Sophisticated portraits, elegantly attractive but full of sincerity, thanks to his gift in capturing absolute beauty in every gaze, be it an expression, a smile, or an ironic gesture.

The museum will be at the center of a “campus-like” African hub with a massive Dome for major international events, a 1000-seater 24/7 operational theater, a film studio, shopping mall, accommodation facilities, a herbal farm of over 10,000 African herbs, a technology hub and many more. PAHM will capture the history of Africa from the pre-slave trade era all the way to the contemporary era, including the achievements of Africans both at home and in the Diaspora. It has already received some very valuable donations, including over 150,000 pieces of pictures and relics from one of the world’s most travelled individuals. The physical opening (a virtual launch was made on 05/05/2022) should be happening in August 2023.

Mr Alamazani will give us some interesting insights into the realities of selling an African project to the corporate world, to benefactors and to the medias.

Art Talk - I am & Nothing Else

Art Talk - I am & Nothing Else

Good morning and good afternoon wherever you are in the Art World!

“I Am & Nothing Else” Art Talk shared poetic glimpses about community, healing, identity, wholeness and femininity and what it takes to exist in today’s world as an African woman while paying homage to past generations!

We are delighted to welcome Olugbemiro ARINOSO, director of Affinity Gallery together with Nana Anderson and gallery curator Moni Aisida in #LagosNigeria. They will guide us through the wonderful artistic journey of five visionary female artists from Nigeria and South Africa: Donna Duke , Nene Mahlangu , Roanna Tella,  Buqaqawuli Nobakada , and Tomilola Olumide.

This exhibition draws inspiration from the book “Women who Run with the Wolves: Myths and stories of the Wild Woman Archetype'' by psychoanalyst, author, and poet #ClarissaPinkolaEstes. The works in the exhibition engages with themes of healing, identity, community, wholeness, femininity, and what it takes to exist in today’s world as an African woman while paying homage to past generations. Through the medium of materials such as lace, fabric, gold leaf, and embroidery, the works lend texture and nuance which reveals that African women can simultaneously embody softness, fortitude, delicacy, and resiliency. The artists draw connections across time and space to the emergence of the African woman as a wholesome being…

A touching and vivid art dialogue arose through our talk ; here some inspiring comments :

“The change needs to come from both sides. I believe it is important for young boys to be taught that the commonly depicted feminine roles women occupy isn’t limited to women, but they can also occupy that space…”

“I want to ask Tomilola and the other ladies if the experiences that inspired your work are rooted in the past and current generations. In other words will the negative depiction, degradation and misogyny felt by young women likely change with attitudes of your male peers?”  “…it speaks of the double standard towards ageing and the different genders. Something we see but don’t acknowledge…”

Art Talk with Galloire Gallery and artist Paco Pomet

Art Talk with Galloire Gallery and artist Paco Pomet

Good afternoon and good morning wherever you are in the Art world!

The Art talk are delighted to welcome Edward Gallagher founder of the leading gallery Galloire in #Dubai and Spanish artist Paco Pomet who will guide us through their current group exhibition “Signals”: “Exploring the impact of our rapidly changing modern world through an historical and nostalgic lens…By the time we reach adulthood, are our decisions and our thinking even our own or are the synapses and signals firing inside our minds wholly conditioned?”

GALLOIRE: "The gallery collaborates with leading contemporary artists from around the world who, regardless of medium, push boundaries of culture, thought and explore our digitally-dominant society. With eclectic range, we exhibit artists whose roots stem from urban art to classically-trained painting, from the world viewed through the lens to the data that surrounds us. The gallery is also characterised by a strong interest in how visual arts work in conjunction with other forms such as poetry, philosophy and science."

SIGNALS: See the installation and show summary online at https://lnkd.in/e36i3-JZShort show description: Galloire presents a group of celebrated international artists, from different continents and from different generations, but who are impacted by the same modern world of branding, commerciality and mass media. From our earliest moments of childhood to our dying day, we are bombarded by corporations which try to grab our attention, characters which vie for our affection and voices all around which tell us how we should live our lives…

“The figurative paintings of the Spanish artist Paco Pomet (b. 1970) transform mostly anonymous graphic sources into examinations of history, memory, and the absurd. Elements of subversion, at times subtle, then flagrant, imbue his compositions – usually monochromatic landscapes and portraits – leaving the viewer both intrigued by their accuracy and technical mastery, yet puzzled by their iconology.

