Cholinga cha lamuloli ndi chikondi/The aim of the charge is love

Cholinga cha lamuloli ndi chikondi/The aim of the charge is love

1 Timoteyo 1:5-7 m’mavesi amenewa, Paulo mtumwi akuonetsera kufunika kolalikira mawu a mulungu kwa anthu. Iye akunena kuti ndi lamulo lochokera kwa olamulira wamkulu limene limaperekedwa kwa abusa onse omwe ali mchoonadi. Yesu monga iye mwini ulamuliro, akulamulira abusa onse kuti alalikire mawu a mulungu mpaka kumalekezero adziko lapansi kenako mathero azafika. M’busa kuti alalikire, akuyenera kukhala ndi chikondi pa anthu omwe akuwalalikira komanso amve kusoweka komwe anthu alinako kofunikira chipulumutso. Nchifukwa chake tinganene kuti cholinga cha lamuloli ndi chikondi monga momwe Paulo mtumwi akuyankhulira.

1 Timothy 1:5-7 in these verses, the apostle Paul puts emphasis on the need to preach the word of God to people. He says that it is a charge that all true pastors receive from higher authority. Jesus as the one with authority, he charges all pastors to preach the word of God to the ends of the earth and then the end will come. But for a true pastor to preach, he must have deep love for God’s people and feel the need to rescue them all through the preaching of the gospel. Therefore, we can conclude to say that the aim of the charge is love as the apostle Paul puts it.

Kusiyana pakati pa mpingo wa chikhalidwe ndi mpingo wa akhristu/The differences between traditional churches and Christian churches

Kusiyana pakati pa mpingo wa chikhalidwe ndi mpingo wa akhristu/The differences between traditional churches and Christian churches

Mateyu 5:38-42 ikutionetsera kusiyana kwa pakati pa maweruzidwe a dziko lapansi ndi a nkhristu yemwe walakwiridwa. Dziko limalimbikitsa kubwenzera pamene ena atilakwira ife. Mwachitsanzo, pamene wina amenya tsaya lako, nawenso umenye lake. Dziko limanena kuti mupatse anthu zomwe zikuwayenereza pomwe achita choyipa. Koma umu sim’mowe okhulupirira akuyenera kukhalamo. Timakhala munjira yosiyana ndi dziko lapansi. Yesu akutiuza kuti tipatse anthu zomwe sakuyenera panthawi yomwe atichitira zoyipa. Pamene wina sanachite bwino, m’malo momubwenzera, tiyenera kumukonda. Nchifukwa chiyani tiwakonde? Chifukwa talandira chinthu china chabwino. Talandira chifundo cha mulungu ndi chifukwa timaonetsera chifundo. Pamapeto pa zonse, mulungu ndi mwini kuweruza ndipo azaweruza. Tikungoyenera kumudalira.

Mathew 5:34-42 is showing us the differences between the worldly ways of judging and the way a Christian reacts when mistreated. The world would tell you to fight back when someone has done something wrong to you. For example, slapping you on the chick, you also slap back. The world would tell you to give people what they deserve when in the wrong. But, that’s not how a true believer should live. We live in such a way that is different from this world. Jesus tells us to give people what they do not deserve when they are in the wrong. If someone has done you injustice, instead of revenging, he tells us to show them love. Why should we love them? because we have we received something better. We have received the mercy of God and that’s why we show mercy. At the end of the day, God is the judge of everything and surely, he will deliver justice and we just need to trust him.

Zoyenera kudziwa potsuzula mkazi/what to know about divorcing your wife

Mateyu 5:31, 32 ndizomvetsa chisoni kuona mawanja ambiri akutha chifukwa cha zifukwa zosaziwika bwino. Mabanja ambiri tsiku lalero akumangidwa pa madziko opanda pake. Nthawi zina, ena akumanga mabanja chifukwa mwina mtsikana wapatsidwa mimba, ena akuyamba banja chifukwa chofuna kukwanilitsa zakuthupi, akufuna kukwanilitsa zokhumba zogonana. Ngati zotsatira za izi, mabanja ambiri akutha. Mabanja ambiri akusuzurana. Mu ndime yamalemba iyi, tikuona chifukwa chomveka bwino chimene munthu ali ndikuthekera komutsuzula mkazi kapena m’bambo m’banja. Tikuuzidwa kuti ngati mkazi wagwidwa ndi chigololo akhoza kutsuzulidwa. Ngati izi zichitika mosemphana ndi lamuloli, mkaziyo amasandutzidwa pochitira chigololo. Ngakhale pali zina zovutitsitsa kwambiri m’banja monga ngati nkhondo m’banja, kunena kuti ngati chitsudzulo sichiperekedwa mwina moyo ukhoza kutayidwa pamenepo chitsudzulo chitha kuperekedwa.

Mathew 5:31, 32 it is very sad to see many marriages falling apart because of selfish reasons. Many marriages today are based on foolish foundations. Sometimes, others are starting a marriage because the girl is pregnant, others are starting a marriage on the basis of pleasures, they want to satisfy their sexual desires in marriage. Due to these foolish reasons, many marriages are falling apart. Many are divorcing today. But, in this passage we see the only reason a man or woman is legible enough to divorce his wife or her husband. The passage tells us that the only grounds for divorce in marriage is sexual immorality. Jesus says that “whoever divorces his wife except on the grounds of sexual immorality, commits adultery. And whoever marries a divorced wife commits adultery.” This is the only reason that is given on the grounds for divorce. But there are other reasons for divorcing, and are legal. For example, on circumstances of physical assault in a marriage, that if divorce is not given then a life may be lost, then divorce may be permissible.

Pewani kusilira/Abstain from Lusting

Pewani kusilira/Abstain from Lusting

Mateyu 5:27-30 kuzitukumula, ulesi, kukonda ndalama ndi mayesero opezeka paliponse pakati abusa omwe akusamalira nkhosa za mulungu. Kusilira ndi yesero lomwe ndi loopsa pa onse. Chifukwa chiyani zili choncho? Yesu ananena kuti, munamva kuti “usachite chigololo koma ndikuuza kuti yense amene ayang’ana mzimayi ndi kumusilira wachita naye kale chigololo.” Yesu akukhwimitsa malamulo a mulungu poyankhula zimenezi. Iye achita izi chifukwa amalabadira zomwe zili mumtima mwathu. Ngati uyang’ana mzimayi ndi kumusilira wachita naye kale chigololo. Yesu akufuna ife kuti timvetse bwino komwe kuli vuto, ndipo vuto ndi mtima wathu. Ntchito iliyonse imene imachitika imayamba ndi khumbo lochokera mumtima. Tiyenera kukhala atcheru ndi osamalisa ndi zokhumba za mtima wathu pamene tikuyang’anira nkhosa za mulungu.

Mathew 5:27-30 Pride, laziness, love of money are common temptations that pastors who are shepherding God’s flock have. But lusting is the most dangerous temptation of them all. Why is that? It is almost impossible to recover from it and remain a pastor of God’s flock. You fail in this part of your life, you will be disqualified for the rest of your life from the ministry of pastoring God’s people. Jesus says, you heard it say “do not commit adultery, but I tell you that whoever looks at a woman so as to have sexual passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Jesus raises the bar here. He does so because he cares about inward standards of our hearts. If you look at a woman lustfully you commit adultery with her. Jesus wants us to understand where the problem is and the problem is the desires of our hearts. Every action that is committed begins with the desire in the heart. So, it is important that we safe guard our hearts as we are looking after God’s people.

Kodi mpingo wabwino ndi wotani? What is the best Church?

Kodi mpingo wabwino ndi wotani? What is the best Church?

Akolose 1:3-8 chaputa ichi chikuwonetsa makhalidwe asanu ndi chimodzi a mpingo wabwino. Choyamba ndi mbiri yabwino. Mutakhala kuti mwafunsidwa funso kuti mufotokoze mbiri ya mpingo wanu, inu munganene kuti chiyani? Kodi munganene kuti mulungu akugwira ntchito mu mpingo mwanu? Chinthu china ndi chidwi cha mpingo pa Yesu. Kodi mpingo wanu uli ndi chidwi chonse pa Yesu mu zonse? Ndipo chidwi chake ndi choposa? Nankha kodi mpingo wanu umakonda munjira yomwe ndi mulungu yekha angafotokoze? Makhalidwe anu kodi akuonetsa kuti muli okonzeka kukhala kumwamba? Kodi uthenga wabwino ukubereka zipatso mwa inu? Kodi mpingo ukutengera anthu kwa Yesu? Zinthu zonena zilipo zmbiri koma chinthu chofunika kumvetsa ndi chakuti mpingo si nyumba yokongolayo, kapena zovala zokongola zomwe akhristu amavalazo kapena chilichonse chokhuzana ndi dziko lapansi. Mpingo ndi zinthu za mulungu zomwe zakambidwa mwambamu, zimenezo ndi zomwe zimapanga mpingo weniweni.

Colossians 1:3-8 this chapter displays six characters of a good church. The first is reputation. If you were to be asked about the reputation of your church, what would you say? Would you say that God is at work in the church? Another character is church focus on Jesus. Is your church fully engaged and focused on Jesus? Can we say it is Laser focused on Jesus alone? Does the church love in such a way that only God can explain it? And what about the life style, does it show that you live for heaven? Is the gospel bearing fruits in you? Is the church doing all it can to bring people to Jesus? The list goes on and on but what is important is that we understand that church is not about the nice building, nice clothes you wear when going to church or anything worldly but the things of God. And that makes a real church.

Yesu Khristu mwini Chilamulo komanso mpulumutsi wa anthu onse/Jesus Christ the fulfilment of the law and savior of all people

Yesu Khristu mwini Chilamulo komanso mpulumutsi wa anthu onse/Jesus Christ the fulfilment of the law and savior of all people

Luka 2:21-35 ndime ya malembayi ikukamba zinthu zingapo zomwe ndizofunika kuzikamba. Ndimeyi ikukamba zokhuza Yesu kukhala okwanilitsa chilamulo. Izi zikutheka bwanji? Patapita masiku asanu ndi atatu Yesu atabadwa, makolo ake anapita naye ku Yelusalemu komwe anamuchita mdulidwe monga mwachilamulo cha Mose ndipo anamutcha dzina loti Yesu momwe analonjezera ngelo uja. Izi zinachitika kukwaniritsa malemba. Mavesi omwewa akuwonetsera kuti kubadwa kwa Yesu kunali kukwanilitsidwa kwa malonjezo a mulungu. Ngelo wa mulungu ataonekera kwa Maria anamulonjeza kuti azakhala ndi mwana ndipo mwanayo azamutcha dzina lake Yesu. Mavesi awa akuonetsera kuti zinachitikadi malingana ndi lonjezolo ndipo mwanayo anamutchadi Yesu. Chinthu china chofunikira kudziwa chomwe mavesi awa akukamba ndi ichi, Yesu ndi nkhoswe ya anthu onse okhala pa dziko. Ndime za malembazi zikukamba momveka bwino kuti “mwanayo azakhala kugwa ndi kuzuka  kwa ambiri mu Israeli.” Izi zikuonetsera kuti Yesu ndi nkhoswe ya anthu padziko. Iye ndi njira yokhululukira machimo athu. Nthawi zonse ndime za malemba ngati izi zimatilimbikitsa ife kutsendera chifupi ndi mulungu podzindikira kuti tili ndi nkhoswe yokhululuka machimo athu.

