How do you measure health?

Today, I am curious to know about your measurement of health. Given the emphasis on social media and culture on having a certain body type, it's easy to get caught up thinking that health is only about looking a certain way. 

Watch my video where I discuss in detail a different approach for measuring your health. 

I invite you to consider what real health means, especially because the "ideal body type" for any place and time is usually the hardest to achieve. 

What if health could mean being yourself, in your essence, without trying to be someone you're not? What if being grounded is a measure of health, where you are fully present in your body and aware of your capacity? 

Especially if you've been through trauma, it takes time to build resilience and increase your ability to tolerate things. Your capacity changes according to what goes on in your life. There are many aspects to consider when measuring health, including self-awareness, kindness towards our bodies, balance, sleep, and joy, none of which have to do with how you look. 

I want to hear from you: How do you measure your health? Are you willing to reframe your concept of health? How much are you willing to expand and play to allow joy into your life?

Boundaries as expansion and expression of love

Hello everyone, it's Cat Kabira.
Boundaries have become a hot topic in my work. Whether I'm working with families, individuals with eating disorders, highly sensitive people, empaths, yoga teachers, therapists, coaches, or healers, the topic of boundaries always comes up.
We often think of boundaries in terms of our relationships with others and view them as a "no" or a negative. However, I invite you to consider boundaries in terms of management and as a means of expressing, and expanding love. Boundaries are essential in creating the space you need to thrive.
Internal boundaries, or your relationship with yourself, are particularly important because whatever is happening inside you is usually expressed externally. If you want to heal, you need to tell yourself that you can have anything you want and stop limiting yourself, not just in terms of food.
Are you limiting yourself in any way? Are you constantly constricting yourself, or are you setting yourself up for complete expansion and expressing who you truly are?
The key to healing everything is moderation, especially with internal boundaries. What is it like to have just a little bit?
There are many nuances to boundaries, and if you tend to be an all-or-nothing person, it can be challenging to understand what you really need to support yourself.
It's all about cultivating a healthy relationship with yourself, which involves listening to yourself with great kindness and developing healthy inner parenting skills.

Layers + comfort = self-love

Hello from Stockholm!

Watch my video where consider how are you being on yourself and invite you to be little more nurturing and kind to your body.

We’ve just had a crazy snowstorm and I’ve had to put on so many clothes just to go outside or stay cozy inside. And just thinking about the pressure of this whole bikini body thing, which is nothing new; and how many of us put pressure on ourselves of “I’ve got to look a certain way”.

It doesn’t make sense to invest so much energy in this type of pressure.

Can you Imagine when you die, are you going to be glad that you weighed 5 kilos less back then?

My question to you is:

How are we using our energy?

I’ve rarely met anyone, in particular women, who are just happy with their body for having been given a beautiful vessel that’s carrying me around and is amazingly loyal, even when it’s been put through so much stuff.

Our body deserves some comfort; just as the last thing you’d want in winter time would be to take away the extra feeling of warmth and become more miserable.

It’s okay to have extra layers on and in that there’s also a feeling of safety.

There’s a time I noticed, when my boundaries were not as good, that I put on more weight because that was my false protection though it didn’t actually work.

I just want to flip it around, and as you:

What if it’s okay to have a little extra weight?

What if that’s nourishment bringing joy when you need it.

This is my loving reminder that we also eat for pleasure and for community; in a way eating is an intimate activity and we shouldn’t dismiss that it’s okay to eat for pleasure…

It’s okay to eat for comfort sometimes.

There’s a reason why food is designed to be so pleasurable using the senses… the enjoyment of being alive!

When I decided to heal from my eating disorder once and for all, I came out of a ceremony and had a beautiful fest.

I felt I was ready to engage with earth, to take her, to use her nutrients and express it.

I feel a lot of this can be tied to being hard with ourselves.

I invite you today not to give into our society’s predisposition of looking a certain way and be aware that part of self-love is getting the nourishment and pleasure from your food.

