Janet Kwantes Baker was ordained in 2014. She has served in several churches including Bridgewater Baptist and Greenfield United Baptist Church. Janet talks about leading an active rural youth ministry and how it’s possible for spouses to pastor in two separate congregations.

Marion Aretha Borden-Davis
Marion Aretha Borden-Davis was granted a license to preach in 1987 and graduated from Acadia Divinity College in 1992. She went on to work with the Department of Education and later as an educator in Detroit. Marion shares the challenges she faced in pursuing ordination, including racism, and how God has enabled her to serve no matter where she’s placed.

Shirley McNally and her husband Hugh were Canadian Baptist missionaries to India. She describes some of the work they did and changes that have taken place in the Baptist world over the years. One interesting anecdote is Hugh's experience witnessing the ordination of Josephine Moore, who was the first woman ordained by the CBAC to pastoral ministry in 1954.

Maxine Ashley
Maxine Ashley graduated with her MDiv in 1970 and was later ordained in 1989. She has worked at three theological schools, including Acadia Divinity College, and continues to minister as part of a team of four retired pastors. Maxine shares about her frustration graduating seminary to find that positions for women were not widely available, but why she did later choose to pursue ordination.

Barbara Fuller

Miriam Uhrstrom

Joyce Hancock
Joyce Hancock was ordained in 1987. She served as director of Christian Education at First Baptist Dartmouth as well as a missionary overseas in Indonesia and Brazil. Today she works with NorthWind Family Ministries in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