Luke 2:21-35 this passage exposes three important things which are worthy discussing. This passage talks about Jesus being the fulfillment of the law. How so? Eight days after Jesus’ birth, his parents took him to Jerusalem where he was circumcised per the law of Moses. And they named him Jesus according to what the angel said they were to name him. This happened in fulfillment of the scriptures. These verses also show that the birth of Jesus happened in fulfillment of promises made by God. After the angel appeared to Mary he promised her that she would give birth to a son and she is to name him Jesus. And these verses show that it happened exactly as the angel promised and Mary and Joseph named the child Jesus. One more thing to take note of from these verses is that Jesus is the propitiatory sacrifice for all people on earth. The verses say that “the child will be the down fall and the rising of the many in Israel.” This clearly paints the picture of the one who atones the sins of the many on earth. He is the way that many sins are forgiven. Every time we learn something like this from the scriptures we are encouraged. It draws us ever closer to God knowing that we have someone who atones for our sins and we can therefore approach the throne of Grace.

Tili ndi ulosi kale omwe ukukamba komwe mesiya azabadwire koma n’kuti pa nthawiyi Maria ndi Yosefe akukhala ku Galileya ku Yudeya. Izi zikuonetsa kuti ngati Maria angabereke pa nthawiyi, kuberekako kuchitikira ku Yudeya. Koma mesiya akuyenera kubadwira ku Betelehemu muzinda wa Davide molingana ndi ulosi. Izi ndizofunika kwambiri chifukwa mfumu yodzichepetsayi ikuyenera kuzalowa ufumu wa bambo ake Davide. Kubadwa kudzera mwa Maria ndi Yosefe komanso kubadwira ku Betelehemu zinali zoyenera. Koma kodi zitheka bwanji? Apa ndipamene tingaziwe kuti mulungu mu mphamvu ndi ulamuliro wake amalamulira mbiri ya anthu. Zotsatira zake tikuona Kayesara Augusto akupereka lamulo. Lamulo limeneli lipangisa Yosefe kubwerera kwawo ku Betelehemu pamodzi ndi mkazi wake Maria. Ndipo ali kumeneko ndipamene mesiya akubadwa. Izi zinachitika motere kukwanilitsa malemba ndi ulosi omwe unaneneratu za kubadwa kwa mesiya.

Luke 2:1-20 the day of Christmas is the day of the birth of a lowly king. This passage paints a clear picture for us as we see a prophecy about the birth of Messiah being fulfilled. It also helps us to understand that the one to be born is from ancient of days. it is God himself being born into human history. Now, the passage begins with a decree made by Caesar Augusto. How is that decree important? We already have a prophecy that tells us exactly where the messiah would be born but at this time we see Mary and Joseph staying in Galilee in Judea. It obviously means that if Mary were to give birth, it would happen in Judea. But the messiah must be born in Bethlehem, the city of David. This is important because the lowly king is to succeed the throne of his father David and his birth through Mary and Joseph and in Bethlehem are just the right circumstances. But how will it happen? This is where we understand that God in his divine providence controls everything. That’s why the decree made by Caesar Augusto is important. This will cause Joseph to go back to his village in Bethlehem obeying the decree. He goes there with his wife and while there it is when Mary gives birth to the lowly king Jesus Christ. This happened to fulfill what was already prophesied about the birth of the messiah.

Mphamvu ndi chisankho cha mulungu/Selection and sovereignty of God

Mphamvu ndi chisankho cha mulungu/Selection and sovereignty of God

Luka 1:57-80 ikukamba zokhuza chithu chapadera chokhuza mulungu chimene mavesi ena a muchaputa ichi akamba kale. Kufotokozera komwe kwapelekedwa kale kukugwirizana ndi maulosi ena omwe amakamba za kubadwa kwa mesiya. Mulungu amasankha mu mphamvu yake yemwe akufuna kumugwiritsa ntchito pofuna kukwaniritsa zolinga zake. Tsopano kuti timvetse zokhuza mphamvu ndi chisankho cha mulungu, mavesi a 57-80 a Luka akuyankhulapo momveka bwino pa zimenezi. Choyamba, mulungu akusankha mtsikana ozichepesa osauka ochokera kumnzinda osaziwika yemwe dzina lake ndi Maria. Ngelo Gabriel ochokera kwa mulungu anapereka uthenga kwa Maria kuti azakhala ndi pakati pa mzimu ndipo mwana obadwayo azakhala mwana wa wam’mwamwambayo. Maria anayilandira nkhaniyi ndipo anafuna kuwuza m’bale wake Elizabeti. Koma ngelo uja asanapite anamuuza Maria za m’bale wakeyo kuti anali ndi pakati mu ukalamba wake chifukwa sankabereka. Iye anachita izi kumusimikizira Maria kuti palibe chomukanika mulungu. Chachiwiri, mulungu akukamba momveka bwino malo, nthawi komanso motani momwe mwanayo azabadwire. Maulosi amanena kuti mwanayo azabadwira ku mnzinda wa Betelehemu mudzi wa Davide ndipo ndi komwe anabadwira. Mulungu akuwonetsetsa kuti zichitike malingana ndi ulosi wake ndipo zinachitikadi. Izi zimatithandizira kuzindikira kuti mulungu ndi wamphamvu zonse ndipo amalamulira zonse zochitika pa dziko lapansi. Tsopano, kudziwa izi zokhuza mulungu, zitanthauzanji kwa ife? Izi zimathandizira ife kudziwa kuti mulungu samasintha. Iye anali mulungu yemweyo munthawi yakale, iye ali mulungu yemweyo munthawi yatsopanoyi komanso apitiriza kukhala mulungu yemweyo munthawi yakutsogolo ndipo tikhoza kumudalira chifukwa samakhumudwitsa.

Luke 1:57-80 talks about something special about God that other verses of this chapter have already discussed. The explanation given here agrees perfectly with all the other prophecies foretelling the birth of messiah. God chooses whomever he wants to use in order to fulfill his purposes. Now to understand clearly about selection and sovereignty of God, verses 57-80 of Luke makes a clear comment on that issue. Firstly, God chooses a noble village girl called Mary who is lowly and poor from a small town. Angel Gabriel from God appears to Mary and gives her the news that she will conceive a child with the power of the spirit from God and the child to be born will be called the son of the highest God. Mary accepts the great news and wants her cousin Elizabeth to know. But before the angel goes back to heaven, he tells her about Elizabeth who also has conceived a child in her old age because she was known to be barren. The angel does this to assure her that nothing is impossible to God. Secondly, God makes it clear how, where and when the messiah would be born. Prophecies foretell that the child would be born in a small town called Bethlehem, the city of David and that’s exactly where the child is born. This helps us to understand that God is sovereign and that he controls every event that unfolds on earth. Now, knowing that about God, what does it mean to us? This helps us to understand that God never changes. He was the same God in the past, he is the same God in the present and he continues to be the same God in the future and we can trust him completely because he never disappoints.

Mulungu akonda anthu ake powapatsa mpulumutsi/God gives his people a savior out of love

Mulungu akonda anthu ake powapatsa mpulumutsi/God gives his people a savior out of love

Luka 1:39-45 Maria azonda Elizabeti. Nthawi imene Maria anapereka moni kwa Elizabeti, yemwe anali oyembekezera pa nthawiyo, mwana m’mimba mwake anadumpha ndi Chimwemwe. Elizabeti anali ndi kuthekera kodziwa chinthu chapadera chokhuza mwana yemwe Maria anali m’mimba mwake. Tikuyenera kudziwa izi zokhuza Elizabeti, iye anadziwa bwanji kuti Maria anali atayembekezera ambuye? Malemba amawonetsa kuti iye anali wodzadzidwa ndi mzimu wa mulungu. Izi zinapangisa kuti iye adzindikire bwino za mwana ameneyu. Chinthu chofunikira kudziwa ndi ichi, mulungu amachita zinthu zikuluzikulu myoyo yathu ngati ife timudalira iye ndi chikhulupiriro. Elizabeti anadalira mulungu moyo wake ndipo mulungu anamuzindikiritsa iye kuti Maria anali oyembekezera mpulumutsi wa anthu onse pa dziko. Maria yemwe anali ozichepesa pamaso pa mulungu anasankhidwa kubereka ambuye, zomwe ndi zinthu zopasa chidwi. Mulungu amagwiritsa ntchito anthu omwe ndi opanda kanthu kalikonse ku dziko kuti akwaniritse zolinga zake ndi kulemekeza zina lake. Mulungu amagwiritsa ntchito anthu omwe ndi opanda kanthu komanso ndi osaukitsitsa kuti achite zolinga zake ndi kulemekeza zina lake. Chimodzimodzi ife Akhristu lero, amene ndi osauka mu uzimu komanso opanda kanthu, mulungu angatigwiritse ntchito ngati timulora iye kuti atero. Choncho tiyeneni tizipereke kwa mulungu kwa tunthu kuti atigwiritse ntchito mu utumiki wake.

Luke 1:39-45 Mary visits Elizabeth. When Mary greets Elizabeth, who was pregnant at this time, the child in her womb made sudden movements showing happiness. Elizabeth is able to notice something special about the child Mary was carrying in her womb. There is something to be noted about Elizabeth, how was she able to know that Mary was carrying the lord in her womb? The scriptures show that she was filled with the holy spirit from God. This enabled her to know who this child was even before he was born. This makes Elizabeth’s child happy upon hearing the greeting from Mary. One thing important to take note of is that God can make great things in life happen to us but only if we believe in him and trusts him completely. Elizabeth trusted the lord and was given the privilege to know that Mary was carrying a child who literally would be the lord and savior of mankind. Mary from humble beginning was called by God to give birth to the lord, something which is remarkable. God uses those who are nothing in the eyes of the world to bring about his purposes and glorify his name. God uses people who are poor and lowly to accomplish his will and glorify his name. The same applies to us Christians who are lowly and poor in spirit, God can use us to accomplish his purposes and glorify his name. So we should be open and allow him to use us in his ministry.

Nkwabwino kukhala olimba muchikhulupiriro/It is good to remain firm in the Faith

Luka 1:26-38 ikutibweretsera nkhani ya msungwana wosaziwa mwamuna otchedwa Maria ndipo amakhala mu zinda wa Nazareti ku Galileya. Msungwana ameneyu analibe kudziwika kulikonse, analibe chilichonse chopatsa chidwi komanso amakhala muzinda wosatchuka. Koma mulungu anali naye cholinga msungwanayu. Ngelo Gabrieli anabweretsa nkhani yabwino nati “uzakhala ndi pakati ndipo uzabereka mwana wamwamuna. Ndipo uzamutche Yesu.” Kubadwa kwa Yesu, kapena kunena kuti kubadwa kodzichepetsa kwa Yesu kunabwera kudzera mwa Maria. Koma mkati mwakukambirana ndi ngeloyo Maria anachita mantha. Izi zinali motere chifukwa ankadziwa zina zokhuza mulungu. Zomwe ndizopatsa chidwi mukukambirana kwawo ndi momwe Maria anamuyankhira ngeloyo. Iye anati “zichitike monga momwe mwanenera. Popeza ine ndi mtumiki wa ambuye.” M’mawu ake, iye akuwonetsa kukula kwa chikhulupiriro chake pa mulungu. Iye akutiphunzitsa kulemekeza zisankho zomwe mulungu amatipangira ife ngati ana ake komanso osankhidwa ake. Monga ana a mulungu, ngakhale tikumane ndi mavuto oopsa, titsatire chitsanzo chabwino cha chikhulupriro cha Maria. Tikhale ndi mtima okwanitsa kunena kuti ‘zikhale monga momwe ambuye mufunira.’

