Ever come across a Professional Organizer and wonder what they actually do? I am here to tell you!   I am often at networking events or in conversations where the question goes around asking "And what is it that you do?" A small percentage of the population will hear "Professional Organizer" and know what that entails.

Due to the nature of the work a Professional Organizer performs, it is often viewed as a luxury service (tip: it's not! It is very helpful and often necessary for everyone) so many people in the room aren't entirely sure what a Professional Organizer will actually do.

The title Professional Organizer can be, well... confusing and unclear. As a client, the aim of a PO is to simplify life but the title is already a turnoff. So what does it actually mean? I'm sharing what it means and all the other names a P.O. can be called! See, simple

Was this the final topic you thought I'd be sharing for this week's National Clutter Awareness Week? It's a pretty unique topic to be discussing. This isn't your average pantry organizing session. Today I am diving into some of the interesting ideas around food decluttering itself.

Here is how I break down how to get paperwork under control.

I don't usually go by one specific teacher's model unless a client specifically asks for it or if I know some of the strategies will work. However, Marie's method for decluttering paper is exactly the type of process that works. She is ruthless in the papers that actually need to be kept and sets clear boundaries.

Yeah, that's the one we are tackling today. I know, it's a big one!  

I am sure if you have found your way to this, you know you need to declutter your schedule but let's say that you have just been following along with the series this week and want to see what a decluttered schedule looks like.

We are decluttering books! One of the harder and easily overlooked areas. I break it all down for you. 

Just remember that all the decluttering is going to give you a few things:

1. Freedom
2. Less weight you carry around (literally!)
3. Clarity

Decluttering the books will bring new opportunities into your life to enjoy new topics, new books, new authors, and new ideas. The only way up is to release the things of the past!

If you graduate from school and think you are done learning, you will surely perish. I am not just launching my courses because I fully believe people need the content I am teaching. I am also launching because I have taken so many courses to get myself prepared for this. One such course is by Amanda Frances. Her course really takes you on the journey of your business but not from a data and calculation aspect. This is through a philosophical lens.    This course is full of things that have sent my business to the next level. I thought it would be interesting to share with everyone just really how I view Spaces Organized & Styled. The goals, purpose, mission, passion, and really the reason WHY that drives S.O.S. It dawned on me that I've never shared my why. I've never shared what S.O.S. is really all about and why it is such an important entity to have in your corner in life.   What you have to keep in mind is that S.O.S. changes lives. It helps to change not only the way we see things visually, but it changes how lives are lived out day-to-day. It changes the way we structure our day and the way we move through our connections in life. SOS has been a way to provide, to so many, a sense of peace.
