Junior golf phenoms Yana Wilson and Ali Mulhall join us to talk about their time at Augusta for Drive Chip Putt and their golf lives
We love us some junior golf. And when two local players from our beloved valley took home some major hardware at Augusta National last week, I just had to reach out and get them on the show. Yana Wilson and Ali Mulhall are two WILDLY talented golfers who will be making a name for themselves on the professional tour in a few short years, joined Joe and me for a quick interview about their time at Augusta for the Drive Chip & Putt, what they thought about the place and they settled to rumors about the Pimento and Cheese sandwiches. It was a pleasure hosting them for this little interview; we loved hearing their stories and how they have grown up with the game. Also, a big thanks to Jim Wilson, Yana's father, for helping us make this happen!  We're certainly looking forward to seeing more from them. Hopefully, that can include a few MAJOR titles like the US AM, The US Open, and the Augusta National Women's Amateur. Be sure to give them a follow on their socials; Yana - @yana54lv Ali - @gatormulhall

Stephen Noland returns to talk swing changes with Matt. Also a 10 question Q&A
No. 90 Season 3 Episode 14 Back on the pod after a 13-month absence, Stephen Noland joined me for this episode to go over where I'm at in my current state of the swing changes we've implemented.  It's been 15-months since we started working together, and we both thought an update to what is taking place was needed. I want to keep it fresh in everyone's minds that Stephen and I are 2,500 apart and have never met in person. All the work we've been doing has been via Facetime or video analyzing. After we covered what's going on with my swing, we thought it would be fun to do a quick 10 question Q&A. We also thought it would be quick. It turns out we can both be long-winded when it comes to golf. However, it turned into some excellent golf talk we both think you're going to enjoy. I hope this helps everyone get a better understanding of the amazing mind that is Stephen Noland. This journey I'm on to better myself as a golfer has been a blast, and it's even better because I've gotten to know Stephen on a level I wasn't expecting. I'm honored to call him one of my close friends and look forward to the day we can tee it up together! The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog. Interview Series: Blair Philip from Breakthrough Golf Technology joins us for this episode.
No. 80: Season 3 Episode 4 It was our pleasure to have Blair Philip from Breakthrough Golf Technology join us for this episode in our Interview Series. It's always exciting when we have someone on the show that's changing the makeup of the game. Blair has an extensive history in the game and is changing putting unlike any other company on the planet.  If you're not familiar with BGT (Breakthrough Golf Technology), I would highly suggest you tune in to this episode. Blair breaks down what the BGT shaft does to a putter and exactly how it can help you with your putting.  This interview was fun for Joe and me as we both have BGT Putters in our gamers. And we'll both testify they work!  If you're one of the many golf nerds out there, this episode will put a smile on your face for sure. Thanks go out to Blair and the team at BGT for letting us dig a little into the mind of one of the best in the business,  Be sure to give BGT a follow on Instagram if you're not - @breakthroughgolftechnology, you can also find them on YouTube and Facebook. The Weekly Walk: Dear Rohrs, Rat Farts, Harris English wins in Hawaii, QUIZ Time, Viva Las Vegas, Look at this Instagram
No. 79: The Weekly Walk: Season 3 Episode 3 Thank you for tuning into our show, The Weekly Walk. This week we're doing our best to get back on a regular rundown like we have been doing in the past. However, I (Matt) decided to try and implement some tech this week with the rundown via my new iPad, and well, that didn't work out so great.  Needless to say, the iPad is gonna get shelved until I can figure that out. We started this week's episode out with RAT FARTS, and after my admission of some pretty bad fo pas, I read a letter I wrote to my dear friend Neal "Rohrs" Rohrbach. What Happened this past week: Harris English was the big winner in Hawaii. He beat Wakeen Kneeman in a playoff on the first hole. And yes, we mentioned the fact he was chillin' with Sergio versus getting ready for a playoff. FedEx Cup Standings through the Tournament of Champions: Dustin Johnson Harris English Justin Thomas Bryson DeChambeau Patrick Cantlay OWGR through Monday 1/11/2021 Dustin Johnson Jon Rahm Justin Thomas Xander Schauffele Colin Marikawa Chasing Daylight LOCKS Results Joe (Xander Schauffele) 105pts + 30 Bonus points Matt (Cameron Champ) 24.25pts Jeremy (Viktor Hovland) 24.25pts Take-Two on QUIZ TIME We enjoyed the trivia last week, so I brought in some more to try and stump the guys. This week it was in regards to the current PGA Tour Season and the FedEx Cup standings.  The SNGA Winter Classic at Cascata First off, congrats to Joe for finishing 6th place in the Net Division. He played great, and the BLACK CARD to the Cascata Pro Shop was well deserved. On the other hand, Matt had a nightmare of a first-round and thankfully righted the ship and turned in a somewhat respectable card for the final day. What's happening this week? The PGA makes its 14th start of the season with a full-field event at the SONY OPEN.    The LPGA Tour, PGA Champions Tour, and the Korn Ferry Tour are all still until the Legends tee it up next week in Hawaii. Look at this Instagram: Three more solid choices for our favorite social media shoutout segment. Thanks for hanging with us through the holidays and the chaos. Was a lot hectic on my end but I'm grateful to have a couple of awesome friends like Joe and Jeremy! Matt - 1,136.00 Joe - 517.55 Jeremy - 483.267 Nothing has changed in the OWGR or the FedEx Cup Race. That will change this week!  Matt talked about his trip to AZ, The Valley, and his round out at Verrado Golf Club with James and also about his time spent on the bag looping for Andrew at the Saguaro Amateur down at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes in Maricopa, AZ  Joe and Jeremy relived New Years Day out at Coyote Springs and they also tee'd it up at Stallion Mountain, which to their surprise was a good outing.  