Luke 1:26-38 brings us a story of a young virgin named Mary who lived in a small town of Nazareth in Galilee. This young woman had no publicity, had nothing interesting and was living in a place not famous. But God had a plan for her. Angel Gabriel brought her news saying “you will be pregnant and give birth to a son. And you will name him Jesus.” The birth of Jesus, also known as a humble birth of Jesus came about through this young woman called Mary. In the midst of all this, Mary was terrified and was afraid. At this point already, she had received a marriage proposal from a man called Joseph of the clan of David. After conversing with angel Gabriel, Mary finally understood and agreed to it, for this was God’s choosing and she had no objection. This was so, because she understood things concerning God. What’s interesting is how she responded to the angel. She said to the angel ‘let it be as you have said, for I am the servant of the lord.’ In her words, she expressed a tremendous amount of faith in God. She teaches us how to value the choices that our creator makes for us as his chosen ones and his children. As the children of God, in every circumstance that we face whether good or bad in his ministry, we should imitate Mary’s faith. We should learn to say that ‘let it be as the lord has purposed it.’

khalani anthu okonda chilungamo/Be a people that love justice

Mateyu 5:21-26 ikupitiriza kuyankhula zokhuza chilungamo. Ndipo chilungamo chimene mulungu akufuna, sichakunja ayi koma chankati mwa munthu. Yesu akuyankhula kunena kuti ‘ngati chilungamo chanu sichiposa cha afarisi ndi aphunzitsi a malamulo, simuzalowa mu ufumu wakumwamba.’ Mu zoyankhula zina,Yesu akuyamba mayankhulidwe ake kunena kuti “munamva kunanenedwa kuti.” Kuchoka pamenepo iye akuyankhula ndi kuwaonetsa anthu zokhuza chilamulo cha Mose. Komanso akuwawonesera momwe angatsatirire chilamulo chimenechi. Kenako akubwerera ku nthawi yatsopano kuti afotokoze momwe amayenerera kumvetsetsera chilamulo chimenechi. Kodi ndi zofunika bwanji kuti iye akambe zimenezi? Yesu watiwuza kale kuti sanabwere kuzathetsa chilamulo ndi aneneri koma kuzakwaniritsa. Yesu akutiwuza kunena kuti chilungamo chanthu chisangokhala cha kunja kokha koma chizichokera mkati mwathu. Potengera ndi zomwe chilamulo chimafuna kuti tizichita, ndi Yesu yekha amene anakwaniritsa kukhala moyo omvera chilamulo chimene mwangwiro. N’chifukwa chake akutiwuza momwe tingatsitirire chilamulo chifukwa iye ndiye amene akudziwa bwino lomwe. Yesu akutipempha kuti tikhale anthu okonda chilungamo. Ndipo chilungamo chathu chiwale ngati muni kuti onse omwe awona kuwalako alemekeze atate athu akumwamba. Chilungamo chathu chisakhale chakunja kokha kuti ena atitamandire ife.

Matthew 5:21-26 continues to talk about justice. And the type of justice that God wants, is not the outward justice but the inward justice. Jesus makes a statement about this saying that ‘if your righteousness does not surpass that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will by no means enter the kingdom of the heavens.’ Now, in his statements, Jesus begins most the sentences with the word “you heard that it was said.” And from there, he goes back to the old testament and show people what the law of Moses is about and also show them how they should live by it. And then he goes back to present time and show the people how they should understand the law of Moses. How important is it that he explains the law? Earlier, Jesus has already told us that he didn’t come to abolish the law and the prophets but he came to fulfil it. So, Jesus shows us that justice shouldn’t be a thing of outside but should involve inside life. And looking at what the law requires us to do, the only one who can follow the law perfectly is Jesus. Jesus in his entire life lived in obedience to the law. And that is why he tells us how to follow the law because he knows how. Jesus invites us to exercise true righteousness. Let it shine like light before men, and those who see it will glorify our heavenly father. Our righteousness shouldn’t be a thing of outside appearance in order to be praised by others.

Yesu aphunzitsa ndi ulamulilo/Jesus teaches with authority

Yesu aphunzitsa ndi ulamulilo/Jesus teaches with authority

Mateyu 7:24-29 Yesu akuyamba vesi 24, kunena kuti ‘yense omva mawu anga.’ Izi ndizofunika kuzisunga, chifukwa zithandizira ife kumvetsa bwino chifukwa chimene anthu omvera ulaliki wake ananena kuti amayankhula ngati yemwe anali ndi ulamuliro. Osati ngati aphunzitsi amalamuliro. Anthu ambiri analondola Yesu. Ndipo iye anakwera paphiri nayamba kuphunzitsa ophunzira ake. Mu mavesi a 24-29, yesu akuyankhula za munthu wanzeru ndi opusa. Awafotokoza motere; munthu wanzeru ndi amene amamva mawu ake ndi kuwachita. Kenako akulumikizisa ndi munthu yemwe akumanga nyumba yake pa tanthwe. Mvula inabwera koma nyumba sinagwe chifukwa inamangidwa polimba. Njira iyi ndi yomwenso Akhristu akuyenera kugwiritsa ntchito kumanga chikhristu chawo. Akhristu akuyenera kumanga pa tanthwe limene ndi Yesu Khristu. Ndipo iye akulonjeza kuti ndi maziko omwe sadzagwetsedwa konse. Ndipo pamapeto iye akumaliza ndi munthu opusa. Munthu opusa akumanga nyumba yake pa mchenga. Mvula inabwera ndipo nyumbayi inagwa. Zitsanzo zonsezi zimamveka bwino kunena kuti, wanzeru ndi munthu amene amamva mawu a Yesu ndi kuwachita ndipo munthu uyu ndi odala, Mateyu 5. Izi ndi zosiyana ndi munthu yemwe amamva mawu a Yesu ndipo samawachita. Zimangowonetsa kuti munthuyu sanamve konse mawu a Yesu. Ndiponso munthuyu sanali Khristu kumayambiriro komwe. Ndipo izi zimamupanga iye kukhala munthu opusa. Mayankhulidwe oterewa ndi omwe angayankhulidwe ndi yemwe ali ndi ulamuliro. Ndi chifukwa anthu anati, akuyankhula ngati munthu yemwe ali ndi ulamuliro osati ngati aphunzitsi amalamulo.

Mathew 7:24-29 Jesus begins verse 24, saying ‘whoever hears my word.’ Now, we have to take note of this because that will help us to understand why the crowd listening to him concluded saying that ‘he spoke as someone with authority. Not like the teachers of the law.’ A huge crowd followed Jesus. And Jesus gets on a mountain and sits down and opened his mouth to teach his disciples. In verses 24-29, Jesus talks about someone who is wise and someone who is foolish. He describes them this way; a wise person is the one who hears his word and does it. And from there he links it with someone who builds a house on a rock. Jesus said that, the rains came, the wind blew and the flood water lashed against this house but it was founded firm and it remained. And this applies to how true Christians are to build their houses which is their Christianity. Christians are to build on the true foundation which is Jesus Christ. And Jesus assures his people that no matter what problem they may face, they never will be destroyed for they are founded on the true foundation which is Jesus. And finally, Jesus concludes talking about a foolish person. Now, this person is foolish because he builds his house on sand and the rains come and lashes against this house and it is destroyed. Now all these two examples are understood clearly this way; Jesus talks about his word, the one who hears his word and does it is blessed, Matthew 5. in simple terms, this person hears and does it and is a happy person. This is unlike with someone who hears and does not do Jesus word. In simple terms, it just shows that this person never heard the word of Jesus. And never was a Christian to begin with, this makes that person a fool. It is only someone with authority who can speak like that, thus why the people concluded that he spoke like someone with authority not like the teachers of the law.

Mateyu 5:17-20 Yesu akwera pa Phiri ndipo akhala pansi ndikuyamba kuphunzitsa ophunzira ake ngati Mose watsopano ndi opereka lamulo watsopano. Mwa chitsanzo, mwana Yesu anatengeredwa ku Igupto pofuna kukwaniritsa zomwe zinalembedwa zonena kuti ‘ndinamuitana mwana wanga kuchoka ku Igupto.’ Izi zikuonetsa kuti Yesu sanabwere kuzathetsa chilamulo ndi aneneri koma kuzakwaniritsa zonse zomwe zinalembedwera iye, zokhuza iye. Mzimu woyera amatsekulira njira amitundu kuti amve ndi kukhulupirira uthenga wabwino wa Yesu Khristu ndikulandira chipulumutso.

Matthew 5:17-20 Jesus gets on a mountain and sits down to teach his disciples as the new Moses and the new law giver. Now the question that has many people wonder so much is; what is the relationship of the law of Christ to the law of the old testament? To answer that question, the beginning of verse 17 of this chapter clears our minds with what Jesus himself said. Jesus said “don’t think that I came to abolish the law or the prophets. I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.” Now, chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 of Matthew records all the accounts that took place in fulfilment of the coming of Messiah. For example, baby Jesus was taken to Egypt to fulfill what was written saying that ‘I called my son out of Egypt.’ This shows us that Jesus indeed came to fulfill what was written about him and for him and not to abolish the law and the prophets. But, was the law, the prophets and the writings given to the Jews for no good reason at all? Or was it just for them to brag that they had the law and the prophets? No! the law and the prophets were given them as a way of preparing them for the coming of messiah. So, does the law and the prophets teach us to view others lesser because they’re unable to follow the diet of the Jews? Or because they do not worship on a certain day like you do? Or that they do not keep the Sabbath according to your point of view? Jesus tells us clear that he came to save all, whether Jew or Gentile. Where do we see this? The holy spirit opens the door for Gentiles to hear and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and receive salvation.

Kumwalira kwa Sara/The death of Sarah

Kumwalira kwa Sara/The death of Sarah

Tikayang’ana m’machaputa ambuyo pamene Abrahamu amayitanidwa ndi mulungu, tipeza kuti anachoka kwawo pamodzi ndi Sara komanso Loti. Tinaonanso momwe moyo wa Loti ndi banja lake unathera. Koma kudzanja linali, posatengera mavuto omwe Abrahamu amakomana nawo sanali yekha. Nthawi zonse iye amakhala ndi mkazi wake Sara. Sara anali ndi chikhulupiriro ndipo anawelengera malonjezo omwe mulungu anapanga. Ndipo kumapeto a moyo wake anawona limodzi mwa malonjezo a mulungu akukwaniritsidwa. Sara anabereka mwana ali ndi zaka makumi asanu ndi anayi. Iye analandira lonjezoli pamodzi ndi Abrahamu. Ndi kudzera mwa iye mbewu ya mzimayi inayamba kuzafikira pamene Yesu Khristu anabadwa. Iye ndi chitsanzo chabwino kwa azimayi omwe ndi Akhristu ndipo ali m’mabanja masiku ano. Sara anakhalabe ndi Abrahamu nthawi zonse za moyo wake, iye anatsatira Abrahamu ngakhale sankadziwa komwe amapita ndipo anakhala mumatenti nthawi yambiri ya moyo wake ndipo sanadandaule kanthu konse. Izi zikuyenera kulimbikitsa azimayi omwe amuna awo ndi otumikira ndi kulalika uthenga wa Ambuye Yesu. Thandizani amuna anu momwe anachitira Sara ngakhale mutakhala kuti simukuona tsogolo lililonse, athandizenibe chifukwa izi zimakondweretsa Ambuye wanu wamkulu Yesu Khristu.