ADHD and boundaries

I was just thinking about how I was diagnosed, way back when I was a kid with ADD and ADHD.

Watch my video where I give you a few tips if you feel like that’s something that you deal with; how to start to recognize and easy things you can do so it ends up NOT dominating you and how it is actually a SUPERPOWER.

For me, when it manifests it’s a high feeling of disorder but around my house and in my thoughts.

It’s just like everything looks disorganized; it’s a high feeling of disorder which also will mean that I start to procrastinate and I’ll want to go into a shutdown.

When my ADD or ADHD manifests, I’m not grounded at all so it’s hard for me to really see things in a clear or joyful way.

It’s a constant feeling of overwhelm and you simply can’t operate from that state of being.

While it actually has been a long time since I’ve ever had it dominate my life, I want to say that it’s also a superpower.

One of my doctor’s said that it’s for people who are emotionally intelligent.

It’s creative intelligence, where your brain is able to consider things that are unrelated and start to see the patterns within.

Usually my people are just beautiful thinkers and beautiful artists who do have ADD or ADHD and use it the right way.

For example, when I’ve got a project and I am in balance then I’m able to really hone in on my energy and use to get stuff done.

So it’s just an energy to learn to manage as opposed to thing of it as an affliction.

It’s simply energy that needs to be organized in a way it functions well like anything else.

I invite you to start looking at space, both internally and externally; and your diet, so you can be in balance and not easily overwhelmed or triggered.

Because usually, the ADD and ADHD comes not when you’re in balance but when you’re in overwhelmed.

And that’s a practice in itself: how do you know when you are overwhelmed?

How can you start to notice those subtle moments when it’s starting to happen?

So you can catch it and self care before it takes over.

I find that people who are constantly triggered with their ADD and ADHD have poor boundaries, both internally and with others.

There’s so many nuances with boundaries and this actually why I’ve created Boundaries 2.0: Claim your energy so you can thrive.

So far BOUNDARIES is a common thread in a lot of the challenges that many people are facing.

Are you ready to start working with your boundaries?

When I working one on one with my clients, the one theme that always comes up is boundaries.

Maybe you’re like some, where you’re like “I don’t even know what boundaries are? So can I even know how to set them or what that feels like?”

Maybe for you boundaries feel harsh like you are being mean,

Maybe you’re a people pleaser, Maybe you are more of an empath.

The importance of taking care of your energy body

Recently people have been asking me: “Where do you get all your energy from?”

Because they see me training really hard; I am working; I am climbing up mountains; socializing and it’s like I have this endless enthusiasm.

But that wasn’t always the case. There were times when I was very drained, had low energy and constantly was getting sick.

Being in environments and around a lot of people was too much for me. I decided to be an introvert who hides in her cave.

And so, I spent time learning about my own energy body, how to manage it and how to strengthen it so that I can actually thrive.

I realize now that over the years that’s what my work has turned into:

How can you really start to understand yourself into a multi-dimensional level, mentally physically and emotionally, your astral body and your subtle energy.

The Power of Sadness: how allowing yourself to feel can strengthen your energy

My question to you today is “what is your relationship with sadness?”

Watch my video where I talk about what is like for highly sensitive people to go through the spectrum of feelings that we live and how when we try to mute or numb out those feelings, we are actually doing a disservice to ourselves.

As an artist at heart, my healing path wasn’t medical or scientific; it was artistic as my art was fed over the years in a range of emotions from anger, rage, sadness, despair and loneliness to joy and enthusiasm.

If you sit long enough with your feelings through meditation, you can actually see how you are constantly changing, how many emotions are running though you and if you are attaching to them.

One of the tenants of the work in energy healing that I’ve shown people over the years is ‘how to actually be with your feelings”.

If your deny your feelings or try to numb out emotions, suppressed emotions turn into deeper currents that actually don’t get to move, they get stuck and frozen.