Look at this Instagram  Here are this week's picks for our social media segment:  Joe: @roger_steele  Jeremy: @golfinyourstate  Matt: @keygolfco  What is happening THIS week.  Up this week is the Sentry Tournament of Champions which is being held at the incredible Kapalua Plantation course in Maui.  The rest of the professional golfing world is still idle for a few more weeks Here are our LOCKS for the TOC:  Joe: Xander Schauffele  Jeremy: Victor Hovland  Matt: Cameron Champ   Deep Thoughts with Stat Guy  With Rahm jumping ship to Callaway we opened up the floor to talk about equipment deals and how much do we think they're driven by money versus performance.  About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog. Interview Series: Jake Hutt, PGA joins us for some golf talk for this interview series
No. 77: Season 3 Episode 1 Anytime we can get a certified IG-famous or Instafamous personality on the show, you know we're going to jump at the bit! What I didn't know was how absolutely entertaining Jake was going to be while on the air.  If you're not following Jake (@jakehuttgolf), you are truly doing yourself a disservice. Since Joe featured Jake on Look at this Instagram a few weeks back, I've been totally enamored with his quick and witty way of getting some extremely valuable information out to the masses. His videos are quick, on topic, to the point, but most of all, THEY WILL HELP YOU PLAY BETTER GOLF. And, who doesn't want that?  Beyond his Instagram world, though, we found some fantastic details about Jake and his life with the game.  Much like others, we have interviewed recently, Jake is doing some good with his instacelebrity status and is helping raise money for kids in Uganda to help them play golf.  Click HERE to be taken to the Clubs for Kids Fundraiser and help Jake reach his goal!  We also learned about DryveBox, which is a unique way that Jake and his partners will be bringing golf to the people, not people to golf. Yeah, that's a headscratcher, but listen in, and you'll understand!  Then as we were chatting, Jake broke down how the stats from GameForge can help you play better golf. And then he completely blew my mind when he talked about putting and a metronome: such good stuff and an awesome episode.  We want to thank Jake for coming to the show. It was a blast getting to know him more and learn about all the things he's up to and what's going down in 2021!  Be sure to give him a follow and stay on the lookout for DryveBox in a city near you!  About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog. The Weekly Walk: Season Finale, Looking ahead to 2021, Look at this Instagram, DEEP Thoughts, So Long 2020!
No. 76: Season 2 Episode 56 The year has come to an end and we're thrilled you've chosen to take some time out of your life to hang with us! While 2020 will go down in history as arguably the shittiest year ever, we're maintaining our optimism that there are great things to come in 2021! There wasn't a lot to talk about this week as far as professional golf goes so we covered where we played this past week and what's ahead for the New Year's weekend.  Look at this Instagram:  As always, we had another great selection of Instagram accounts we think you should be following.  Matt - @davesansomephotography  Joe - @fried_egg_golf  Jeremy - @golfheads No Viva Las Vegas... Instead, it was an elongated DEEP THOUGHTS WITH STAT GUY OK, maybe it wasn't deep thoughts and it was more of what everyone else is doing, a year wrap-up and stuff. We casually chatted about our highlights and lowlights of 2020. That was it for this week's show. Season 1 of The Weekly Walk has come to a close and next week, in 2021, Season 2 will officially kick-off as the PGA Tour makes its return.  We'll have our locks for the week, talk in regards to Kapalua, and much more as we're ready to get the new year rolling! The Weekly Walk: Rat Farts, Slow time of the year for Golf, Deep Thoughts, The VGN, Viva Las Vegas, Look at this Instagram
No. 75: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 55 We're smack dab in the middle of the dull season for professional golf. At least we are now, for one final curtain call, blessed with the tandem of Tiger and Charlie Woods. The PNC Championship was a hit, and thankfully for us, it gave us something to talk about after Aarik Greenely set the podcast bar EXTREMELY high with last week's episode.   Rat Farts  We had a few during our last episode, and one we didn't mention cause STAT GUY missed it. Thanks to @itslikeimsayin for calling me out on a MAJOR RAT FART. We'll give him credit during next week's show.  What happened this last week.  We covered a few of the things that took place this past week, besides Tiger and his MiniMe. Most notably was Joe hitting "THE SHOT" out at Palm Valley on Sunday.   Look at this Instagram  This week, some solid selections for our social media segment where we show some love to the excellent golf accounts.   Jeremy: @torquegolf  Joe: @jakehuttgolf  Mathew: @puttviewbooks  Viva Las Vegas  This week it was all about the VGN (Vegas Golf Network) and what's happening in 2021. If you are a local golfer in the Las Vegas area, check out what we're doing. Click HERE to learn more.   Deep Thought with Stat Guy  It's not an every-episode thing, but during these slower times, and before we start with the player profiles and Wanna Get Away segments, DEEP THOUGHTS WITH STAT GUY will be around here and there. This week we discussed what was going on in our golf brains after Aarik came in and shook all of us with his insight of the game. The Weekly Walk: Aarik Greenley in studio, QBD Shootout & the Women's US Open, Look at this Instagram, Tour Talk