Genesis 23:1-20 tells us a story of the death of Sarah the wife of Abraham. This chapter also shows us how and why Sarah was important and it was worthy to record her death in the bible. If we go back to when Abraham was called, we would find out that he went out of his land accompanied by his wife and Lot his nephew. We saw how it ended for Lot and his family. But on the other hand, despite all the hardships Abraham faced, he was not alone. He was always with his wife Sarah. Sarah was firm in the faith and counted on the promises God made. And at the end of her life she witnessed one of the promises made by God being fulfilled. She gave birth to a son at the age of 90 after many years of no children. After God promised her a child, she lived to see that along side her husband. And it was finally witnessed by both of them and through her the seed of a woman was made manifest down to the birth of Jesus Christ. This plays out a good example to Christian women in todays time. Sarah stayed with her husband throughout all that God commanded them to do. She went out of her home with him without knowing where they were going. She stayed in tents many days of her life yet she worried not of prestige. This should encourage Christian women whose husbands go out to minister to others and preach the gospel. Support your husband just like Sarah did even when you see no hope, keep on supporting your husbands for this is pleasing to the lord.

Akhristu ndi mchere wa dziko lapansi/Christians are salt of the world

Mateyu 5:13-16 ikutionetsa kuti makhalidwe ankhristu mu dziko lapansi alingati mchere wa dziko lapansi. Makhalidwe a akhristu, momwe amayankhulira ena komanso momwe achitira ndi ena zilingati kuwala komwe kuwunikira dziko lapansi. Mu chaputa 5, tikupeza zinthu ziwiri zomwe ndi zofunika pa moyo wa anthu pa dziko lapansi. Izi ndi monga mchere komanso kuwunika. Tikhoza kukhala opanda suga koma ndikuphika phala kuthira mchere anthu ndi kudya phala opanda chodandaula chilichonse. Munthu uthakukhala opanda mafuta ophikira kapena tomato koma ndi kuwilitsa nsomba ndi kuthira mchere anthu ndi kudya opanda vuto lilonse. Zitsanzo izi zikuonetsera momwe mchere uli ofunikira. Momwenso kuwunika, kuwunika ndi kofuna pa moyo wa munthu. N’chifukwa palibe amayatsa nyali ndi kuyivindikira ndi mbiya koma amayisiya poti iwalile aliyense pamalopo. Anthu amafuna kuwunika nthawi zonse chifukwa anthu amadana ndi mdima. Ndi malingaliro amene, Yesu akulangiza ophunzira ake kuti nawonso akhale ofuna kuwonetsa makhalidwe abwino omwe watchula kale monga kuleza mtima, kukonda mtendere ndi zina zambiri. Muvesi ya 16, Yesu akumaliza ndi kunena kuti “momwenso kuwunika kwanu kuwale pamaso pa anthu kuti aone ntchito zanu zabwinondi kulemekeza atate anu akumwamba.” Pamene mukonda ena posatengera mkwiyo wawo painu, pamene mukonda ena pamene adana nanu, anthu azaona ndipo azalemekeza atate anu akumwamba.

Matthew 5:13-16 is showing us that the way Christians conduct themselves in the world is like salt of the world. The attributes of Christians, how they speak with others should be like the light shining forth in the world. In this chapter we are finding out two things that are very essential to humans and they cannot live without them. These things are salt and light. We can be without sugar and yet cook porridge and only add salt and have people eat. You have no cooking oil and tomatoes but still boil fish and only add salt to it and have people eat. These examples demonstrate how important salt is to the survival of human beings. Same applies to light, humans cannot live without light. This is why no one lights a lump in a house and covers it with a basket but instead puts it where it shines on all those in the house. Humans always want to be where there is light, we dislike darkness very much. With that in mind, Jesus is telling us that it should be the same with the followers of Jesus Christ. The followers of Jesus Christ should show all the attributes Jesus has already spoken about in the verses before these verses. Attributes like humbleness, peacemakers and many others. Now Jesus tells us why it should be like that at the end of verse sixteen. He says “let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven.” Yes, when people see you loving others despite their hating you, when they see you loving peace despite others criticizing you, they know and see the love for God that is within you. And will glorify your heavenly father.

Moyo wa Chikhulupiriro wa Abrahamu/a life of Faith of Abraham

Moyo wa Chikhulupiriro wa Abrahamu/a life of Faith of Abraham

Genesis 22:1-2 ikuyamba ndi yesero. Yesero lomwe ndi lovuta kukwaniritsidwa. Mu vesi yachiwiri ya chaputa chimechi, mulungu akuonetsera momwe kunali kovuta kukwaniritsa yeseroli. Zaka zambiri zadutsa, mulungu wachita zomwe analonjeza kuti achitira Abrahamu. Mulungu wapereka mwana kwa Abrahamu ndi Sara ndipo amutcha Isaki. Mu chaputa 22 cha bukuli tikuona mulungu akumuuza Abrahamu kuti apereke nsembe mwana wake Isaki. Izi zinali zovuta kuchita osati chifukwa Abrahamu anali ndi Isaki yekha (analinso ndi Ishumaeli) koma ndi kudzera mwa Isaki m’mene mulungu adzakwaniritsa ntchito yake ya chipulumutso. Komanso Abrahamu amamukonda Isaki. Abrahamu wavomera kuchita chifuniro cha mulungu. M’malingaliro mwa Abrahamu munali buku la Ahebri lomwe limakamba za chiwukitso. Izi zinapereka mphamvu kwa Abrahamu. Pa ulendo wawo kupita kopereka nsembe Isaki anafunsa bambo ake funso lachodziwadziwa ndipo yankho la funsoli likuonetsera chinthu chofunika chokhuza mulungu. Abrahamu anati “mulungu akapereka.” Pamene Abrahamu amafuna kupha Isaki kuti ampereke nsembe mulungu anamulesa. Ndipo mulungu anapereka mwana wa nkhosa kuti aperekedwe nsembe. Kodi izi zikukamba zotani zokhuza mulungu? Tonse ndi anthu ochimwa amene tikuyenera imfa. Koma mulungu anapereka nsembe osati ya nyama koma ya mwana wake yemwe kuti aphedwe m’malo mwathu. Ngati zotsatira mulungu akupereka chipulumutso kwa anthu ake kudzera mwa mwana wake Yesu Khristu. Kodi inu mukudalira mulungu kapena mumamukaikira? Tiyeni tikhale moyo wa chikhulupiriro momwe anachitira Abrahamu.

Genesis 22:1-2 begins with a test. A test that is too hard to carry out. God in verse two of this chapter makes it clear that all should understand how difficult it is to do what God was asking here. Many years have passed, God has carried out what he had promised. God has given Abraham and Sarah a child and they have named him Isaac. In chapter 22 of this book we see God asking Abraham to do something difficult. He tells him to sacrifice his son Isaac. Now this was difficult for him to do not because Isaac was his only son (he had Ishmael) but was the one through which God would accomplish his plans of salvation. And Abraham loved Isaac very much. Abraham agrees to this and is ready to sacrifice his beloved son. Abraham was strengthened thinking about what is written in the book of Hebrews which says that God has the power to bring someone dead back to life. But something unique happened on his way to sacrifice Isaac. Isaac asks his father an obvious question and the answer to that reveals something important about God. Abraham responds to his son saying “God will provide.” This was not a lie but in fact the truth. When he was about to kill his son Isaac and sacrifice him God stopped him. And he provided a ram for the sacrifice. Abraham had passed the test. What does this say about God? We all are sinners and deserves to die. But God provided a sacrifice of his own son to die in our place and give us his life. As a result, God is giving salvation to his people through Jesus Christ. Do you trust God or are you still doubting him? Let us live a life of faith like Abraham did.

Chinthu chabwino chochokera kuchoyipa/A good thing that comes from a bad thing

Chinthu chabwino chochokera kuchoyipa/A good thing that comes from a bad thing

Mateyu 5:11-12 Yesu wasintha chidwi chake tsopano. Iye akuuza ophunzira ake kuti ndinu odala pamene anthu akunyozani kapena kukuzunzani. mu mavesi omwe abwera mosogozana ndi awiriwa, Yesu wakhala akugwiritsa ntchito mayankhulidwe akuti ‘odala ndi amene’ koma tsopano mumavesi awa iye wayamba ndi mawu akuti ‘odala ndi inu.’ M’mayankhulidwe otere, Yesu akuyankhura ndi ophunzira ake kuphatikizira iye mwini. Iye akuwatsimikizira kuti monga iwo ndi ophunzira ake, azazunzidwa, anthu azalimbana nawo ndipo ena mwa iwo azaphedwa chifukwa cha Yesu Khristu. Koma kodi akuyenera kudandaula ndi zimenezi? Ayi! M’malomwake Yesu akuwawuza kuti amakhala osangalala pamene izi ziwachitikira. Yesu akumaliza m’mavesi awiriwa motere “sangalalani ndipo kondwerani, popeza mphoto yanu ndi yayikulu kumwamba. Chifukwa momwenso ndi momwe anazunzira aneneri inu musanabwere.” Okhulupirira weniweni chidwi chake chimakhala pa mphoto imene Yesu akuyankhula mumavesi awa. Ndipo imayenera kumupanga kukhala osangalala. Izi zimaperekanso mphamvu kwa onse omwe akuchitira umboni wa Yesu kumaiko omwe amalesa kutero. Izi zimawapangitsa kularikira molimba mtima.

Matthew 5:11-12 Jesus has now shifted his focus. He now tells his disciples that happy are you when people say bad things about you or persecute you. In verses preceding these two verses, Jesus has only used this language ‘happy are those’ but now for a change he says ‘happy are you’ referring to his disciples even including himself. In simple terms, Jesus assures his disciples and even his followers that they will be persecuted and people will go against them and even kill them because of Jesus Christ. But should they despair because of this? No! Instead Jesus tells them that they are happy when that happens to them. Jesus concludes these two verses by saying that “be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” One who is a true believer focuses much on the prize that Jesus speaks of in the Bible and that is what should make him/her happy. This is also a way of drawing strength, especially to those who are in countries which opposes the witnessing of the suffering of Jesus Christ. This should make them bold in preaching the gospel in such countries.

Abrahamu kapolo wodzipereka/Abraham a devoted servant

Abrahamu kapolo wodzipereka/Abraham a devoted servant

Genesis 21:22-33 padutsa kanthawi tsopano, Abrahamu wapita ndikukhala ndi a filisti. Ndipo kumeneko anakumana ndi Abimeleki. Abrahamu adamuuza Sara kuti azinena bodza kuti anali mlongo wake wa Abrahamu. Izi zinatheka, komabe mulungu anawululira Abimeleki bodza lomwe anawuzidwa chifukwa anali atatenga Sara kukhala mkazi wake. Mulungu sanakondwere ndipo anapangitsa azimayi onse akufilisti kukhala osabereka. Kenaka mulungu mwini analowererapo ndipo anawonesera vuto kwa Abimeleki. Abimeleki anapita ndikukakambirana ndi Abrahamu ndipo iye anapemphera kenako themberero linachotsedwa. Zotsatira zake Abimeleki anachita pangano ndi Abrahamu ndipo zinayenda bwino. Pangano litachidwa ndi anthu awiriwa ku Berisheba, Abrahamu anadzala mtengo komweko. Abrahamu anapembeza ambuye pansi pa mtengo. Abrahamu akuwonesera munthu yemwe ndi wodzipereka kwatunthu kwa mulungu. Tikumuona akudzala mtengo, ndipo pansi pa mtengo iye akupembeza ambuye. Nthawi zonse iye amakonda kupemphera. Iye ndi chitsanzo chabwino. Timadziwa kuti tazunguliridwa ndi mphamvu za kumidima zomwe sitingamenyane nazo ndi thupi ndi magazi athu. Mulungu yekha ndi amene angamenyane nazo. Ndipo ife tiyenera kukhala okonda kupemphera nthawi zonse.

