Again, another wonderful passage from the Acts of the Apostles, 3: 11-26. The crippled man who was cured is still with Peter and John and the people of the town were amazed and Peter asks them, "Why are you amazed at this?"
In the Gospel according to Luke, 24: 35-48, when Jesus hears His disciples are talking about how they had come to recognize Jesus him in the breaking of bread, Jesus says to His disciples, "Peace be with you", they thought they were seeing a ghost.
Wednesday within the Octave of Easter
This week's readings are wonderful. The Acts of the Apostles in 3: 1-10 shares how Peter healed the crippled man who sat at the gate of the temple called, "the Beautiful Gate."
The reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke 24: 13 - 35 talks about how Jesus is still able to be among his disciples unrecognized.
They recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread
