What is a witches wound? This wound is a subconscious and conscious wound, like no other. Many women maybe feeling over emotional or stressed during October. Our confidences maybe taking a direct hit or stand still. This can be a result of generational traumas, wounds and story telling. Most of it can come from the history of the Salem Witch trials during the month of October in 1692.  This can also  be a direct results from ancestral DNA or society's implementations of the history of the witch. Many women maybe experiencing not wanting to show their true thoughts, talents or practices in fear of be labeled a witch. Surviving and Leaving Domestic Violence
Today's podcast is a sensitive podcast. Please know that if you'r a victim of Domestic Violence you are not alone. I felt compelled to address this topic as a women who lived in a home where violence occurred. I know it's extremely painful mentally and emotionally. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon. Some of us were able to leave, some of us were able to get help and some of us are still in the state of feeling stuck. Please know there are resources, and people who can help.  National Domestic Violence Hotline "Every contact to The Hotline is personal. Some people who reach out to us identify as survivors of abuse, some as concerned friends or family members, some as abusive partners seeking to change themselves. While every contact is unique, our advocates are guided by The Hotline’s Consent and Ethics policy and will emphasize several key points throughout your conversation." Call 1.800.799.SAFE (7233)  https://www.thehotline.org "Safety Planning" "As a victim of domestic abuse or violence, you understand your situation better than anyone else. In your relationship, you have already been taking steps to keep yourself and your children safe. Discussing your safety plan with an advocate can help you think of other information that you might not have thought of while living in crisis. Even if you have used the court system, called the police, and/or have an existing order of protection, it is still very important to consider a safety plan. Safety plans can be made for a variety of different situations, including: dealing with an emergency, such as if a physical assault occurs; continuing to live with a partner who has been and/or continues to be abusive; and protecting yourself after you have ended a relationship with an abusive partner If You Decide To Leave It is important to understand that leaving may not be the safest option for everyone, and to trust that you know what is best for you. Abusers often escalate their tactics to threaten or harm their partners when they leave the relationship. During this time, abusers feel like they are losing control over their partners. With that in mind, here are some precautions to consider when preparing to leave or after you've left: Review your safety plan often. Open a bank account or get a credit card in your name. Get a P.O. box in your name. Change the locks. Consider putting in stronger doors, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a security system and motion sensor outside lights. Consider how you can more safely use technology and social media. Tell friends and neighbors that your abuser no longer lives with you. This doesn't mean you need to tell them about the abuse, but simply lets them know the abuser is not living with you anymore. Tell childcare providers the names of people who are allowed to pick up your children. If you have an order of protection protecting your children, give their teachers and babysitters a copy of it. Tell someone at work about what has happened. Ask that person to screen your calls. If you have an order of protection that includes where you work, consider giving your boss a copy of it and a picture of the abuser. Think about and practice a safety plan for your workplace. This should include going to and from work. Make copies of keys and important documents and find a safe place to keep them in case you decide to leave. What is a Chakra?
Welcome to the chakra series. This series will give enlightenment on what a chakra is. How chakras can be depleted, over filled, or unbalanced. This episode explains the philosophy of healing or balancing our chakras. A chakra is energy that is within us. Each chakra has a different center and purpose. Each resembles a section of our anatomy. This is our particular energy foundation. The Chakra energy is the energy that we receive from the universe, past experiences or beliefs. Some of us are able to release this energy while some may let this energy hinder our well-being. The chakra philosophy and practice originated within the Hindu culture. Many Chakra masters have been studying and utilizing the Chakra practice for decades. The Chakra balancing practices peace, balancing energy for healing and growth. For we are centers of the universe, and our energy serves a purpose. For we receive and release energy to our being and atmosphere. Before you understand how you can balance your chakras, you first must understand that each chakra has its own energy. Each Chakra has its own ability to receive and distribute energy for that particular area of the body. Let's take a brief look into our Chakras. We have seven chakras. Utilizing Feng Shui to transform your life with Justine Hernandez
Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice and philosophy of bringing health and wealth with your environment. Feng Shui translates to “feng” means wind and “shui” means water. The Interruption of wind and water which are associated with good health and good wealth. Many people use Feng Shui in their home to produce a environment of good health and wealth. Feng Shui expert Justine Hernandez discusses how utilizing Feng Shui to transform your life. The concept of centered energy through out the home can create frequency to promote or hinder health, relationships and wealth. Building a relationship with your environment and atmosphere can create a nourishing environment for care, awareness and growth.  Here are my top five Feng Shui tips. 1) Use light to create an environment of high energy or relaxation. Dim lights in bedrooms. High light in vibrant energy rooms, like kitchens or living rooms. Preferably use natural light. Use art or carpet to balance the light within the room.  2) Keep your doorway clear. The entrance to your home should be free and welcoming. Use plants or entry table to create an free flowing path to the heart of the home.  3) Use natural elements in your home to create a bond of nature and tranquility. I use metals, plants, free air, fire and stone frequently within my home.  4) Placing your bed against a solid wall to create a foundation of stability, and support to the one sleeping.  5) Remove and declutter objects that are not displayed or used.