Genesis 21:22-33 it has been a while now, Abraham has gone and live with the Philistines. And there he met with Abimelech. Now Abraham had told Sarah his wife to lie saying that they were brother and sister. It worked out, but later God reveals to Abimelech the lie that Abraham had told him for Abimelech had taken Sarah as his wife. God was unhappy and he caused the women of the city to become barren. Then God intervened and revealed the problem to Abimelech and afterward Abraham prayed to God and the curse was lifted. As a result of this Abimelech enters a covenant with Abraham and it worked out beautifully. Now, after the promise was made between the two at Beersheba, Abraham planted a tree there. Abraham worshiped the lord there. Abraham is demonstrating the life of someone who is highly devoted to God. We see him planting a tree, and there he worships the lord. He stays prayed up all the time. This is a good example. We know today that we are surrounded by powerful forces we cannot fight with flesh and blood, and the only one who can fight them is God himself. So, the best thing we can do is to pray constantly.

Odala ndi amene azunzika chifukwa cha Chilunngamo/Happy are those who suffer because of Righteousness

Odala ndi amene azunzika chifukwa cha Chilunngamo/Happy are those who suffer because of Righteousness

Mateyu 5:10 ikutiwuza ife kuti madzi osefukira akubwera kutsogolo kwathu. Yesu akutichenjeza za madzi osefukirawa. Ndipo akutiwuza kuti palibe yemwe angakwanitse kuthawa madzi osefukirawa. Njira yokha imene munthu ungathawire madzi osefukirawa ndi pamene uli ndi madziko angwiro. Madziko amenewa amatsindika ngati tili okondwa tsopano chifukwa cha zomwe zizachitikira ife kutsogolo. Izi ndi zimene zikulumikiza mathero a chiphunzitso cha paphiri ndi chiyambi cha chiphunzitso cha paphiri. Anthu amene ndi odala tsopano, amene amadziwa Chimwemwe chenicheni ndi anthu amene ali ndi chiyembekezo chopirira madzi osefukira omwe akubwera kutsogolo. Madzi osefukira omwe ndi nkwiyo wa mulungu ukamatsulidwa, ndani angayimirire pamaso pake? Zomwe ndi zoona kutsogolo zimatsimikizira Chimwemwe chathu lero. Zotsatira zake tinganene kuti Chimwemwe chenicheni ndi pamene ukhala otsatira wa Yesu Khristu. Munthu wake ndi amene amamva mawu a Yesu ndi kuwachita.

Matthew 5:10 is telling us of a flood that is coming ahead of us. Jesus warns us of this storm. And he tells us that it’s coming for us and nobody can escape it. The only way to escape it is to endure the storm. How? By having a strong foundation. This foundation can determine whether we be happy now regarding what will happen to us in the future. And this is the connection between the end of the sermon on the mountain and the beginning of the sermon on the mountain. The people who are blessed now, people who know true happiness now are the people who have the hope of enduring the storm that is coming. When the flood of the judgement of God is unleashed, who will remain standing? What is true in the future is what should determine our happiness today. Therefore, we can say that true happiness is to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. It truly means to be someone who hears the word of Jesus and take your life and align it with Jesus’ word.

Osankhidwa ndi mulungu ndi okanidwa ndi mulungu/The chosen ones of God and those rejected by God.

Osankhidwa ndi mulungu ndi okanidwa ndi mulungu/The chosen ones of God and those rejected by God.

Genesis 21:8-13 ikufotokozera zinthu ziwiri zofunika kwambiri, zinthu zimene zikuchitika pa dziko lapansi, m’mabanja ingakhale mu mpingo. Tikuwona nkhondo imene ikuchitika pakati pa osankhidwa a mulungu ndi onse omwe ndi okanidwa ndi mulungu. Koma kuti timvetse bwino izi, chaputara 3 cha bukuli chikutipatsa kumvetsetsa kwakulu. Mulungu akuuza njoka ija kuti “ndizayika chidani pakati pako ndi mzimayi, pakati pa mbewu yako ndi mbewu yake. Iye azaphwanya mutu wako ndipo iwe uzaluma chitendeni chake.” Izi zikuoneka pamene Adamu ndi Hava abereka ana awiri amene anali Kaini ndi Abere. Ana awiri awa anapereka nsembe kwa mulungu ndipo mulungu anavomera nsembe ya Abele ndikukana nsembe ya Kaini. Mulungu akusankha Abele ndikukana Kaini. Ndipo mapeto ake Kaini anapha m’bale wake. Izi zikupitirirabe kufikira nthawi ya Isaki. Ana a Ishumaeli akukula ndikumalimbana ndi ana a Isaki. Izi ndi zofunika kumvetetsa bwino chifukwa; izi zikukwaniritsa lonjezo limene mulungu anapanga mu chaputa 3:15 cha bukuli. Mu buku lopatulika muli malonjezo ambiri amene akukwaniritsidwa munthawi yathu ino. Izi ziyenera kutipatsa chilimbikitso ndi kukhala opilira mu chikhulupiriro chathu mwa Yesu Khristu.

Genesis 21:8-13 introduces us to two things that are much greater, things that are still happening throughout the entire world, in families and even in the churches. We see war between two kinds of people, those who are chosen by God and those who are rejected by God. But for us to understand this war better, chapter 3 of this book gives us a much wider understanding of this problem. God tells the serpent that “I will put hostility between you and the woman, between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” This is evident when two brothers are born to Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel. These two offered up sacrifice to God and God accepted Abel’s sacrifice but rejected Cain’s. Thus, choosing Abel and rejecting Cain. Later Cain kills his brother. This happens throughout until the birth of Isaac. Later we see the descendants of Ishmael fighting against the descendants of Isaac. Now this is important to note of because; it is the fulfilment of the prophecy in Genesis 3:15. The bible contains many prophecies that are seeing fulfilment today and this should give us courage and remain bold in professing our faith in Christ.

Ambuye achitira Sara zomwe adalonjeza/The lord did for Sarah what he had promised

Tikudziwa kuti mulungu amasunga mawu ake komanso amakwanilitsa malonjezo ake munthawi yoyikika, ukulu wa mulungu ndi kukhulupirika kwake sikuwona malire. Koma kudzera mu moyo wonse wa Abrahamu tawona kuti kusamvera mulungu kumabweletsa mavuto. Koma kodi izi zingaletse kukwanilitsidwa kwa malonjezo a mulungu? Ayi. Chifukwa ninji? Mulungu ali ndi kuthekera kosintha mavuto kukhala Chimwemwe. Sara anadikira kwa nthawi yayitali komanso analandira chitonzo chokhala munthu osabereka. Koma tikuona mulungu akukwanilitsa malonjezano ake ndipo Sara akubereka mwana. Nthawi ingatalike bwanji kapena ingafupike mulungu amakwanilitsa malonjezano ake.

Genesis 21:1-7, 25 years have passed since God made his promise to Abraham and Sarah to give them a child. Abraham has turned 100 years and Sarah has turned 91 years old. We can just imagine the impossibility of these too having a baby per God’s promises. Sarah has passed the age of child bearing. But the question is, can there be anything too extraordinary to God? We know that God keeps his word and fulfils his promises at the pointed time, God’s sovereignty and faithfulness see no boundary. But through out the life of Abraham we learn some valuable lessons like our disobedience to God brings us sorrows. But can that stop God’s promises from being fulfilled? The answer is no. Why? Because God has the ability to turn calamities into happiness. Sarah waited for so long and she suffered as well the taunts of being barren. But we see God finally fulfilling his promise and Sarah nurses a baby. It does not matter how far or how long, come what may God still fulfills his promises.

Tchimo silisintha kukhala choonadi/ A lie cannot change to be the truth

Tchimo silisintha kukhala choonadi/ A lie cannot change to be the truth

Genesis 20:1-18 mukumvetsetsa kophweka, mu ndime ya malemba iyi ikutithandiza kumvetsa kuti palibe choona chilichonse chimabwera kuchokera ku bodza lonenedwa ndi Khrisitu. Palibe chomwe chingabise machimo pamaso pa ambuye machimo akachitidwa. Mu ndime ya malemba iyi ikutionetsera kuti tchimo silingasinthidwe kukhala chinthu chabwino. Tikuona Abrahamu akunena bodza kawiri konse kuyambira pomwe anayitanidwa ndi mulungu. Koma kodi izi zikumupangitsa kukhala olondola? Bodza lakuti Sara anali mlongo wake linalibe chophimba chilichonse pamaso pa mulungu ngakhale linapulumutsa Abrahamu kwa kanthawi kochepa chabe. Koma mulungu akutionetsera kuti Abrahamu analakwitsa ponena bodza. Mulungu akumuonesera mfumu Abimelech bodza lomwe Abrahamu wanena. Izi zikusonyeza kuti mulungu sanagwirizane nazo zomwe iye anachita ponena bodza. Nthawi zambiri Akhrisitu amayesera kunena zomwe amatchula kuti ndi bodza loyera pofuna kuzipulumutsa kuzoopsa. Koma mulungu akutionesera apa kuti kulibeko bodza loyera. Tingoyenera kumudalira ndi kukhulupirira iye nthawi zonse. Ndipo pamene tipepesa, tisangonena pamwamba chabe. Mulungu amadziwa zonse zomwe tachita komanso tachita chifukwa chiyani. Tingoyenera kudzindikira tchimo lomwe tachita ndi kulapa kuchokera pansi pa mtima.

Genesis 20:1-18 in simple terms, this chapter helps us to understand that there is no truthfulness in any white lie that can be told. All sins are inexcusable before the lord. In this chapter we come to realization that no sin that can be told can be justified to be right. We see Abraham telling the same lie twice now since his calling. But does this make him right? The lie that Sarah was his sister was without excuse though it seemed to have given Abraham a temporary safety. But God shows us here that it was never apart of his plan for Abraham to tell a lie. God comes and reveals the lie to king Abimelech showing us that he is against the lie Abraham had told. They’re times that Christians try to tell what they call a white lie in order to save themselves from danger. But God here tells us that there is no such thing as a white lie. All we need to do is to trust him always. And when we make a mistake, it isn’t right just to give a surface apology to God like others do. He knows what we have done and how we did it, and he expect us to know our mistake and confess to him and then we apologize.

Ana a mulungu amabweretsa mtendere/Children of God brings peace

Ana a mulungu amabweretsa mtendere/Children of God brings peace

Mateyu 5:9 tikupeza phunziro lofunika mu ndime imeneyi. Ndime ya malemba yosatizana ndi iyi ikukamba za kuyera mtima. Kodi ndi ndani yemwe ali oyera mtima? Munthu yemwe samazifunira ulemelero iye mwini, munthu yemwe samapembeza mafano ndipo amadana ndi tchimo momwe atate ake akumwambwa amadanilana ndi tchimo. Yemwe achita zimenezi amakhala osangalala, chifukwa? Otero azamuona mulungu. Maganizo omwewo akutithandiza kumvetsa bwino za mfundo yobweletsa mtendere. Ana a mulungu amabweletsa mtendere. Tikuyenera kudziwa kuti kutengera mu chikhalidwe cha munthu, palibe yemwe angabweletse mtendere payekha. Munthu amangokhumbira chisokonezo ndi kukhala chopunthwitsa ena. Koma mulungu ndi yekhayo amene angabweletse mtendere. Ndipo yemwe ali mwa mulungu, ndi yemwe angabweletse mtendere chifukwa mulungu akuonesera mtendere wake mwa munthu ameneyo.