This is exactly what I love about art, whether you are singing, dancing or playing music, anything that allows them to have expression will help those deep currents move as you are allowing yourself to ‘be with your feelings’.

A fear that my clients have had and myself as well is:

“Am I worthy or able to hold space for others if I had so much happened to me?”

This is actually one of the powers that I have, nothing shocks me, I can be with someone in their pain as I know what addictions, despair, grief and even losing yourself.

I am curious what is your relationship with sadness; do you make room for grief in your life?

There is an art in allowing some tenderness and compassion in being with your sadness and feeling all those deeper edges

I invite you to be courageous and make space to allow yourself to feel all the textures including sadness and anger in your life, instead of resisting them.

That’s where the magic happens, when you allow those emotions to be there, making them comfortable enough to rest and transform.

I have found that when I started allowing myself to feel whatever was there, that suddenly my capacity expanded and strengthened my energy field and my ability to have boundaries.

There’s beauty in being able to hold the totality of the whole experience and expand your capacity to feel, allowing the whole flow to expand; making space for more life, more power and also more capacity for joy.

Working with addictions… Learning how to be present and know what it is really going on

Today I am sharing with you some important points on dealing with an addictive personality, from my own experiences.

While a lot can be said about healing my past and the recovery path involved, including how to handle past pain and how to transform trauma; learning how to be present is really key.

When you are truly present you will also surprisingly learn how to allow and enjoy pleasure in your life.

Many times when you are binging on food, alcohol, sex or drugs, there’s a lack of presence meaning you are not actually aware what’s happening; you stop feeling and not actually there.

When you hone on the other side, such as the case of eating disorders, you actually stop allowing yourself to taste or enjoy your food.

Watch my video where I discuss tools that have helped me being present, which in turn will allow you to let yourself receive and absorb the good things, especially for those of us who are highly critical.

When you ‘keep your presence’ you will also be able to realize what is really going on and determine what you really need.

Energetic Boundaries

I’d love to talk to you briefly about energetic boundaries.

When  you’re unconsciously invading someone else’s energy field, it may be  because you are feeling unsafe or insecure. It’s simply a coping  mechanism where you start tracking others to feel safe.

In my  work as an energy healing practitioner, it was essential to learn to  manage the parts of you when you sense the energy of others; otherwise  you’ll start feeling bombarded, scattered and drained.

Another  point is to consider if is it ok when you are receiving a healing  session to pull the energy of others into your session? In general, you  can’t do healing work on someone without their permission.

When  you are in a situation, where you are dealing with a challenge with  someone and can’t ask them for their permission, you can ask permission  to their spirits and even if they say no, you can still look at the  impact that you are having in your energy field and viceversa, the  impact that they are having in their field; so you can work out that  piece.

For example, if you feel estranged with someone and you’re  not sure why and it really hurts your feelings, you can ask their  spirit what is going on and heal the relational field as it DIRECTLY  impacts you.

Likewise, it is not appropriate or ok to think that  you can go fix them or heal them, without their permission, so they can  behave in a way that you want them to.

Respecting energetic  boundaries when you are doing work is essential, as well as asking  permission when you want to work on someone’s energy field.

Developing and Respecting Your Intuition

Today I’d like to share some tips on developing and respecting your intuition.

Watch my video where I talk in detail about the importance of trusting what your body is telling you, recognizing the signals of what feels right and developing self-trust; among other topics that will help you feel more grounded and start creating boundaries that help you be more connected to your intuition and empower you tome the right choices.

Sometimes our body responds with fear generated by old trauma or old conditioning; which makes it important to have self trust on what doesn’t feel right in the present moment. So self trust is essential in respecting your institution and perceive the distinction between old trauma and what doesn’t feel right in that precise moment.

Learning how to develop your own inner psychic wisdom will greatly help you in discerning what is right for you and where you need to go instead of doing something because someone else suggested it.