Paco Pomet : A native of Granada, Pomet is a mid-career artist with an international reach, a prolific artistic output, and one who is commanding increasing scholarly attention for his already impressive oeuvre. Charged with denotative and connotative meaning, his work pleases the eye while provoking the mind, making sometimes surprising statements. As the artist, he is the first cause, the one who transforms his concerns into an image, allowing the viewer to deductively and inductively translate that effect.

Pomet’s work is embedded in the contemporary visual culture of intensive production of images yet also goes against the current, vindicating the use of the imagination to challenge the commonly obsolete perception of reality. In his paintings, the artist distorts the meaning of the image he reproduces through different ways: by integrating an element – often humorous – that is out of context within the subject that is depicted; by deforming characteristics or physical extremities of the beings he portrays; by playing with scale; or by using bright, almost unreal, colors. The result is a hilarious if not shocking or mysterious composition that invites the viewer to search for meaning, a playful proposition that reflects Pomet’s ultimate interest in “nourishing an active naiveté for looking at everything anew,” far from conventions…

Art Talk Live with Artist James Gilbert and Galerist Erin Cluley

Art Talk Live with Artist James Gilbert and Galerist Erin Cluley

“I Don’t Know, You Don’t Know, They Don’t Know”

Good morning and good afternoon wherever you are in the art world! The Art Talk is delighted to welcome you all on another inspiring Art Talk  with Artist James Gilbert and Gallerist Erin Cluley.

“I believe in making work that unveils our human condition and also gestures toward the effort to understand cultural history and memory of being, time and place. For in this moment, I want to remain optimistic as sometimes you find yourself in a strange place and other times in a strange place you find yourself.” James Gilbert.

Gilbert’s installations tackle contemporary political, social and cultural issues: “the destruction of significant cultural architecture, the relationship between objects, environments and community, houselessness, workers’ rights, criminal justice and capital punishment, the exchange of private information via social media and fear levied on the general public…How can we reconcile a dangerously forgetful history?”

For his solo exhibition, I Don’t Know, You Don’t Know, They Don’t Know, James Gilbert explores themes of cultural heritage and genetic lineage—all with cutting wit. His bold figures show the talent of an artist fully confident in his abilities. Incorporating drawing and sculpture, Gilbert’s new work acknowledges the messy nature of community, not helped by the equally messy political and social climate of the past few years.

About Erin Cluley Gallery Erin Cluley Gallery is a contemporary art gallery representing emerging, mid-career, and established artists from Dallas and the United States. The gallery presents a provocative program of artists working in both traditional and alternative forms including painting, sculpture, new media, photography, sculptural installation and public intervention.

Ps: A big thank you to Sara Adami-Johnson Esq, Ph.D, TEP, LL.M, JD, CFP® for making this possible!

Art Talk “The Future of Art Investment: Expertise, Tokenization, Fractionalization”

Art Talk “The Future of Art Investment: Expertise, Tokenization, Fractionalization”

The Art Talk is delighted to welcome you all on another extraordinary Art Talk with Elizabeth von Habsburg, Founder and Managing Director of Winston Art Group, and Nanne Dekking Founder and CEO of Artory, who will guide us through the joint venture between their two companies: Artory/Winston. In September, Artory/Winston launched its first tokenized art fund on Securitize. Combining Artory’s industry-leading art registry technology with Winston Art Group’s deep market expertise, the Artory/Winston Art Fund is a diversified portfolio of approximately 65 investment-grade artworks from a range of artists and categories, allowing investors to access the potential advantages and returns of the fine art market.