Matthew 5:9 we find a very valuable lesson in this passage. The preceding verse, verse 8 talks about being pure in heart. Now, who are those pure in heart? Those who don’t desire to bring honor to themselves, they don’t do idol worship and they hate sin just as their heavenly father hate sin. These are called happy because they are pure in heart and what will happen to them? They will see of God. Now with that in mind, verse 9 speaks about children who bring peace and these are children of God. But we need to understand that according to our human nature, we cannot bring peace. We love to bring chaos and be a stumbling block to others. It is only God who brings peace. And obviously speaking, if you are in God then we can rightly say you have the possibility to bring peace. As a result, through you God brings about peace.

Moyo olekana ndi mulungu ndi mavuto okhaokha/Life apart from God equals suffering

Moyo olekana ndi mulungu ndi mavuto okhaokha/Life apart from God equals suffering

Genesis 19:30-38 ikumaliza ndi mathero a Sodom ndi Gomora. Bukhu lopatulika molungama limanena za mbiri ya anthu (kuphatikizirapo zoofoka zawo ndi momwe zimawonjezera ku mavuto awo). Mu ndime yamalembayi, tikupezamo phunziro lofunika kwambiri; moyo olekana ndi mulungu ndi mavuto okhaokha. Anthu okhala ku Sodom amakhala moyo olekana ndi mulungu ndipo anachita zonyansa zambiri. Mapeto ake mulungu analengeza chiweruzo pa onse kumeneko. Koma zomwe zinachitikira Loti zikuonetsera momwe sitepe imodzi yolekana ndi mulungu ingabweretsere mavuto. Tikuona moyo wa Loti ukumalizidwa ndi chisoni. Ana ake aakazi agona naye malo amodzi pofuna kukonza vuto lomwe amaganizira kuti mulungu analinalo. Izi ndi zotsatira zakusachita zomwe mulungu anawalamulira kuti achite. Chenjezo kwa ife lero, mwina tikuyenda ndi ambuye koma pali zinthu zina zomwe tikhumbira molekana ndi mulungu. Tidziwe kunena kuti mathero ake ndi mazunzo chifukwa moyo olekana ndi mulungu umabweretsa mavuto azaoneni. Mapeto ake ngati timalingirira kuchita motero, tileke. Moyo olekana ndi mulungu umabweretsa mavuto okhaokha.

Genesis 19:30-38 is ending the story of Sodom and Gomora. The Bible has always honestly told us about human history (it includes their short falls and how those contributed to their problems and suffering). In this passage, we find a very valuable lesson; life apart from God only equals suffering. The people of Sodom lived their lives apart from God and did all kinds of bad things and so God declared judgement upon these two cities. But what happens to Lot after this reveals to us just how a small step away from God can lead us far away from him and bring problems. We see the life of Lot ending in a pitiful way. His daughters sleep with him in trying to fix what they thought was a problem to God. This is the result of not doing what God told them to do. A warning to each of us, maybe we are walking with the lord today but they are things that we desire apart from God. We should know that one step away from God will equal sorrows for us. And as a result, without God we plan foolish things for ourselves and without God our lives are sad and broken. If you are trying to live your life apart from God, you better stop it today because it is down the drain from there and you will never find peace. This is like that because life apart from God equals suffering.

Mtima wa munthu/A human heart

Mtima wa munthu/A human heart

Mateyu 5:8 ikutithandizira kumvetsetsa lingaliro la malo opangira katundu. Malo opangira katundu ndi komwe tingapezeko akupanga katundu. Ophunzitsa baibulo odziwika wina ananena kuti, mtima wa munthu ndi malo opangira katundu. Koma katundu wake ndi wotani? Komanso adzimupembeza. Koma m’malo mwake munthu akusankha kupembeza mafano. Buku la Mateyu 5:8 tikulimbikitsidwa kuti tilolere mulungu kutipatsa mtima ofuna kupembeza mulungu. Ndipo akutilonjeza kuti iye ndiwopezekeratu. Tsopano tidziwe kuti mawu a mulungu ndi mawu a munthu ndi osiyana. Munthu amalephera kukwaniritsa zomwe alonjeza chifukwa alibe kuthekera. Koma mulungu akalonjeza kwa iye zili chimozimozi kuti zachitika kale, ndi chifukwa tiyenera kumudalira.

Matthew 5:8 helps us to understand the concept of a factory. A factory is a place where goods are produced. One famous bible scholar said that a human heart is a factory. Now, what is it that the human heart is producing? In simple terms a human heart is a factory for idols. A human heart is constantly making new things to worship. But the bible tells us that humans are unique, we were created in the image of God, to Reflect his authority and to be in a relationship with him which is described as worship. But as a result, our corrupted hearts always want to worship idols. We have traded worshiping the one true God to worshiping idols. But the book of Matthew 5:8 is encouraging us to pursue God and promises that we’ll find him and one day we’ll see him in his full glory. Now, the word of God is not like the words of a human being. A human being can make a promise but later on fail to fulfill the promise due to circumstances. But that is not the same with God. When God has promised something, it is as good as done. So, we can trust that he will keep his promises.

Mulungu apulumutsa Loti/God rescues Lot

Mulungu apulumutsa Loti/God rescues Lot

Genesis 19:15-29, mu ndime yamalembayi tikupezamo zinthu zingapo zokhuza mulungu. Mulungu ndi wolungama ndi wangwiro, sadzalora tchimo lipite osalangidwa. Tikuona mulungu akuchita ntchito yake yopereka chiweruzo pamene akuononga Sodom ndi Gomora. Koma potengera poyamba paja, taona Abrahamu akukambirana ndi mulungu kumupempha kuti asawononge mdzukulu wake Loti. Mulungu akusunga pempho la Abrahamu ndipo akupulumutsa Loti. Izi zikutengera kukhalidwe lina la mulungu, ndipo ndilakuti mulungu ndi wachifundo. Ndipo taona kale akupulumutsa Loti ndi banja lake kuchiweruzo. Kodi kudziwa izi kutanthauzanji kwa Akhristu lero? Tiyenera kukhala opanda chikayiko mwa mulungu. Ngakhale mavuto abwera mulungu adzatipulumutsa ife. Tiyeneranso kupempherera ena mu mpingo ngakhale omwe ali ku mayiko akutali.

Genesis 19:15-29, in this passage we see several things about God. The first thing is, God is just and righteous and he will not let sin go unpunished. We see God exercising his just acts when he destroys Sodom and Gomora. But as seen earlier, Abraham enters a conversation with God asking him to spare his nephew Lot in the judgement. God spares Lot and his family in the judgement. This takes us to another attribute of God which is God is gracious, and we see him keep his promise to spare lot and his family. How does knowing this help Christians today? Well, Christians can rest assured when going through bad conditions and can be confident that God will take care of them just fine. It is the responsibility therefore, of each and every Christian to pray for other Christians in the church and in other parts of the world.

kukhala ndi njala yofuna chilungamo /Growing thirsty for righteousness

kukhala ndi njala yofuna chilungamo /Growing thirsty for righteousness

Mateyu 5:6, funso lomveka bwino nali, kodi mumamva ludzu ndi chani? Mukapeza chomwe chapangitsa inu kumva ludzu, ludzulo limatha? Buku la Mateyu 5 ndime ya 6, tikuudzidwa za ludzu lofuna Khristu. Ludzu lofuna chilungamo. Kodi mukumasaka kuti mukhutitsidwe ndi chilungamo? Popeza Yesu akunena kuti, odala ndi omwe amva ludzu la chilungamo popeza adzakhutitsidwa. M’mipingo mwathu tikuyenera kukhala anthu omva ludzu la chilungamo chifukwa ambuye wathu Yesu akukulonjeza kuti tidzakhutitsidwa.

Matthew 5:6, here is a simple question, what makes you thirsty? And after getting what you thirsted for, are you ever quenched of the thirst? In book of Matthew 5 verse 6, we’re told of the thirst for Christ. The thirst for righteousness? Are you seeking to be filled with righteousness? For Jesus says “happy are those thirsting and hungering for righteousness for they will be filled.” In our churches we should be thirsting and hungering for righteousness and Jesus tells us that we will be filled.

Tinalengedwa kuti tizipembedza mulungu/We were created to worship God

Tinalengedwa kuti tizipembedza mulungu/We were created to worship God

Genesis 19:1-14 in this passage we see that the only sin that is making the head lines is homosexuality. Now if we look deeper we would see that many sins are committed. Sins like not being hospitable to the guest who came to Lot’s house, being violent in trying to get a hold of the angelic men but even more the people of Sodom have denied their nature to worship God.  So, God gives them away to all this kind of sins that they are committing. Now this helps us to understand where we are basing our foundation as Christians. We got to be more careful because it is our nature to worship God. If we happen to deny worshiping God, then that means we are choosing to worship something else. And it is obviously termed as idol worshiping which brings about the wrath of God. And as if that is not enough we start to become like the idols that we are worshiping which results into this sin of homosexuality. So, because we have become like animals, we no longer care about what’s right and what’s wrong for that is no longer in our nature. Because we have denied worshiping God.

Genesis 19:1-14 mu ndime ya malembayi tikuona kuti tchimo lomwe lamanga nthenje ndi la kugonana amuna okhaokha komanso akazi okhaokha. Koma tikaonetsetsa mkati bwino lomwe tikupeza kuti machimo ambiri akuchitidwa. Monga ngati kuonetsa kusalandira alendo omwe anabwera ku nyumba ya loti, kuchitira nkhanza alendowa. Koma kuonjezera pamenepo tchimo lalikulu kwambiri limene anthu amumzinda wa Sodomu achita ndi kukana kupembeza mulungu. Ndipo mapeto ake mulungu akuwapereka ku machimo awo. Izi zikuthandizira ife ngati akhristu kudziwa pomwe tikumangira madziko a moyo wathu. Tikuyenera kukhala osamala chifukwa ndi chikhalidwe chathu kupembedza mulungu. Ngati tisankha kukana kupembedza mulungu, ndiyekuti tikusankha kupembedza winawake. Ndipo kutero ndikupembedza mafano, kumene kumabweretsa mkwiyo wa mulungu. Kuonjezera pamenepo timayamba kusandulika kukhala mafano omwe tikupembedzawo ndipo mathero ake ndikuchita zinthu ngati nyama. Nyama zomwe sizisamala chabwino ndi choyipa chifukwa sichikhalidwe chake kutero. Chifukwa takana kupembedza mulungu.

Mtengo wapatali wakukhala ophunzira/The cost of discipleship

Mtengo wapatali wakukhala ophunzira/The cost of discipleship

Mateyu 5:5 kuyankhula mwachidule, chipulumutso ndichaulere. Mwazi wa Yesu Khristu unagula chipulumutso. Timangoyenera kulapa ndi kutembenuka mtima kusiya machimo ndi kukhulupirira uthenga wabwino kuti tilandire chipulumutso. Komabe sizikutanthauza kuti munthu opulumutsidwa samalipira konse, ayi! M’malo mwake amalipira pamene alapa machimo ndi kutembenuka mtima ndi kumutsata Yesu Khristu.

Matthew 5:5 to say in brief, salvation is for free. It was purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ. All we need to do is to repent of our sins and believe the gospel of Jesus and we will have salvation. But of course, it doesn’t mean that there is no cost, the cost is that a believer pays the cost as he turns away from his sins and follow Jesus. For Jesus teaches us in the gospel that we should consider the cost of discipleship. He says that ‘everyone who saves his life will lose it but whoever loses his life will save it for the sake of Jesus Christ.’