By allowing the opinion of others override what actually feels right for you, you are actually giving your power away. When you take the time to turn into possibilities, you will start sensing different timelines and realize that you can create a whole different story and outcome in your mind.

This is exactly where we want to discern between the mental feeling or the imagination versus visualizing what actually is happening and grounding yourself, so you can make better decisions for yourself according to your true needs.

I invite you today to start respecting your intuition in your personal life as ignoring it can actually have ripple effects in other aspects of your life.

Learning to respect and develop your intuition will help you to create self-trust and empower you to make the decisions of what is truly right for your current needs.

Addictive Personalities: How do we start to work with our addictions

A topic of interest that has come up lately, both personally and well with my clients is:

‘What does it really mean to have an addictive personality?’

There’s a lot of judgement about being addictive and how I’d love to break down for you is to consider if what you are doing repeatedly is meeting your what you really need.

An unhealthy addiction is when we’re reaching for something on a continual basis that doesn’t actually meet our needs; and also creates havoc, chaos and trauma in our life.

When we are acting in a repetitive way there can be the belief in our minds that this time it will actually get better or different. Classic example is for people who are binge eaters, their valid need is for comfort and feeling safe. So when they are reaching for a particular type of food in hopes that it will create soothing but it will actually never satisfy the true need.

As part of my work that I do with my clients, both with eating disorders and addictive personalities, is how to start feeling in a way that they can handle it; which for most of us is a game changer to realize that “I can handle life.”

When you are feeling fat, what is really going on?

My question to you today is:

When you feel fat, what’s really going on?

I personally know that feeling when you go “Oh my God, I feel so fat”; and also acknowledging that it’s almost a way to fit it given the level of marketing and manipulation done by the global diet industry to make sure that any woman is convinced that somehow there’s really something wrong with her whatever her body type is.

The way through for healing from an eating disorder or where you feel very dominated by either your worth is your body or just dominated around food, is also to question: Do you consider yourself sensitive?

Are you sensitive in a way that you feel a lot? Do you tend to feel more than other people with a more multidimensional richness or a depth in how you experience the world.

Watch my video where I discuss in detail what it is like to be highly sensitive and how part of my work is helping you put a place for a context for how to manage your sensitivity in a way that empowers you.

Speaking for myself, when I feel fat often times it’s not that I’m actually bigger, it’s I am feeling stressed. I have unprocessed emotions that I am not letting myself feel.

It’s amazing how much emotion we store in our body that we don’t really know how to process: rage, joy, sadness and stress.

Other reason can be that you are feeling other people’s energy, which can be a sign that you are having a problem setting boundaries and being able to discern what to take in and what to filter.

The real truth is that you are taking other people’s feeling and emotions.

If it’s some emotion that you are not letting yourself feel;

Boundaries and Anxiety: using your body as a tool for knowing YOUR truth

Recently while teaching in-person, one of my students experienced anxiety during one of our practices.

The topic that came up is the importance of recognizing our natural boundaries and what’s the role that anxiety plays in choosing what feels right for you.

Many times we try to convince ourselves of making our choices based on some mental overlay, like feeling guilty, ashamed or don’t want to be rude.

I invite you to at least respect that initial feeling, where you might not even know why, but you can tell that’s a no for you.

When you first take the time to pause, stop manipulating yourself, listen to your energy body and recognize what your system is saying, you’ll be able to investigate and accept that even if you feel uncomfortable setting the boundary you still have to.

We are most powerful when we take responsibility for ourselves, but we have to know ourselves to be able to take responsibility.

What is your relationship with your clothes?

I am curious today to learn what is your relationship with what you wear.

As I am in the middle of packing and un-packing after being in tour, one of my favorite things is getting rid of clothes.

For me, as my vibe is changing there’ll be a shift, it’s not so much about my body size but how I feel.

Some clothes give off certain vibe; like the color will make you feel happy or an outfit will make you remember exactly how you felt last time you wore it.