No. 74: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 54 The in-studio guest barrage continues this week with an extraordinary guest. Former Tour Rep from Adams Golf, Aarik Greenley, joined us for some outstanding golf talk and insights. This is one you're going to want to bookmark and save; it's good! We also had our typical Weekly Walk segments.  Tour talk was short and sweet.  We wrapped up the QBD Shootout and also talked about the US Women's Open.  The PNC Event takes place this week, and ALL eyes will be on the team of Tiger Woods and his son Charlie. At least that's where all our eyes will be!  Look at this Instagram  This week we featured:    Joe - @leetrevinofans  Jeremy - @caddienetwork  Matt - @josh.cnccreations  There is no PGA Event, so no picks this week.  Viva Las Vegas  We played a lot of golf this past week. Joe's took a walk around TPC Summerlin. The three of us played Cascata in some rather chilly, windy conditions. Joe and Jeremy played in the Sunday group out at Angel Park, and then Aarik and I played at Revere right before recording this.  It was an absolute pleasure having Aarik over for the show. His insight and golf mind is a beautiful thing, and anytime I can play the role of a song and soak up some of that goodness, I jump at the opportunity.  You'll hear from his mellow candor he's a pretty "cool Cat" when it comes to golf. He has a sweet sexy AF smooth swing that absolutely sends the ball, and it's a blast anytime I get to spend with him out on the course. AND he helped me with a major alignment issue I was having, and I threw together a few good rounds while he was here! So thank you, Aarik, for coming and hanging with us! No. 73: Season 2 Episode 53 I've wanted to do this interview since the start of this podcast. So you can imagine how excited I was to finally get Josh on the phone and talk about his brand CNC Creations. Josh is an incredible talent when it comes to creating unique ball markers, and it doesn't end there. Kingdom Putters is the other brand he has launched, and they have BIG plans for 2021.  I want to thank Josh for taking the time out of his busy schedule to chat about how he got started and how CNC Creations came to be. We're looking forward to the new putters in 2021 and, of course, the MAJOR MARKERS! Be sure to give CNC Creations a follow. The Weekly Walk: Slow week on Tour, Women's US Open, Look at this Instagram, Viva Las Vegas, Deep Thoughts
No. 72: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 52 For this week's episode, the main focus is our VGN Match we had at Revere. We're not quite back to a fully structured show. The move to the Breakfast Ball Custom Shop was a little challenging, and I was more concerned with audio quality than content. But after editing this episode, I think we'll be good to go moving forward. At least until the second week of January.   There’s no “official” PGA Tour event that involves FedEx Cup points, so no locks this week. Be sure to watch some of the Women’s US Open and all the Euro Tour finals.  Look at this Instagram A solid segment this episode with three accounts we’re sure you’ll love, especially if you’re a putter junkie.  Matt: @flatstickfocusputting  Joe: @milkygolf  Jeremy: @seeme_golf  Viva Las Vegas  The Vegas spotlight was all about our VGN outing at Revere. 16 members of the Network showed for this Modified Stableford event, and we had an absolute blast. Robbie Knick was the winner for this outing, and he took home the coin. Next up for the VGN is an event at TPC Las Vegas next month.   Deeps thoughts with the Chasing Daylight Podcast Adam, from the VGN, phoned in with an issue in regards to his play of late. So we had him sit down on the couch for a little golf mental therapy!   We’ll be back next week with a recap of Joe’s round at TPC Summerlin, our round out at Cascata for the winter classic warm-up, and there’s an excellent chance we’ll have another special guest in studio for EP 71 Until then, look for the next Chasing Daylight Interview to hit the airwaves next Monday featuring Josh from CNC Creations!  About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog, brought to you by the Good Walk Coffee Co.  This show is for the casual golf fan who occasionally likes to nerd out on the game's different topics. The Weekly Walk: The Masters wrap up. DJ wins it. Look ahead to next week on Tour. Look at this Instagram
No. 68: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 48 In this episode of The Weekly Walk, we covered the final Major of 2020, and oh, what a Masters it was.  First off, huge prop the Masters.com and The Masters' App for absolutely killing it with the coverage. This is the future of golf, in my opinion. It was brilliant. What a win for DJ! There was a ton to talk about, and we kicked off the conversation talking about an emotional Dustin Johson and how much not having Patrons at the event made it an unusual tournament.  Our picks for The Masters  Jeremy led the way with Justin Thomas.  Joe came in second place with Xander Schauffele, and  Matt brought up the rear with his Bubba pick.  DAMN YOU, BUBBA!  Look at this Instagram  Not to anyone surprise, one of us chose @themasters for their pick this week.   Matt - @coyotespringsgolfclub  Joe - @ramshillgolfclub  Jeremy - @themasters  Coming up this week  PGA Tour is in Sea Island, Georgia, for the RSM Classic at the Sea Island Resort (Seaside Course)  Korn Ferry Tour - First half of the season has concluded  PGA Tour Champions - The season has concluded  LPGA - Pelican Women's Championship to be played at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, FL This is an inaugural event.  Matt is playing in the Clark County Amateur out at Boulder Creek this weekend.  Joe and Jeremy both have rounds planned. Royal Links, Rio Secco, Bear's Best are all in the rotation, so we'll have plenty to talk about on next week's show.   Viva Las Vegas  Our locks for the RSM Classic And if you haven't done so, please leave us a review on iTunes; it really helps us grow the show by getting it out to more people!  Matt - Kevin Kisner 30/1  Joe - Joaquin Niemann 35/1  Jeremy - Sung Jae Im 20/1  About The Chasing Daylight Podcast  The Chasing Daylight is the official podcast of The Breakfast Ball Golf Blog.  This show is for the casual golf fan who occasionally likes to nerd out on the game's different topics. What happened this past week:  There was a PGA Tournament in Bermuda [insert crickets] Congrats to Brian Gay for taking home the win. Not bad for a 48-year-old. The Weekly Walk: Bibigo is Amazing, Rat Farts, TPC Summerlin Round, Look at this Instagram and Viva Las Vegas
No. 64: The Weekly Walk: Season 2 Episode 44 Hello bibigo!  You may not know this but in between all the bibigo commercials, there was some damn good golf being played. AND... at one of the most prestigious golf courses in the world! We'll get to Shadow Creek later on in the show. During this episode of The Weekly Walk, Jeremy, Joe, and Matt treated themselves to some damn good frozen Korean food.   Rat Farts  This segment could have gone on for a while. I had a major Phopah last week and ended our consecutive error-free show streak. Other than that, and a few other minor mishaps, we did find out that Taylor Montgomery and Jack Trent, both UNLV Rebels, have BOTH shot 62's out there. There are a ton of publications that got that wrong and we also missed it.   What happened this past week?  We covered Matt's round from TPC Summerlin with Patrick Gibbs. He tried to replicate Martin Lairds incredible up and down from the right rough on the 17th, failing miserably.  The CJ Cup wrap-up was in full effect.  Results from our picks.  The FedEx Cup update and the OWGR Update.  Phil goes 2 for 2 on the PGA Tour Champions Joe and Jeremy played out at Chimera.  Look for a new episode of Just The Tip to hit YouTube Wednesday.  What's happening this week?  PGA Tour - ZOZO Championship at Sherwood  PGA Tour Champions - Idle until 10/30 PGA Tour Korn Ferry - Season has concluded  LPGA - Drive On Championship - Reynolds Lake Oconee, Greensboro, GA  Look at this Instagram  This week we took a look at three more Instagram accounts we enjoy and want to spotlight   Joe: @golficers  Jeremy: @lvpaiutegolf  Matt: @seamusgolf  Vegas Golf Spotlight - Viva Las Vegas  The best par 3's in Las Vegas (or surrounding areas) Fall Overseeding Season has concluded, we chime in with our thoughts so far. Interview Series: Fury Golf CEO Ted Kritikos joins the show to talk about his brand.
No. 56: Interview Series: Season 2 Episode 36 What an absolute pleasure it was to interview Ted from Fury Golf. It's one of the aspects I love about this podcast. Not only do Joe and I get together every week and shoot the shit about golf, but we also get to conduct interviews with some fascinating and incredible people. Fury Golf is a Rock N Roll inspired golf apparel brand. What exactly is that? Well, you're just going to have to listen. But, if you're a fan of great rock n roll music and have a passion for golf, I think Fury Golf is a brand you're going to enjoy. Based in Long Island, NY, Fury Golf is quickly making a name for themselves in the space. They have an excellent following on their social channels, and I think the content they are releasing is solid! It's not your typical "Hey, check out this shirt!" The same goes for their website. It's more than just a place to shop for some cool swag. The published articles on the blog are excellent and will resonate with golf fans as well as music fans. So after listening in on this episode, head on over the www.furygolf.com and check them out!

The Lost Hardenbrook Tape
No. 47: Season 2 Episode 27 This recording was lost. I looked everywhere for it, and I was devastated that it never made it to the airwaves. You'll find out why as you listen.  But what was once lost has now been found! Ryan and I recorded this final sitdown with the two of us the day after they canceled The Players. COVID was still a relatively "new" thing, and none of us had any idea what was really in store for the game of golf or the world for that much. Remember that as you listen. There are some typical "HOT TAKES" and "TRUTH BOMBS" you all have come to love, but much like the beginnings of this show, we just sat back and chatted golf. Sit back and relax and enjoy Ryan's last appearance on the Chasing Daylight Podcast as a host!

No. 45: Interview Series: Season 2 Episode 25 This was an absolute joy for me. As a former freelance photographer, the world of photography has a special place in my heart. What Brian and a lot of the other popular photographers are doing now, especially in the golf realm is unreal. Brian has a unique eye and I've been a fan of his for a while. It was a pleasure to chat with him for nearly an hour and a half and learn more about his journey and where he's going in the future! Pop open a cold one and kick back for this one unless you're driving! As I said, it's a long one, but I think you'll heavily enjoy what he has to offer in this episode as much as I did! My interview with the Bandon Solstice Podcast
No. 42: Season 2 Episode 22 This is a different one for us. I was asked to be interviewed on the Bandon Solstice Podcast. Mike Stashak is the host of that show, and he and I had a great conversation about last year's solstice event. The planning, the preparation, the actual participation. Round Table Golf Talk with Doc and Ava
No. 41: Season 2 Episode 21 It's been a while since we've had a good round table golf sit down. I love talking golf just as much as the next guy, or gal! So when Doc (David Rhoden) offered to come and hang out at the casa and chat some golf, I jumped at the opportunity. Even better was the fact he had with him his amazing girlfriend, Ava. Ava is an aspiring golfer that has some serious talent. She's getting back to competition golf, and with the recent news that Doc is leaving Las Vegas, and Club Champion, and is heading back to the Phoenix valley with Ava, her support team just got a massive boost. Ladies, if you like having your side of the golf game talked about, this one is for you. Ava has some incredible insight into the women's game, and it was an absolute blast having her on the show. Doc as well, haha! Thanks for tuning in and I hope you enjoy this episode, it was a lot of fun, and I think Ava is going to have to be a regular guest! David Rohden aka "Doc": @dr.rhoden Ava Lourenco: @ava_lourenco Thanks again for all the support from these two! Doc will be missed tremendously, and he's a massive part of the reason why I decided to get into club building. His knowledge is remarkable, and I'm honored to be his friend. It looks like some Phoenix trips are certainly in my future! The Chasing Daylight Podcast is brought to you by The Good Walk Coffee Co.