Mulungu ndi wabwino ndi wolungama/God is good and righteous

Mulungu ndi wabwino ndi wolungama/God is good and righteous

Genesis 18:16-33 mulungu akuonetsera chilungamo chake pamene anthu akuchita zosutsana naye. Mulungu walinganiza zowononga Sodomu chifukwa cha uchimo wawo koma muzonsezi mulungu akukhalabe olungama. Chifukwa mulungu akuonetsera chilungamo chake mwa Abrahamu, zimene iyeyo ali ngati mulungu kuti iye amadalitsa komanso iye amawononga, iye amatembelera, iye amalanga. Mulungu waonetsera madalitso ake pa Abrahamu pochita naye malonjezo ndi kuwakwaniritsa. Tsopano mulungu akufuna kumuonetsera Abrahamu kuti iye ngati mulungu amalanga onse ochita zoyipa. Kodi ife tikusankha kukondweletsa mulungu kapena zokhumba zathu ndi zomwe zili pa sogolo? Ngati ndi choncho kodi tikudziwa kuti mulungu ndi olungama ndipo sazalora kuti tchimo lipite osalangidwa! Kodi nanga ife tili pati?

Genesis 18:16-33 God shows his great righteousness when people are up against him. God has spoken out the distraction of Sodom because of their great sins and in all of this God remains righteous. God demonstrates his righteousness through Abraham that he blesses, judges and he also curses and he punishes. God has shown his blessings through Abraham by making promises with him and fulfilling them. And now God wants to show Abraham that he punishes those who do sin. Are we choosing to please God or are we putting ourselves in the front? If that’s so, did we know that God is righteous and that he will never let sin go unpunished? Now, where are we found?

Khalani ophunzira weniweni wa Yesu Khristu/Be a true disciple of Jesus Christ

Khalani ophunzira weniweni wa Yesu Khristu/Be a true disciple of Jesus Christ

Mateyu 5:1-3 ndime zamalemba izi ndi zofunika kwambiri kuwunikirana chifukwa ndi gawo limodzi la chiphunzitso chotchuka cha Yesu. Phunziro limene likupezeka mu ndime za malembazi ndi lakuti uthakukhala Nkhristu koma osakhala Nkhristu weniweni. Nkhani siyongopezeka ku malo opembedzera mulungu tsiku la mulungu kapena loweruka koma makamaka kukhala otsatira kapena ophunzira weniweni wa Yesu ngakhale masiku ena onse. Tiyenera kukhala anthu amene tapereka moyo wanthu wonse kwa Yesu , osati maola awiri okha tsiku la sabata lokha ayi koma mphindi iliyonse ya moyo.

Matthew 5:1-3 These passages are important to discuss them because they are part of the famous teachings of Jesus Christ called the sermon on the mountain. And part of the lessons of this teaching tells us that you can be a Christian but really not being a Christian. It isn't just about being present at church every Sunday or Saturday and committing your two hour time but it's really about being a true follower of Jesus. It means every minute of your life is committed to being a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Mulungu ndi odziwa zonse ndi wamphamvu/God is all knowing and all powerful

Mulungu ndi odziwa zonse ndi wamphamvu/God is all knowing and all powerful

Genesis 18:1-15 Kodi pali chimene ndi chokanika kwa mulungu? Akhristu nthawi zina timayetsedwa kuganiza kuti tili ndi kuthekera komuuza mulungu zomwe iye samadziwa. Koma kodi izi ndi zotheka? M'buku la Genesis 18 likutionetsera kuti mulungu ndi odziwa zonse ndi wamphamvu. Zonse zimene Abrahamu ndi Sara akudutsa ndi njira imene mulungu wayika kuti awiriwa amudziwe mulungu. Mulungu akudziwa pamene Sara anaseka mulungu atanena kuti azakhala ndi mwana ngakhale Sara sanali pafupi ndi ambuye omwe anabwera kwa Abrahamu ndi angelo awiri. Ndi mavuto anji, ndi mtenda yanji kapena ndi chiyani chikusowetsa mtendere moyo wanu? Dziwani kuti zonsezi timadutsa ndi cholinga choti mulungu adzivumbulutse yekha kwa ife momwe anachitira ndi Abrahamu. Kodi inu mudalira mulungu?

Genesis 18:1-15 Is anything impossible for God? Christians sometimes are tempted to think that they can tell God what they think he doesn't know about them. Is that even possible? Genesis 18 tells us that God is all knowing and all powerful. All that Abraham and Sarah are going through is for them to know God. God is aware when Sarah laughs after he had said that she will have a baby even though Sarah wasn't there with them. All the circumstances that these two are facing are there to help them know God and trust him. What problems are you facing, what diseases are battling, know that through it all God wants us to know him. So! Will you trust him?

Mulungu adalitsa Sara/God blesses Sarah

Mulungu adalitsa Sara/God blesses Sarah

Genesis 17:15-27, nthawi yayitali yadutsa Abrahamu wakula mopyola muyezo wobereka mwana ngakhalenso mkazi wake Sara. Mulungu akudalitsa Sara ndipo akuumuza Abrahamu kuti Sara azakhala ndi mwana yemwe azamutcha dzina lake Isake. Mulungu ndi wokhulupirika ndipo akusunga malonjezo ake. Izi zimaonekabe zosamvesetsa kwa Abrahamu chifukwa iye ndi mkazi wake anali atadutsa zaka zoberekera ana. Apa ndi pamene ife Akhristu tikuyenera kumvetsetsa bwino lomwe kunena kuti mulungu amapanga zimene munthu sangakwaniritse nkomwe. Izi ziyenera kutilimbikitsa ife kukhalabe nchoonadi ngakhale mavuto achuluke popeza mulungu wathu amachita zimene munthu sangathe choncho azatilimbikitsa mpaka Yesu azabwere.

Genesis 17:15-27, time has passed and Abraham has passed the age of bearing a child and so is his wife. God blesses Sarah and tells Abraham that Sarah will have a child by this time next year and they will name him Isaac. God is faithful and he keeps his promises. This still seemed impossible to Abraham and Sarah because they had passed the age of bearing a child. Now this is where Christians must learn a very good lesson knowing that God is faithful and he keeps his promises, this assures us all that he will keep us strong until the coming of Jesus the second time. Even when fears are stilled we can be confident and remain in the truth.

Pangano la mdulidwe/Covenant Circumcision

Pangano la mdulidwe/Covenant Circumcision

Genesis 17:1-14 mu pangano la mdulidwe mukupezeka zinthu zingapo zomwe ndi zofunika kuzimvetsetsa. Abusa a Hutchens akufotokozera bwino lomwe za pangano limeneli. Izi zili choncho popeza kuti wansembe ndi yemwe amalandira mdulidwe molingana ndi ntchitoyi. Mdulidwe ukulodzera kufunika kochita mdulidwe mitima yanthu. Pangano la mdulidwe lomwe mulungu anachita ndi Abrahamu ndi mlozo wa ife akhrisitu kuti tiyenera kukana matupi anthu awuchimo.

Genesis 17:1-14, in the covenant circumcision are important things that needs to be understood. Pastor Hutchens takes us through these important things. Covenant circumcision is one part that acts as a sign that confirms that the seed will come through Abraham. This also agrees to the changing of Abram's name to Abraham which means the father of many. This circumcision is also a sign showing that Abraham is a priest. Because in those days only a pastor was the one circumcised in order to serve as a priest. The covenant is also a reminder that we Christians have the need to circumcise our hearts. We need to deny our sinful bodies and put on a new heart .

Malankhulidwe a Pemphero/The language of Prayer

Malankhulidwe a Pemphero/The language of Prayer

Masalimo 5:1-12, Abusa a Dallas Goebel afokozera bwino za malankhulidwe a pemphero. Abusa a Dallas alongosora pogwiritsa ntchito Buku la Masalimo chaputa 5. Kufotokoza mwachidule, mayankhulidwe a pemphero ayenera kukhala motere; Pemphero liyenera kukhala ndi cholinga, pemphero liyenera kudzindikira kuti mulungu ndi olungama ndipo amalanga anthu omwe ndi ochimwa, pemphero liyenera kukamba za matemberero omwe amabwera chifukwa chamachimo, ndipo pempherero liyenera kuyankhula ndi kulengeza za madalitso a mulungu pa anthu ake olungama. Nkhrisitu ayenera kulingalira pemphero lake asanalipereke kwa mulungu. Ndipo ayenera kulingalira mogwirizana ndi malemba.

Psalm 5:1-12, Pastor Dallas Goebel teaches about the language of prayer. Pastor Dallas explains this from the book of Psalm chapter 5. In brief, a prayer should have the following; Prayer should be deliberate and intentional, prayer should recognize that God is righteous and he punishes sin along with those who do it, prayer should recognize the curses which come because of sin, and prayer should declare and recognize blessings of God upon those who love and fear him. A Christian should think about his/her prayer before offering it before God. And he/she should think about this biblically.

Mulungu achitira chifundo Abrahamu/God shows mercy to Abraham

Mulungu achitira chifundo Abrahamu/God shows mercy to Abraham

Genesis 16:1-16, Abusa a Dzimbiri afotokoza momveka bwino za chifundo cha mulungu pa anthu ake pamene amulakwira. Buku la Genesis 16 mukupezeka nkhani imene mathero ake akuonetsera kulephera kwa Abrahamu m'banja mwake. A Dzimbiri akuonjezeranso kunena kuti; kumvera mkazi wako ndi chinthu chabwino koma pokhapokha ngati ayankhula zogwirizana ndi wam'mwambamwamba.

Genesis 16:1-16, Pastor Dzimbiri explains really well about the grace of God upon his people in the midst of their mistakes. Genesis chapter 16 has a story that ends by exposing the mistake that Abraham did. This is shown when Sarai tells Abraham that he should marry another woman so as to have a child which was against the promises of God. Abraham listened to his wife's voice and did what was bad. This reminds us of the garden of Eden where Adam listened to his wife's voice and did what was bad. But though that is what happens, God pours down his grace upon Abraham. Same with us today Christians, we make mistakes in many ways and we feel frustrated. But the grace of God should give us the strength to confess our sins and repent and follow Jesus. Pastor Dzimbiri adds; listening to your wife is a good thing but only when she speaks what is in line with God most high

Mulungu achita ubale ndi munthu/ God enters into a relationship with a man

Genesis 15:7-21, Abusa a Hutchens akutitengera mukumvetsetsa gawo lomaliza la chaputa chimenechi cha bukuli. Abusa a Hutchens akukamba za chinthu chokoma chomwe chikupezeka mu nkhaniyi. Mulungu achita ubale ndi munthu. Iye akuchita izi kudzera mupangano limene achita ndi Abrahamu. Pangano limene mathero ake ndi imfa kusanduka cholekanitsa. Phunziro: Mulungu wamwambamwamba ndi wachikondi, wolungama, wachifundo ndi wokhulupirika pa malonjezano ake. Amalungamitsa anthu onse omwe amakhulupirira iye kudzera mwa Yesu Khristu. Motero tiyenera kusataya chikhulupiriro chathu mwa mulungu chifukwa ndi kudzera mwa Yesu Khristu mulungu amakwaniritsa malonjezo ake.

