Ravel's String Quartet in F Major

Ravel's String Quartet in F Major

Written in 1903 when Ravel was 28 years old, the composer dedicated his string quartet to his teacher, Gabriel Fauré, who initially rejected the work, new music that broke established rules of harmony and form, drawing on jazz and Asian Gamelan influences.
