
Dr. Essam Heggy is an Egyptian space scientist working at NASA, and a professor at both the Paris-Sorbonne University and the University of Southern California (USC). He briefly served as the Egyptian president's advisor for scientific affairs from 2013 until his resignation in 2014. Hisham Kassem
Hisham Kassem is the founding president and publisher of the formerly privately-owned Al Masry Al Youm newspaper, and was the founder of Cairo Times newspaper, published out of Cyprus. He is a human rights defender and democracy activist, and was the head of the Egyptian Human Rights Organization in Cairo for approximately 10 years. Kassem was also the vice president of Al Ghad Party and is the recipient of the prestigious National Endowment for Democracy award for championing press freedom. In this podcast, Kassem discusses the state of media and the press in Egypt.  He currently lives in Egypt. Sherif Osman

Amr Waked
Amr Waked is an award-winning  Egyptian film, television, and stage actor. He is best known to international audiences and in Hollywood for his role in the 2005 film Syriana. He also plays the role of Ramy’s father in the series Ramy which airs on Hulu. As a regime critic, he was subjected to several defamation campaigns. He is currently residing in self-exile in Spain.

Kal Abol Naga
Award winning actor, producer and Egyptian dissident Kal Abol Naga is my guest on this first episode of our podcast.  Naga discusses why and how he left Egypt, the defamation and smear campaigns orchestrated against him by the regime, the status of gender, as well as where he sees Egypt going in the future.  Naga is well known for his social and human rights advocacy and has been one of the early outspoken icons from Egypt promoting social justice, freedom and democratic change to the Arab world in general and Egypt in specific, He played a pivotal role in supporting the Egyptian Revolution Jan 25th 2011. he has a very admirable record of social & human rights (especially child rights) work. He was appointed as a UNICEF UN Goodwill Ambassador in Egypt 2007 till 2015. More about Kal on his website.