Is your relationship with clothes telling you that you are manipulating yourself (your body) in order to feel good?

This can be a sign that your inner voice is telling you that you have to ‘manipulate yourself’ to be ok in life, which is very exhausting.

The relief to this situation is when you decide “Here I am and I am good as I am”.

This is where the magic truly happens, you decide that you are going to show up as you are and you don’t have to keep making an effort to be ok because you are already ok.

Finding a way to shift your energy back into safety and joy

Just a quick reminder how essential grounding is.

It was the game changer for me in my eating disorder recovery and it’s essential if you're a practitioner in the healing arts.

It's what takes us out of anxiety and overwhelm and it's what helps us want to show up in life, engage with others, expand and explore, and be our full selves.

Most of the tips and energetic practices I share are how to do this on your own - which is helpful to know. We become empowered when we can start to resource ourselves again.

With that said, we're not alone and we are social creatures. It's through our relationships that we build self-esteem.

And it's through community that we also cultivate a feeling of safety, joy, and ground. We've come out of a long wave of isolation (and some countries and cities are still dealing with it).

It's also a trauma-response to isolate. "It feels safer to be alone than with others" can be a limiting belief. Remember how essential your tribe is and we all need that feeling of belonging.

That DOES NOT mean that you're supposed to fit in or be like others. Be your own little quirky moody wild self. Know that you belong by just being you. Sometimes we feel like we've lost our community and being honest about that is essential. Name your needs to yourself and to the universe.

You know I'm being real when I say you gotta talk to the universe. You can be practical and magical. That's one of the best superpowers there is.

Greetings from America!

One of my biggest passions is empowering you to understand your unique energy body.

In my trainings I teach how to manage your energy field so that you know how to thrive on this planet.

Learning how to manage my energy field was a game changer for me.

I had so much pain emotionally, mentally and physically growing up and was often so anxious and overwhelmed that I didn’t want to be here; plus I suffered from eating disorders.

Dealing with Criticism without Shame

My question to you today is how do you deal with criticism without shame?

Do you consider yourself a perfectionist?

Are you highly critical of yourself or have history of abuse?

Listen to my audio where I talk about my experience with dealing with feedback.

For people that have strong self-esteem, when they receive feedback their reaction is neutral and they take it as it is.

This is not the case when you have gone through trauma, the reaction can be emotionally charged.

There’s a tendency to try to protect yourself or try not to hurt the other one with your reaction; which sometimes leads to feeling shame.

In order to function in our society, it’s necessary to practice how to ‘receive feedback’ and witness our reality in a healthy way.

In the work that I do, I teach how to create the space to heal your inner child wounds and deal with your feelings, especially the one of shame.

One way to deal with it is to look at yourself at those moments and start loving yourself in those moments with the realization that everything passes.

Knowing that you are allowed to make mistakes is a very important practice.

There’s always the opportunity to make things better as well and repair things; sometimes by simply saying 'sorry' and acknowledging that you've made a mistake.

I invite you today to bring tenderness to yourself and stop living as a perfectionist.

This is just a reminder that you can witness the pain moving to your body and let it be like a wave, moving through.

Enjoy your choices

How much do you enjoy your choices?

Watch my video where I explore the possibility of allowing your energy to flow and be fully present.

The theme of second guessing and self-doubt come up quite often when I’m working with my students, especially when there is so much deliberation.

Then once that the choice is made, there’s a follow through instead of really just allowing yourself to enjoy the experience.

Suddenly there’s a stopping of the energy and wondering if you have made right choice.

As a result you’re never fully present and instead you become fragmented in your mind, plus you affect your energy system as well.

This is a friendly reminder that there’s never a perfect choice.

There’s always balance between black and white.

Dark and the light both need to be there; that’s simply reality.

And especially now, the essence of reality is surprise.

Even when things don’t exactly go as you expected, there’s the gift of learning and appreciating what you had.

