Sound The Alarm

Sound The Alarm

Conversations around mental health in Nigeria is usually fleeting and happens mostly when there's another death by suicide. Despite the importance of our mental health to our well being and productivity in the society the topic still wields stigma. This is why i decided to sound the alarm by sharing how young people are coping with mental illness, caring for their mental health and contributing to mental health awareness.

With more stories on mental health, it will increase advocacy on access to mental health care in Nigeria. The need for this issue to be on the front burner is quite  personal. Let's sound the alarm!

Better Food Na Money Cook Am

For me it's mostly time, what food can i prepare quickly and is less stressful? You can already tell that i don't like to cook. This pushed me to have this conversation. I hope you enjoy it and share with me what influences what you eat. Nutrition?

This is the first episode from the lessons learned as a fellow of ICFJ's Global Nutrition and Food Security Reporting Program.

Nobody deserves to be left behind.

Nobody deserves to be left behind.

Imagine the world leaving you behind even when she could carry you on. The world is 10 years away from the 2030 timeline set to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. SDG 3 is Good Health and well being and to achieve this the WHO s championing Universal Health Coverage and this means that everyone no matter where they are or who they are can access quality and affordable healthcare without sinking into poverty.

Apparently the villagers in Umuhu 1 Atta Ikeduru local government area, Imo State Nigeria  are already feeling left behind as might also be the cases for some other villages in the World. #PrimaryHealthCenter #UniversalHealthCoverage #FundPHC #LeavingNooneBehind
