Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services: Dispelling the Myths about Mental Health

Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services: Dispelling the Myths about Mental Health

Join us as Delores Haines talks about child and adolescent outpatient services.

In this episode, she breaks down unique forms of success for different families dealing with challenging behaviors using coping skills.

She shares how her team helps families see there is hope even when the family doesn't see it.

Our Executive Director Noah was mesmerized by the amount of information in such a short amount of time.

Delores shared why she thinks it is so important to have these conversations about mental health; I think it's important because mental illness is much more common that people realize and we as a society should make it so people are comfortable enough to talk about it. Having conversations about mental health will help dispel the myths.

Delores Haines, MA, LMFT has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 20 years. The majority of her professional experience has been in working with at-risk youth in inpatient, residential and outpatient settings. Ms. Haines believes that every young person deserves hope and respect, and works with young people in a way that promotes both. Ms. Haines also believes that the family is a critical part of quality treatment for any youth, and encourages those under her prevue to involve the entire family in the treatment process whenever possible. Currently, Ms. Haines is the Clinical Director for outpatient services at the Center for Health Care Services.
