They discuss his wrestling career including a fun story of how he LITERALLY "snuck into" the business in Memphis thanks to some HUMONGUS advice from a friend, his very first wrestling match that just happened to be on Channel 5 Memphis televsion, and how having his gear with him at the right time helped make that happen...and not in the way you would assume it would, working for Mid South Wrestling, getting ribbed by winning a championship, how he became a "Rich Cousin", how the Rich Cousins team ended and how he found out, USWA Wrestling, Smoky Mountain, WCW, WWF, Marcus Dupree, and all points in between, We touched on everything! A great interview with one of my favorite old school wrestlers who still has a lot of love for the business and it really shows in this conversation. On the debut episode of the Retro Rasslin Podcast, Gene Jackson is joined by Lolly Griffin aka Lolly Dude aka Francis "Crybaby" Buxton. Lolly has worn every hat there is to wear in professional wrestling from wrestler to promoter to referee to announcer, you name it and Lolly has done it in wrestling alongside some of the most legendary figures in the history of the business. Lolly has a history in radio which led to him being able to get involved in the wrestling business and has provided him a great career on the side of wrestling as well. From breaking into the business with help from friends such as The Fantastics, Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers as well as Terry Taylor, to hanging out with and learning from King Curtis Iaukea while living in Hawaii, to getting bloodied while refereeing matches between Abdullah the Butcher and the Sheik, to a most interesting encounter with his all time favorite wrestler Mr. Wrestling 2, Lolly has a ton of fun and amazing stories and we get to hear a lot of them here and we looking forward to speaking with him and hearing more in the future!

Originally planned to be the 2022 Year End Awards Show, due to some "scheduling issues" with a guest host....the Awards show has been postponed.  However, the show must go on and luckily the comment section was lively during the live broadcast so the gang answered questions and interacted with the viewers while also discussing their New Year's weekend, setting up potential match between the Violent Gentlemen and All Star Special with William Huckaby in the comments, and other fun stuff! It's Week #2 of the UWF Fury Hour (originally airing on 10/8/90) and it looks like Bob and Gene have returned to discuss more of that epic Herb Abrams' UWF action! This week not only do they review the matches but they also go in-depth on the total lack of psychology and logic displayed in much of the booking thus far and the controversial angle surrounding the main event of Col. DeBeers taking on Billy Jack Haynes.

This week the gang is joined by "The Gun Show" Brett Michaels! In this episode they discuss how Herb Abrams made his way into the wrestling business and how the UWF came to be.....then they discuss the very first episode of the UWF Fury Hour taped on September 24, 1990 and airing on October 1, 1990 from the Reseda Country Club in Reseda, California in front of 450 fans.

Gene's back with a new episode in his comedy podcast series and this time he's joined by Nico Brooke.  Nico has been in the comedy game for five years where she has gone from not only do comedy but also hosting and now producing shows!  It's been a fun and interesting process for her getting to the point producing her own shows.  A lot of great insight in this interview on getting started in comedy, the hosting mindset vs. the performing mindset, what she looks at booking performers for shows and the strategy on who to book and where.  A very fun and informative interview that I can't wait for everyone to hear!

On this episode the gang are joined by "the Ghetto Rockstar"/"Street Prince" aka Tyrone Murphy aka Tyrese Bro aka Tyrese Murphy Dog aka Tyrone Murphy Bitch Recognize.  Tyrese talks about his experience over the weekend at the Superstars of Wrestling FanFest over in Rome, Georgia and some of the advice he got from legends like Buff Bagwell, Jake 'the Snake' Roberts, and Vincent....who after the show we finally determined was actually Ernest "the Cat" Miller.  They also talk about the sabbatical that Tyrese is getting ready to take from wrestling in November in an effort to heal up his body while he takes time to work on his character and promo skills.  Then after the break, Gene dips out for a stand up gig while Shane Mako arrives just in time for the hot tag to discuss the previous interview as well as to talk about their "Top 5 phone apps for swiping".  A fun episode as always...give it a listen!

This week the Gang wasn't sure who their guest was going to be.....surprisingly it turned out to be their missing in action co-host, Shane Mako.  They discuss returning to EPW and just catch up on things in general. 

Gene Jackson finally returns with a new episode of the Jackson Reaction Podcast and starts a series of interviews with southern comedians and his first guest is Tyler Fomby.  Gene and Tyler recently worked together doing commentary on wrestling show and they discuss that experience in this interview. They also talk about how Tyler got started in comedy, who his influences are, working with Dan Alten, the process of coming up with material, and much much more! This week CheapHeatTV LIVE! was supposed to be joined by K Swiss but due to some last minute scheduling conflicts that interview had to be rescheduled as the show was going on. However, Zanders sprung into action and was able to get his old friend Kevin Ryan on the show! There's plenty to talk about with Kevin as he's fresh off of a very serious knee injury that has kept him out for several months and he's just returned to the ring in recent weeks. They discuss his injury, his return, being "burned out" before the injury, how his mindset towards pro wrestling has changed and evolved in recent years, how he plans to conduct business moving forward now that he's healed up, and much, much more!  A fun interview especially considering the impromptu nature of how it came together. It's finally here....the episode you've all been waiting for.....the gang is joined this week by STEVE PLEZING!  Steve is an old school legend of Alabama Wrestling.  He talks about his love of comedy (Steve tells a joke that gets the show legitimately kicked off Twitch within moments of him telling it), who some of the funniest people are he's worked with in wrestling.  Steve shares some fun Will Owens stories (and an awful joke at the end of the show!), the history and lineage of the Plezing family in wrestling, and much, much more!