Interview Series: Karen and Nick Lesnau from All In Golfing
No. 40: Interview Series: Season 2 Episode 20 When I came across the Instagram page for Karen and Nick's brand, the first thing that stood out to me was the fact they're Vegas-based. Finally, I had found a company here in the Vegas Valley that was doing something creative in the golf space. Thankfully, the products they are creating heavily out weights the fact there Southern Nevada based. I've met with these young entrepreneurs a few times since we first connected, and let me tell you, they are impressive. They are taking their time and doing what it takes to ensure a high-quality product while staying focused on new ideas and designs. It's only been a few weeks since we've been communicating back and forth, but I feel like I've known them for years, they are great people, and it was a blast having them on the show! I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it.  I firmly believe Karen and Nick are on their way to being stars in the golf industry, and it was an honor to have them on the podcats. Be sure to give their IG account a follow: @allingolfing, and you can find them on Facebook as well: @allingolfingco

Interview Series: Lindsay Burkhart from UST Mamiya joins us for a look at growing golf shaft brand.
No. 34: Interview Series: Season 2 Episode 14 I've been with the Ambassador program with UST Mamiya for over a year now, and like I say in this interview, MAN, I'm impressed with the results I'm seeing. Lindsay, who is the Social Media Marketing Manager for UST, was kind enough to hop on the phone and talk a little bit about her history and how she came to work for UST Mamiya.  Then we got into a whole lot of talk about golf shafts! New products such as LIN•Q Purple and Gunmetal. We talked about their flagship product line the RECOIL Shafts and we got an update on the Frequency Putter shafts.  As a Golf Nerd, I enjoyed this interview very much. I am starting to become more enveloped in the tech side of the game and having a guest like Lindsay on who's not only very passionate about the game and her career but she probably the first certified female golf nerd we've had on the show! She knows her stuff, and it was a blast to learn more about UST and her background.  We hope you enjoy this episode and be sure to give UST a follow on their Instagram Account

The CDP Vegas Golf Courses Rankings: Part 1 - #53 thru #38
No. 31: Special Series: Season 2 Episode 11 About 6-8 months ago, I noticed a considerable uptick in visits to my Vegas Golf Ranking page on the website. Ever since then, it's been by far the most popular page on The Breakfast Ball. I update it enough that it stays valid, but it had me thinking about recording a show in regards to the same topic. I reached out to Joe from HittinGreens about recording the show with me, and he thought it was a great idea as well.  We did this on a points system and then averaged our two rankings out for a final number.  The points breakdown like this:  GOLF COURSE:  Design - 15pts  Practice Facility - 15pts  Course Conditions - 15pts  Atmosphere - 10pts  The total points possible on the GOLF COURSE section is: 55pts  OTHER FACTORS:  Pro Shop - 15pts  Staff - 10pts  Price - 20pts  Total points on the OTHER FACTORS section is: 45pts  For a grand total of 100pts  We wanted the main ranking to be based on the golf course, and that is why there is a higher value of points available. But, we also know other key factors that go into choosing where to play. Price, for instance, is a MAJOR element in deciding if you'll tee it up or not, and that is why it has the point value it does, but it doesn't exceed the golf course total value.  Here is a list of the courses we talk about in this episode with the ranking number:  #53 Las Vegas Golf Center (29.5)  #52 Painted Desert (33.5)  #51 Durango Hills (41.0)  #50 Sunrise Vista (47.0)  #49 North Las Vegas Par 3 (48.0)  #48 Aliante Golf Club (48.0)  #47 Boulder City Muni (49.0)  #46 Palm Valley (53.5)  #45 Los Prados (54.0)  #44 Las Vegas Golf Club (56.5)  #43 Arroyo Golf Club (56.5)  #42 Desert Willow (57.0)  #41 Eagle Crest (58.0)  #40 The Club at Sunrise (58.5)  #39 Canyon Gate Country Club (59.0)  #38 Angel Park - Cloud 9 (59.5)  We hope you enjoy this episode and be sure to leave us on comment on the @hittingreens Instagram page or also on @thebreakfastball page.  Thanks for listening

It's an indoor training facility that is incredible. We talked a lot about golf and covered some of the current events taking place like the "Distance Issue" from the USGA and RNA and also answered a few questions from the Instagram post I made a few days ago.  Jordan is a stand-up human being and quite a stick. Stephen Noland joins us to talk about Matt's swing changes.