Regardless the fact that you never can know what’s going to happen, you do have a choice.

The choice to allow yourself to have it and trust it, literally letting yourself rest and enjoying it!

I am curious to know what does ‘movement’ mean to you?

Do you move your body and enjoy it?

What does being healthy mean to you?

My question for you today is how do you measure health?

Watch my video where I talk about the meaning of being ‘healthy’ and the importance of listening to your body.

We all have been affected by the ‘diet culture’ and many of us have fallen into the ‘body shaming’ trap. I’d like to know your opinion because I’ve done it. At some point in my life, I was yo-yoing with my food and manipulating which ending being harmful to my body and not healthy.

Now I realize that when I’m really taking care of myself, there’s going to be a range in body weight.

As women we are meant to ebb and flow… sometimes because of emotions and other times it can be your hormones. To be healthy around your size is allowing some movement.

Here lays the importance of not being too hard on ourselves and we can really attack our bodies when our body isn’t the problem.

I am curious to know what health is to you and inviting you to use joy your barometer.

Why would you do something that it’s not fun?

When we are too rigid that’s when health turns into denial.

We’re here to be moderated and balanced. Cupcakes and brownies are not evil; it’s all about moderation and balance.

Do what you what you love and enjoy the movement!

Are you ready to bring yourself back into the beauty of the here & now?

This is a friendly reminder of how supportive meditation is :-)

Along with what I mentioned in this video, being able to observe your own thoughts is so empowering. It might help you stop believing all of your madness, you might see how quickly you go into old pain and future fantasy, and you can start to bring yourself back into the sweet beauty of the here and now.

There's no goal to feel or be a certain way and it helps us stop that compulsive striving to be better or different. Let's stop thinking that we're broken beings. I know that you already know all of this - but it's one thing to know it on the mental plane and another thing to embody it. So whether you're new to meditation or have been more casual, give yourself the gift of 15-20 minutes a day to sit.

If you do have a history of Trauma you may need some additional support while you sit otherwise it can be easy to go into overwhelm. This is where working with someone highly skillful helps you discover tools in how to integrate the pain of your past. My work tends to be trauma-informed due to my own history so when I teach sitting/meditation, breathwork, asana, and energy work there's always that lens of how to integrate your story and pain without going into overwhelm (and of course how to ground) in what I share. What causes an eating disorder?

While the diet industry (and fitness and "wellness") spends billions of dollars to ensure that you're convinced that you're not good enough as you are, and while the most ideal body type for each woman in each decade will be the one that's usually the hardest to achieve within her culture, and while there are high beauty standards that DO NOT celebrate the beauty of women but instead place time-wasting pressure...the causes for an eating disorder include these factors and also go beyond.

There now is proof that there's a gene making one prone to an eating disorder. Also this is the way that someone really is managing much deeper pain through the abuse and control of food and harm to her body.

Part of what I teach is how to healthily process your pain as well as learn that you can create a life beyond the trauma you've experienced. There are new alternatives available to you so you can now thrive. How to stop turning your anger inwards?

Also I work with highly sensitives as I personally understand how challenging it is to be in the world and feel so much. So those of you with eating disorders and are very sensitive and have a multi-dimensional intelligence, I really get you.

Worth Beyond The Body

Are you ready to break the spell and start feeling what’s underneath?

Despite all of the embodiment practices, therapy and intensive work since 1997, there are still days when I still struggle on not seeing myself.

You can be body dimorphic even when you are not anorexic or have an eating disorder.

Especially for women, we are often off on our own self-perception.

There’s beauty in truly seeing ourselves and realizing the ways in which we can treat ourselves in a more gentle and loving way.

I was unconsciously hurting myself and still find duality in my feelings between healing or staying stuck and not stepping forward into a life that goes beyond food.

The spell that I am working now is going beyond my mental level and go into the subtle, energetic depths of my eating disorders so I can own it differently.

