In this episode I spoke with Abigail, who graduated in 2019. We begin by talking about why she chose EURUS and what she did during her degree, including going on the European Union study tour and doing a traineeship in the EU. We then talked about her career journey through the Federal Government. Abigail shares her experiences in the civil service, the lessons she learned, and advice as someone who worked in several different departments and positions.

In this episode I spoke with Laura, who is a second year student in the Russia-Eurasia stream. After talking a bit about her studies before and during EURUS, we jumped into her recent research trip to Georgia. We discussed the type of research she conducted, what information she collected and how it helped her thesis, what she liked about her trip to Georgia, her impressions of the country and the people, and more.

In this episode I spoke with Luke, who graduated in 2008. We do a deep into his time working and living in Afghanistan. Luke tells fascinating stories and candidly shares with me what he about learned about the country and the Afghan people. We talk about how he got there, what work he did in country, his experience dealing with western governments, what it was like living in Afghanistan during the war, and much more.