No. 27: Season 2 Episode 7 Swing changes are a bitch. There's no bigger truth than that! Personally, I've gone through too many and I swore after the last time I started from scratch I was done with them. Then I met Stephen.  @stephen.nolandgolf on Instagram, Stephen has taken me under his wing and together we have logged numerous hours via FaceTime in an attempt to better my golf game. So far, it's working. I've been talking Stavi up for months now and I thought it would be a good time to talk about what we've been up to. With a lot of the country soon to be lifted from the cold weather and allowed to venture out on to our heavenly fairways, I figured a conversation about what we've done to better my game might help some other to seek the advice of a teaching pro as I have. We hope you enjoy what Stephen has to say, he's incredibly talented when it comes to the golf swing and he's quite the stick himself. I believe he won 8 times last year on the AM Tour and also took home Player of the Year honors.  Thanks for listening! -Matt

No. 25: Interview Series: Season 2 Episode 5  What a fun episode this was to record. I was joined by the CEO and Founder, Tim Markison, along with his Director of Operations, Jerimiah Johnston, to talk shoes. More importantly, their shoe brand, Athalonz.  Athalonz has made a name for themselves in the sport of Long Driving, and they are looking to take the popularity and success of the WLD Tour and bring their tech to more golfers.  Tim and Jerimiah took some time out of the schedule, to which we are grateful, to talk about;  How the company came to be  How the long drivers found out about their shoes, and  What the future looks like for Athalonz.  It might help that they just inked Champions Tour superstar and overall golf legend Bernhard Langer to a contract!  Be sure to check out Athalonz Shoes Please visit the Athalonz WEBSITE to read more about their shoes and be on the lookout for our review coming soon on The Breakfast Ball.

Quick Podcast about the recent changes we've made to the show.
No. 24: Season 2 Episode 4 You have to go through some changes to grow, and that is what we are doing. Two significant changes have taken place over the last 48hrs, and I just wanted to bring everyone up to date on what is going on within the show. The first thing we did was to move the podcasting host over to Anchor. The changeover was a stressful situation, much like moving a website to a new host, but let me tell you I'm thrilled with what Anchor is going to be able to do for the show. I like to give a massive shout-out to BryanGolf for helping me understand the benefits of the hosting relocation. The other thing we did was eliminate the social media channels, except for Facebook, for the show. There was just too much on my plate as far as the social media sites go, and if I'm honest, this is a production that falls under The Breakfast Ball umbrella. So we will be posting all the similar content that was on the Twitter and Instagram accounts, over on the Breakfast Ball social pages. Other than that, nothing has changed. We've upgraded some equipment, and we'll now be able to bring you a better product, and hopefully, that will add to the growth of the show! All the episodes we have recorded are available where you've listened to them in the past, and we've added I think five other formats where you can listen to the show. Thanks again for listening, we love what we're doing with the show and cannot wait to bring you all more content in 2020!

Golf Chat from the Mercedes-Benz Studio
No. 23: Season 2 Episode 3 We're testing out some new features for the podcast. We've moved the hosting over to Anchor, and with a lot more accessibility to produce some content, we hope to have more episodes produced and at a faster rate. For this short episode, Ryan and I chatted for a brief car ride as I took him to the airport. We chatted about the upcoming season, we made some Major predictions and we, very briefly, talked about some of the new equipment that's starting to hit the shelves.

Golf chatter with David & Julien From Club Champion Las Vegas
No. 18: Season 1 Episode 18 The Tiny Roundish Table We welcome to the podcast and the tiny rectangular table, David Rhoden and Julien Munoz from Club Champion Las Vegas. These two gentlemen work alongside each other for eight hours a day and have a fantastic friendship. You would think after spending that much time together and being so involved in the game of golf, sitting down to chat golf after-hours would be a deal-breaker. Lucky for us, they are just as passionate outside te fitting bays as they are inside them. Before we knew it, almost three hours of banter and hijinks had gone by in what seemed like minutes. We absolutely loved having David and Julien sit down with us. Their insight into the industry and the fitting world is so valuable and we plan on having them on again, as you’ll be able to tell, it was too much fun. They both have a great story on how they got into the industry and where they want to go from here. And, they are both solid, and I mean SOLID sticks! Coverage of the Vegas PGA Show & The Tour Championship
No. 16: Season 1 Episode 16 Vegas PGA Show We didn’t get a chance to talk about the Vegas PGA Show since it happened, so before we dived into the Tour Championship banter, we covered a little bit about the show. What it is, what it isn’t, and how we feel about the event. There’s room for growth and Ryan had a fantastic idea to help get the unique, and smaller boutique brands involved. The Tour Championship Honestly, this could have been the entire episode. There is some much debate going on about the new format, and we wanted to have our opinions voice. Hence this episode. There are a ton of reactions from a lot of people out there, and we were fortunate enough to have two of the more prominent names in social media chime in with their own opinions. @PGAMemes and @Bryangolf both left us a voice mail (702-518-1864 USE IT!), and we listened, then talked about their views on how the Tour Championship could be better and if it should be better. For me, it’s all about Match Play for the finals. Ryan agrees, and so do a lot of other people. Ryan and I both want to thank Travis and Brian for calling in and being a part of the show. We love it when people call in, so keep those messages coming. The President Cup Not much to talk about here but we did bring it up since it is the biggest event on the future calendar of golf. Ryan’s Easter Eggs Hold up!! I’m taking over this week. As a show of appreciation, we are giving away one of the new Chasing Daylight T-Shirts you can find on The Breakfast Ball WEBSITE. Interviews from the PGA Show in Las Vegas: TRUE Linkswear, Dormie Workshop, Asher Golf, Greenside Cigars
No 15. Season 1 Episode 15 PGA Show Interviews from Las Vegas This was fun, so much more than I thought it would be. I was a little nervous about how the audio would come out, but that’s is why you invest, heavily at times, in solid equipment! PGA Show, Vegas Style Every year in mid-August the PGA Show spends a couple of days here in Vegas. There’s been an evolution of this show and I feel like it is still trying to find its place in the industry. However, Sherry Major and her team are making great strides to have this show be something to attract buyers and sellers from all over. The fashion shoe at TAO nightclub I heard was amazing and I will not miss it next year, and the Demo night at TopGolf was the best it’s been in the three years it has been held there. I’m still not a fan of the balls you have to hit but, it is what it is. We had a blast walking the floor of the show at the Venitian and at the last minute, I decided to grab our audio recorder and bring it along. I’m so grateful I did. The audio came out great and we got some great content from several of our favorite brands. Interview Series: Neal "Rohrs" Rohrbach from Strokes Gained Putters
No. 14: Season 1 Episode 14 Neal “Rohrs” Rohrbach joins Matt and Ryan for some golf chat One thing I knew we were going to love about this podcast was when our friends get to join us. I consider Neal to be one of my closest friends, and it was a blast to have him on the show. You may recall, if you follow the blog, Neal has had one hell of a year. Back in February, we published an article that Neal had written [Strokes Gained; The Story of My Iceberg] and it was meet with tremendous support. Now, however, Neal is back on track and firing up the machines once again. As he gets back to doing what he loves, some much, we honored, he took some time to chat with us. Making Putters and putting smiles on the faces of his customers In this episode, we learned something that was a complete surprise to both of us. Neal started Strokes Gained to fill the void Cameron left behind when he stopped using Carbon Steel. There was a significant enough demand from golfers who still love the soft feel, and the custom finishings. Neal was eager to fill their needs. Take those wants and desires and place them with Neals passion and history in the industry, and you have a winning combination. It was a blast getting Rohrs on the phone and let him let it loose on the golf industry. Giving him a format to drop quotes like: “You know I’m gaming an EvnRoll” made the entire interview priceless. Interview Series: John Billin from Ampcaddy joins us to talk Watts, Amps, Ohms and Golf!
No. 13: Season 1 Episode 13 The Ampcaddy Bluetooth Speaker We are all familiar with the popular trend happening in the golf world. Music on the course. While some find it utterly obtrusive and unacceptable, there is a growing number of golfers who love the concept of music on the course. Please don’t think we are advocating the jerks out there who blast the music disrupting everyone around them. There’s a level of civility that needs to be maintained if you enjoy playing your music playlist while golfing. For the most part, the people we have encountered who play music have been respectful and understand this trend is something that needs to be cared for as it matures. You’re not going to change the golfing world by being a pompous ass and forcing your way into the game. Meet John, the man behind the birth of Ampcaddy John has a great story of how he came to be a player in this music on the course niche. In this episode, John joined Matt for some candid behind the scenes information on how Ampcaddy started, and what the future holds for them. Music on the course is a love it or hate it type of experience. John has some fantastic insight into the golf speaker space. He shared with us how he got started with Ampcaddy, his background with golf, and why he has the knowledge to grow this business. With the good, there comes some bad Unfortunately, there was some lousy press thrown in the direction of Ampcaddy. We thought it would be an excellent opportunity for John to share his thoughts on what happened with MyGolfSpy. We let him explain why he feels they could be doing so much more with the platform they have. If you’re looking for a hate speech on why MyGolfSpy is an awful company, don’t listen. John is very respectful and made it clear he has more things to concern himself with than some social media posts. He has a reputable company that is producing a fantastic product that is only getting better with time. When you take into consideration his background in golf and the audio industry, we hope you’ll get a better understanding of how poor a decision it was for MyGolfSpy to attack them. Interview Series: The man behind the memes, PGAMemes creator Travis Miller
No. 12: Season 1 Episode 12 The hilarious PGA Memes We did it! Our first milestone for the Chasing Daylight Podcast, our tenth episode. What a better way to toast this occasion than having one of the hottest Instagram Golf Accounts join us for an interview. Travis, the man behind the madness at @pgamemes, hopped on the phone and gave us a little insight into what started the wildly popular account and what’s it’s like running the page. PGA Memes is an account worth following If you’re not following PGA Memes, do yourself a favor and go follow. Ryan and I both agree the content is hilarious. Most of the time the jabs they put on the Tour guys are exactly what we all are thinking. Travis has a unique sense of humor. He has brilliantly been able to use it grow the account to almost 400,000 followers. That’s just insane to us. It has been incredible to watch the growth on the account and to see the interactions from his following. You want to talk about building a community. However, pgamemes isn’t the only account for Travis We’ve all seen the videos, and some of us, mainly Ryan, have been “pranked” by SirHissalot. The wildly entertaining account @hissalot is another brainchild of Travis. It started back in 2014 and has grown to be an account where he doesn’t even need to create content anymore. Fans of the page are consistently sending in videos. Travis let us know he’s planning a revamping of the account and has some plans for 2020 to make it even better than it is now. We can’t wait to see that.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by ♛ Sir Hissalot ♛ (@hissalot) on Aug 19, 2018 at 10:15am PDT Ryan’s Easter Eggs It just wouldn’t be an episode if Ryan didn’t have something to give away. The Open Winner, Listeners Phone Calls and More
No. 11: Season 1 Episode 11 We chat about The Open Championship and more. Congrats to you on The Open win Mr. Lowry The Irsish flags were waving, and so were the Sxrion ones! And oh what a Major it was. In arguably the best put on major overseas that we could remember Royal Portrush flourished on TV and in person from those who were lucky enough to be on the grounds. That means you Joel, you lucky SOB! The stunning landscape and what this tournament meant to the people of Northern Ireland made it an unforgettable experience. Matt and Ryan briefly cover their thoughts on what took place and how this was the conclusion of the Major season. No more Majors in 2019 With the conclusion of The Open, we’re now left to wait another 261 days before we see Augusta in early April. With the new season schedule, we have no more majors left on the calendar and only the Tour Championship to look forward to for a high profile event. We are curious how this new schedule will pan out only time will tell. Both Matt and Ryan offer their takes on the new schedule and what this means for the offseason. Listener Voice Mails YES, we finally got to these! Matt has been pushing the voice mails for a while now (702-518-1864), and Ryan figured out why in this episode! We took in some great calls, and it provided us with some excellent content for this episode. The voice mail calls was a great segment! We cannot wait to hear more from all of you. After you listen, you’ll understand why we’re expecting more calls after recording this episode. So get busy! Something BIG is coming It may happen in Tahoe, it may feature a fine co-sponsor, and it will be the first event in our new BREAKFAST BALL EVENT SERIES. Stay tuned for more info in this. Interview Series: Logan Olson and Corey Paul - Putters and wedges oh my!
