HEATHER GERVASI (she/her) is an actor, an AFDC certified actor combatant, and an all-around creator. She currently resides in Chicago, Illinois, and has a BFA in Theatre Performance with a minor in Communications. Credits include ROMEO & JULIET (Tybalt) with The Powerhouse Theatre Training Company, ELLIS ISLAND: THE DREAM OF AMERICA (Helen Lansman Cohen) with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Heather recently served as a PA for a TV pilot in Chicago and currently works for the Goodman Theatre and Broadway in Chicago.

We watched a bad movie by M. Night Shyamalan as a joke, and then came up with some good ones to watch instead.

Theatre credits include: Elissa in TO THE NEW GIRL (First Look Buffalo Stage Productions), Tori in YOU AND ME (GBP), Honey Dew in HOMESTYLE HOMICIDE (Acme Mystery Co.), Melly in THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA (NU Theatre), and CLAUDIO in Much Ado About Nothing, which she performed in London and Stratford-upon-Avon while studying abroad and working with the Live Literature Company. DALLAS TAYLOR, a Buffalo native, serves as the Artistic Director of Inclusive Theater of WNY. He is also a weekend host on WBFO and a youth coach-mentor for Algonquin Sports for Kids where he coaches tennis and soccer to underserved youth in the community. The retired track & field athlete from SUNY Buffalo State College with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Philosophy now spends his free time writing, creating, playing tennis, and performing with WNY Improv.

We didn't have time to watch a movie this week because we were too busy making one! However we didn't want to break the schedule so we decided to give everyone an inside look on the production of our project. You can see our film on August 28th at the North Park Theatre.

We promised ourselves we’d watch out for red flags, and we didn’t find any! James Gunn gets a 10/10 for The Suicide Squad. 

Zack and Ellen regret to inform you that Space Jam: A New Legacy is… just terrible. However, the Loki on Disney+ is definitely worth checking out!

Leyla Gentil is a graduate from SUNY Purchase with a double major in Theatre & Performance and Arts Management. She has been passionate about theatre since her very first performance in La Tosca when she was 10 years old. Since then, she has acted, directed, written, stage managed and produced for the stage. Leyla is passionate about the power of theatre and its ability to make an impact on others.