In our society, so many times as women we place our worth in our body shape and many times the ideal shape is impossible to achieve, leading to starvation and hurtling ourselves.

Overcoming trauma and living with an eating disorder is a lifelong practice, which starts with gaining the self-awareness that will allow you to reclaim your inner power and live to your full potential.

Allowing yourself to be…

Today I am curious to know if you feel like you can choose to be happy?

Recently someone reminded me that I have the option to be happy when I was sharing some sad news.

Culturally we have been wired to ‘behave certain way’.

Watch my video where I share my thoughts on the importance of acknowledging our feelings and finding the space to be vibrant beings.

Feeling comfortable in all aspects is not always easy; and it’s even more difficult to let go of social expectations and trauma in our lives.

We don’t always get to choose our feelings and actually cause pain to ourselves trying to manipulate and fix your feelings.

When you allow your feelings to start to flow and move through you, you actually start moving your energy.

Magic actually starts to happen when you simply allow yourself to be and stop forcing yourself to feel certain way.

Allowing yourselves to be grounded and have the awareness of where your feeling of power is will help you make better choices.

This will give the insights to pull yourself out of the feeling of being stuck and realize that you do have the choice to pull yourself out.

And the same goes for pleasure, allowing yourself to rest in the feeling of joy often is a practice that you must learn to embody, so you have that feeling of anchor sport that you can remind yourself to go back when you are going through challenges.

One of your superpowers is learning what to do with what has been done to you and this is where the real work begins…

We can’t stop the heart breaks, we can’t stop the surprises, we can’t stop death…

But we have the power to receive beauty and stop turning towards ourselves with attack.

Creating Stability: Building a landing pad within yourself and why the environment matters?

When wanting to heal and also thrive, we sometimes miss that if we are honest about what creates a feeling of security and safety -as well as stability - that in itself will provide the ground you need to expand. Also when the body is grounded, that's when it actually can begin to heal itself.

I'm curious if you can be too hard on yourself? Sometimes we forgot to listen to our true needs, especially if they're different from what we expect.

As I write this, we're still affected globally by covid management and some of us are in lockdown. What can we do to take care of ourselves?

In this video I talk about the power of environment and why where we live (and work) does matter. If we're sensitive we will be extra-influenced by where we are. Or we may cope by numbing out so that we don't have to feel how we're affected.

We also get to create our own "landing pad" which is essential to help you drop down and land wherever you go. If you get ungrounded often or find that you scatter or have a history of complex trauma or a chaotic background, it's essential to start to wire in this feeling of support and safety so that you get that inner rest that's so necessary.

There's so much more that I can share but I hope this is helpful for you in some way.

Trusting yourself and inner discernment

How do you know what’s true for you?

If you are a regular student of mine and resonate with my teachings, you probably have what I call a more ’open’ energetic system.

This means that naturally you are more open and absorbent.

There are definitely ways to help manage, refine and taking care of who you are; but you can’t change who you are.

This is something that people who start working with me often wish that they weren’t as sensitive as they are.

I invite you this sensitivity to be your superpower, especially now that we are bombarded with so much information.

When we are more open there’s higher level information that you receive; discernment then becomes then essential.

We are unique and knowing your essence becomes important, as what works for others will not necessarily work for you.

The challenge then becomes:

How can we keep coming back to ourselves when everything is so crazy, be grounded and still feel joy?

This is when alone time and creating space for yourself to feel your ‘vibes’ becomes important.

In my work I help people find their ‘truth’ and feel what is your body saying and speaking to you.

Knowing your patterns will also help you know when you are contracting or expanding’ basically know your ‘true no or yes’.

Being aware of the signals your body gives you will give your discernment of true meaning of certain things, like feeling nauseous when you are giving your power away and someone is crossing your boundaries.

Other times, feeling nauseous may happen when you are moving forward and clearing some previous trauma.

This knowledge of yourself and being aware of your tendencies will give you the edge on how to manage different situations, have a healthy coping mechanism and come back to your power.

A Message of love for those with suicidal thoughts

What do we do when we feel that we don’t want to be here?

We are in a global crisis where anxiety levels have risen and so have suicide rates.

The real question is what do we do to take care of ourselves and still move forward with hope…

Manage to treat yourself with love and care for one another.

How do you meet yourself and have the courage to reach out so you don’t get stuck in the inner spiral?

Part of it is reaching out and communicating that we need help.

This is where having a support community comes into place.

The support system needs to have certain level of grounding and compassion integrated.

Movement can also help especially when it’s in an inviting environment and involves human interaction, such as dancing or going to a yoga class.

Live interaction is more powerful than you realize, especially during current times.

We have fragmented parts of our psychic that we need to make space for them.

When there is no one there to listen and to validate those wounds remain there.

When we allow them to flow and integrate, then it’s possible to start rewiring them and acknowledge their place.

While we cannot change the past, it’s possible to integrate at an energetic level and embody those feelings in such a way that you feel safe and want to be here.

To explain this, I often use surfing as an analogy:

When you are in an ocean, the waves don’t stop, they change and you learn how to ride them or move to the side to stay safe.

I invite you to find your way to engage, having first compassion with yourself and listening to the parts that are energetically stuck in your body.

Especially during those times when you feel frozen, it’s time to stop shaming ourselves and reach to one another.

One of our superpowers is being able to listen to ourselves, being able not to bypass or suppress our feeling and being able to reach out to someone in our community.

Especially during these times, it’s important to realize that we are here for each other.

We are not alone; we are in this together.

It’s time to support each other in our life work, come back into your own love and own soul center.

I am saying this with love and intensity because we can get through this… together.

Reach out to the people that can hear you, that you can trust and resonate with your system.

Leaving your body

What happens when we are feeling?

Is there a time when it’s healthy to leave your body or should you stay within yourself?

In my work I help you discover what is true for you and provide you tools for grounding.

If you resonate with energy, you can probably tell the difference when someone is present and give you their full awareness and when they don’t.

The same is true for yourself, is there a difference between leaving your body, going into fantasy or having a vision?

‘Leaving your body’ in energetic terms presents the possibility to develop different personalities to protect yourself.

My question to you is:

Is there a time when it’s healthy to leave your body or should you always stay in your body?

When you are grounded you will be able to stay in your own truth.

There are ways that you can journey so you can stay connected with who you truly are.

Our real power comes when we are conscious and aware of what we are choosing.

Indigenous cultures have often connected long hair to improved intuition.

My question to you today is…

What is your relationship with your hair?

When dealing with malnutrition from anorexia, my hair was falling and it took a long time to grow it our again.

Getting my hair back is part of what has made me feel I reclaimed my power.

I am very mindful regarding when I cut my hair and what products I use on my hair.

Paying attention to your hair can give you a clue of how you are handling stress in your life.

If you ever have noticed that the hairs on your arms stand up under certain situations, you probably understand what I am talking about.

Being mindful of your relationship with your hair can be grounding and help you be more in tune with your body.

Today I am switching topics and sharing some of my beauty tips with you.

My question to you today is…

What happens if we really take care of our health, what beauty comes from that?

Maintaining one’s health in today’s toxic rich environment requires proper rest, hydration, paying attention to the source of our nutrients and being selective about the products that you use on your body.

Throughout my own experience with eating disorders, I kept rejecting being beautiful and my femininity.

It took a lot of energy work to allow myself feeling safe to been seen.

It’s been a journey to appreciate my femininity and taking pleasure in feeling pretty.

It’s time to reclaim your beauty and allow yourself to be seen.

Sometimes it can be out of fear that we don’t speak up.

Allowing yourself to matter is not always easy.

The beauty is that you don’t have to live in your past and you don’t have to struggle all the time.