No. 10: Season 1 Episode 10 Episode 8 We are so excited to bring this interview to all of you. Both of us are fans of the work Corey Paul and Logan Olson have been doing. We’re not just fanboys though; we’re owners as well. Ryan has several pieces from Corey’s Wedge and Iron collections, and he also has an Olson Manufacturing putter. And, Matt has two putters from Olson Manufacturing, most notably the VEGAS58 Putter Logan crafted earlier this year. Getting to know these two incredible craftsmen We’re familiar with the backstory of how both brands came to be, but it was fun to listen to them talk about their passion. Corey and Logan have very different ways in how they came to be in this industry, and it was awesome to hear them tell their stories. Make sure you listen to what they are saying. They nailed so many analogies throughout the episode; it was hard to keep track! CPFA and Olson Manufacturing Collaborations Sunday, the dynamic duo, will release another collaboration on the Corey Paul Functional Art website. From the photos we’ve seen on their Instagram accounts, it looks like it’s going to be another fantastic release and we’re pumped to see it hit the site. Our talks continue in the second part of this episode: Club Champion and a MyGolfSpy Rant
No. 9: Season 1 Episode 9 The show goes on with some Club Champion talks and MyGolfSpy The second part to episode 7 opens up with our first Voice Mail message. It’s a creepy one. Then we dive back into the Stability Putter and the new flatstick from TRU2. Club Champion and getting fit correctly Both of us have spent a little time at the new Las Vegas Club Champion, and we are both fans of what they are doing there. The fitting process can be an uneasy experience if it’s not done correctly and we talk about why we like Club Champion. We also offer our insights on what to look for in a fitting. Getting fit is tops on our list of things you need to consider if you are looking to improve as a player. MyGolfSpy Rant However, what gets the boat rocking is Ryan’s take on MyGolfSpy. We cover our thoughts on what’s taking place with them, and that leads us to talk about golf balls. We cover MGS and their recent series about the findings in cut open golf balls and why we think what’s happing with this “tactic” may not be for all the right reasons. Please be reminded that this is our opinion and one of the reasons we wanted to start the podcast, to share our stories and opinions. The MGS topic led us into talking about our Golf Ball Sponsor over at The Breakfast Ball, Wilson Staff. The Open, Matthew Wolff and Stability Putter
No 8. Season 1 Episode 8  The Last Major It is almost here, the last Major of the season. With it, just around the corner we got in some first thoughts about the tournaments return to Ireland. Will Rory win a Major in Ireland? Will Koepka add another to his growing lists of Majors. Should you chastise anyone who calls it “The British Open” and what’s up with ESPN. Matthew Wolff is setting himself up to be a star We then got very long-winded on the new star on the PGA Tour, although he’s been making a name for himself for a few years now, Matthew Wolff. Last weeks winner has been a huge topic around the golfing world, and we chime in with our thoughts and question is the exemption to the “young guns” good for the sport. We interrupt this podcast Nothing can ruin the proper flow of a show like “technical difficulties.” We were getting to dive into the Stability Shaft when an unforeseen incident took place. After we “fixed” our issues we picked up the episode again and went on to talk for another 50 minutes. So instead of creating one, very long podcast, we have split this up into two parts. The Stability Shaft conversation picks up in part 2 along with some other topics you will not want to miss. Let’s say Ryan has a considerable soapbox and he’s not scared to get on top of it and voice his opinions. It’s excellent golf talk! No. 7: Season 1 Episode 7 Joel Leopard from Atomic Golf joins us for this episode. If you haven’t experienced any of the work Joel is producing at Atomic Golf, you are in for a treat! Joel took some time out from his busy schedule and chatted with Matt (and briefly Laura) about his company. He has an outstanding story about how Atomic Golf came to be, his career in the Nuclear Energy field, and of course, we talked about his Ball Markers. With an upcoming MAJOR #4 release a few weeks away Joel gives us a little insider info about what you can expect to see with the new marker. Hint, it’s going to be clover related. Then, Joel drops a bomb for us and let us know he’s working on a Putter Release for later this year! That’s right, a putter! It was an absolute pleasure having Joel on the show. He’s one of those guys who could talk golf for hours, and we LOVE that! He has some outstanding products in the works, and we cannot wait to see what he has in store for the MAJOR #4 release and his future endeavor with creating putters. And I can’t wait for the time we have him back on to talk more about his company and how things are going.