Winston Art Group leads the sourcing and diligence on every artwork considered and purchased for the fund. Artory’s technology is used to capture the artworks’ due diligence data on the blockchain, providing investors with the confidence of investing in artworks with immutable records, verified provenance, and digital certification. Plus, investors on Securitize can trade their tokenized shares on a regulated secondary marketplace, which presents unique potential for investors to achieve liquidity and realize gains on a traditionally illiquid asset class.

To make this happen, Artory/Winston has selected established and trusted partners: independent appraisers, regulated trading marketplaces, and professional auditors. Unlike others in this market, the fund has a regulated and independently administered master fund, providing the quality infrastructure and market knowledge needed to create this robust, tokenized art fund.

In this talk, Elizabeth and Nanne will discuss the art investment landscape, the use blockchain in the art market, and their innovative collaboration.

Art Talks Live: Satellites of Art - Make the Invisible(s) Visible

Good evening and good morning wherever you are in the Art World! We are delighted to welcome you all on another inspiring Art Talk with Katrin Imhof, founder of Satellites of Art , her curator Natasha Muziramakenga, and some of her international Artists represented in her platform : JEMIMA KAKIZI , RWANDA; KING JACOB CHIMEREMEZE, NIGERIA; PHUMZILE BUTHELEZI,SOUTH AFRICA; RICHARD ADUSU, GHANA; GAYANE AVETISSIAN, ARMENIA.

Why “Make the invisible(s) visible”?

I was intrigued to meet Katrin in Zurich last summer. Her idea embraced all the values of The Art Talk community. Katrin is a neuroscientist with many years of experience in sustainable international development, cooperation with the UN, and global / local organizations…

She strongly believes that diversity and courage for social change expressed through art makes the art world more meaningful, colourful, creative and inclusive world.

“We would like to ask ourselves together what could happen if we made the effort to see everything that is not obvious to us. We would like to give ourselves a chance to discover a feeling that comes from afar but that could appear to us very clearly as our own. We give ourselves the chance to discover other worlds with a little effort and technology.”Natasha Muziramakenga

"If Only These Walls Could Talk" - The Photography of Maryam Eisler

"If Only These Walls Could Talk" - The Photography of Maryam Eisler

Good afternoon and good morning wherever you are in the art world! The Art Talk and the Art Talk Magazine are delighted to welcome you all on another inspiring art talk on Maryam Eisler’s various facets of the ‘Sublime Feminine’ …

We are going to highlight two female leaders in the art world, Sophie Neuendorf, President of Artnet and Maryam Eisler, world-renowned photographer. Darius Sanai , Editor in Chief and Proprietor of LUX magazine and media and an Editor in Chief at Condé Nast will join us in this  wonderful Art Talk.

When I first spoke to Maryam Eisler, it seemed I had known her since a very long time. I fell in love with her energy, her powerful positivism and her touching beautiful poetry! She “eats , drinks and lives Photography “ a passion that only came along later on the road of her life and yet has become her true passion. Her main focus is to define what is to be a Woman : the “sublime Feminine” thematics in all her sensual and poetic way.

“Oh, but for the joys of meandering through corridors and spaces once trodden by the greats of art, culture, music, entertainment and literature. If only the walls in these unpretentious spaces could talk! What would they say of Le Nord-Pinus?”Maryam Eisler

Maryam Eisler will guide us through her exhibition ‘If Only These Walls Could Talk’ held at Alon Zakaim Fine Art, in London and curated by Helen Ho.  During her stay at the hotel in 2021 between lockdowns, Eisler was drawn in particular to Suite 10 - the location of Helmut Newton’s iconic 1973 Vogue shoot with Charlotte Rampling. Not in replication or imitation, but rather to explore and to expand on the subject of ‘La Femme’ in the Now. Eisler continues in her new series to pursue definitions of the various facets of the ‘Sublime Feminine’ – a consistent exploration of the artist into sensuality and the female gaze.Through her lens and in countless bodies of work, ‘The Sublime Feminine’ has been a constant protagonist in Eisler’s work; from the Catskills to the American West, Carmel to Mexico, Iceland to Capri, and now, Arles. Sensual yet strong, seductive yet unattainable, these women project an idea of an uncompromising femininity and a vibrant beauty…