Genesis 15:7-21, Pastor Hutchens takes us through understanding the last part of the chapter of this book. Pastor Hutchens talks about something incredible that God does to Abram and that is God enters a relationship with him. God does so through the covenant that he make with Abram. And this covenant can only be ended by death. The conversation there was between God and Abram, God reminds Abram of his promises. And Abram puts faith in the promises of God and it was credited to him as righteousness. Lesson: God most high is loving, full of just, full of grace and is faithful to his promises. He credits righteousness to his people on the basis of faith. And so we must trust and put faith in God's promises because it is through Jesus Christ that God fulfills his promises.

Kukhulupirika kwa Malonjezo a Mulungu/The Faithfulness of God's Promises

Kukhulupirika kwa Malonjezo a Mulungu/The Faithfulness of God's Promises

Genesis 15:1-6, Abusa a Watch akutitengera mukumvetsetsa kwa gawo loyamba la chaputa chimenechi. Abusa a Watch akulongosola bwino lomwe za kudalira ndi kukhulupirira malonjezo a mulungu pogwiritsa ntchito chithunzi cha Abramu mu nkhaniyi. Mulungu wathandiza Abramu kugonjetsa magulu ankhondo ndipo mapeto ake mulungu akuyankhulana ndi Abramu kudzera m'masomphenya. Mulungu akumuuza Abramu kuti asaope popeza iye ndi chishango chake. Koma Abramu ali ndi chikayiko makamaka pa malonjezo a mulungu onena kuti iye azakhala tate wa dziko lonse. Izi ndi zomvetsetseka kwa Abramu popeza anali akukalamba koma opanda mwana. Mulungu achita pangano lake ndi Abramu. Abramu akhulupirira mulungu. Phunziro: Mulungu analonjeza, akulonjeza chipulumutso kwa anthu onse omukhulupirira iye kudzera mwa Yesu Khristu ndipo ife ngati akhristu tiyenera kudalira ndi kukhulupirira malonjezano ake a mulungu.

Genesis 15:1-6, Pastor Watch takes us through the first part of this chapter of the book. Pastor Watch explains clearly about trusting and putting faith in God's promises. And he does so by looking into the life of Abram. God has helped Abram win the battle against many kings and finally appears to him in a vision. God tells Abram not to be afraid for God is his shield and reward. But Abram lose heart looking at his age knowing that he has no child and yet he is to be the father of many nations. God reassures Abram of his promises and he put faith. This was counted to him as righteousness. Lesson: God promised, is promising salvation to all the people who put faith in him through Jesus Christ. And we as Christians are to trust and put faith in the promises of God.

Kodi mukutsatira Yesu Khristu?/Are you following Jesus Christ?

Kodi mukutsatira Yesu Khristu?/Are you following Jesus Christ?

Abusa a Justin alongosola momveka bwino pogwiritsa ntchito ndime za malemba zosiyanasiaya kulimbikitsa Akhristu kuti apitilize kutsatira Yesu Khristu pa moyo wawo wa tsiku ndi tsiku. Popeza tinayitanidwa kukhala okhulupirira ake a Yesu ndi otsatira akenso.

Pastor Justin explains very well different passages in the bible encouraging Christians to continue following Jesus Christ in their every day living. This pastor uses a series of questions to help make the point. And one of the most decorated questions is; How are we known as Christians? Are we able to stand out as true Christians? For we were called to believe and follow Jesus Christ.

Timapembedza mulungu chifukwa chiyani?/Why do we worship God?

Genesis 14:16-24 mu chaputa cha bukuli abusa a Joshua Hutchens afunsa mafunso ophweka kumvetsa koma ovuta kuyankha. Izi achita ndi cholinga chofuna kuthandiza kumvetsetsa ndime ya malemba imeneyi. Mafunso ali motere; Ndi chifukwa chiyani timapembeza mulungu? Ndi chifukwa chiyani timapereka chuma chathu kwa mulungu? Ndi chifukwa chiyani timakhala moyo wa khristu okhulupirika? Yankho la mafunso awa lithandiza kumvetsa bwino ndime imeneyi. Uthenga omwe ukupezeka mu ndime imeneyi ndi ofanana ndi wa mu gawo loyamba la chaputa ichi. Mulungu amatipumulutsa kumachimo athu kudzera mwa mfumu yozichepetsa Yesu Khristu. Ndipo tikuonanso kuti mulungu akapanga malonjezo ake ndi iye mwini amakwaniritsa. Motero kuti timapebedza mulungu chifukwa cha ukulu wake ndi ubwino wa Yesu Khristu.

Genesis 14:16-24 in this chapter pastor Joshua Hutchens asks simple questions but hard to answer in order to help understand this passage. And the questions are as follows; Why do we worship God? Why do we give our offerings to God? Why do we live a life of a faithful Christian? The answer to these questions would help in understanding this passage. The message in this chapter is the same as that in the first part of this chapter and that is God rescues us from our sins through a humble king Jesus Christ. And we see God making his promises to Abraham and at the same time he is the one who fulfills them. Many things can be said about this passage. And finally we worship God because of his greatness and the goodness of Jesus Christ.

Yesu mfumu yozichepetsa/Jesus the humble king

Genesis 14:1-16 Bukuli likupitiriza kukhala ulosi komanso nzeru. Mu mavesi amenewa mulungu akutionetsera za mfumu imene ikubwera kudzera mwa Abramu. Abramu apulumutsa Loti monga mfumu ichitira ngakhale sakutionetsera Abramu ngati mfumu.

Genesis 14:1-16 This book remains for us a prophecy and wisdom. In these verses God is showing us of a king who is coming but is a humble king and is coming to rescue his people from sin and death. And through Abram this picture is made clear as we see Abram rescuing Lot even though he is never addressed as king.

Kukhala moyo osogozedwa ndi mzimu woyera/Living by the spirit

Genesis 13:1-18 Abramu wapeza chuma chambiri chimene chikumupanga kukhala munthu wolemera kwambiri. Abramu anabwerera kumalo kumene anamanga tenti komanso guwa lansembe ndipo analambira mulungu. Abramu alambilanso Mulungu kuonetsera kudzipereka kwake kwa mulungu. Abramu ndi Loti anapeza chuma chambiri ndipo ogwira ntchito awo anayamba kukangana. Pamenepo Abramu anathetsa nkangano umenewu popereka mwayi kwa Loti kuti asankhe malo amene iye anawakonda, iye anasankha malo omwe anali kunja kwa malonjezo a mulungu. Pamenepa ife ngati akhristu tiyenera kukhala osamalitsa pamene tikupanga chisankho pa nkhani yokhuza malonjezo a mulungu pa anthu ake. Mulungu anatilonjeza moyo wosatha kudzera mwa Yesu Khristu, tiyenera kulorera mzimu woyera kuti atitsogolere momwe anamutsogolera Abramu kukhala okhadzikika mu malonjezo a Mulungu.

Genesis 13:1-18 Abram has accumulated a lot of wealth that is now making him a rich man. Abram returned to the place he first got when he reached the land of Canaan and built an altar for God and he worshipped him there once more and he dedicated himself to God again. Abram and Lot accumulated so much wealth and that brought in arguments between the workers. Abram settled the dispute and gave Lot a chance to choose a place for himself and he chose the land that was outside God's promises. As christians we need to understand that we have a promise through Jesus Christ. So we need to stay firm and allow the Holy spirit lead us and help us to remain in God's promises just as he did with Abram.

Kukhala okhadzikika m'malonjezo a Mulungu/Remain firm in God's promises

Kukhala okhadzikika m'malonjezo a Mulungu/Remain firm in God's promises

Genesis 12:10-20, pamene njala inagwera dziko la caanani Abramu anapita ku dziko la Igupto. Panalibe ganizo limodzi pakati pake lofuna kubwerera komwe anachokera kuti akapeze chakudya koma anapita ku dziko lowandikana nalo. Ngakhale anatulutsidwa chifukwa cha bodza iye sanalunjike kubwerera kwawo koma anabwerera ku Caanani komwe Mulungu anamuyitanira. Phunziro; Abramu ngakhale anakumana ndi mavuta a njala, iye sanaganizire zofuna kubwerera ku dziko lakwawo koma anakhadzikika mu malonjezo a mulungu omwe anali dziko la Caanani lomwe anamulonjeza. Ife ngati akhristu tikuyenera kukhala okhadzikika mu malonjezo a mulungu omwe anatilonjeza mwa Yesu Khristu.

Genesis 12:10-20, when there was famine in the land of Canaan, Abram went to the land of Egypt. He had no thought of going back to his homeland but instead went to a neighbouring country. Even though he was chased out of the land, he still returned to the land of which God gave the promise "to your offspring I will give this land." Lesson; Abram despite the challenge of famine in the land of Canaan, remained firm in God's promises. This should be the same with us christians today. We should learn to trust in God's promises that he has given through Jesus Christ.

Mbewu ya mzimayi(mwa mkazi wa Abrahamu)/The seed of a Woman(coming through Abraham's wife)

Izi zikutilimbikitsa ife monga akhristu kuti tili ndi mulungu amene amasunga malonjezo ake. Mulungu analonjeza moyo wosatha mwa Yesu Khristu ndipo amawupereka kwa onse omwe atembenuka mtima ndi kusata Yesu.

Genesis 12:4-8, God keeps his promise. When Adam sinned against God and was banished, God promised crashing the head of the serpent through the seed of a woman. When God promised Abraham a nation, he did so through a barren woman. This woman was a wife to Abraham and gave birth to a child of barren. The life of Jesus on earth tells us that his relatives came from that child. This is only encouraging us christians that we have a God who cares and keeps his promises. We are confident in his promises.

Mayitanidwe a Abrahamu/The calling of Abraham

Mulungu walonjeza moyo wosatha mwa Yesu Khristu, Kodi ife tili okonzeka kulandira moyowu?

Genesis 12:1-3, God is calling Abraham who was coming from a place of idol worshiping. God calls Abraham who could offer God nothing and God made everlasting promises to him and to his offspring. Abraham put faith in God and his promises and it was counted righteous to him. Today christians have the same opportunities of adhering to God's calling, but still, are ready to leave everything behind and follow him?

1 John 5:16-17 in the church, when a member has committed a sin it is the responsibility of the fellow brothers and sisters to help this member to repent and turn to God again. As a church, the body of Christ we kindly correct a brother or sister who has committed such sin in the church and help them to repent and turn to God again. We do this so lovingly to show that we care about them and we want them to repent and turn to God to continue receiving God's love.

1 John 5:18-21 the book of 1 John ends with a reminder to us all of all the things it talks about. A person who loves God does not continue in sin. Children of God are recognised through there works and in this book we are given all the things as tools for that job. And its through that knowledge one has the confidence of eternal life.

1 John 5:14-15 when you are saved through faith in Jesus Christ, you become confident that you have eternal life. This confidence in eternal life gives you the assurance of prayer. The God we worship can truly answer prayers and does truly answer prayers. But confidence in eternal life and assurance in prayer truly work together, because its only you have confidence in eternal life can you then be assured that your prayers will be answered.

Mateyu 16:5-18 Yesu atafunsa ophunzira ake kuti iwo amati Yesu ndi ndani, Petro anayankha kuti "inu ndi Khristu mwana wa Mulungu wa moyo."Ndipo ulendo wa Petro oyenda ndi Khristu unayambika. Matthew 16:5-18 Jesus posed a question to his disciples, he asked "who do you say that I am?" Peter answered without any hesitation that 'you are Christ the son of the living God.' As christians today we should be able to answer that question when its posed to us as well. We confidently say that Jesus is the Messiah, truly God and truly man and he the lord and saviour of our lives.

Umboni wa Mulungu/God's Testimony

1 Yohane 5:6-13 uthenga wabwino omwe Yohane wakhala akulongosola mu buku la 1 Yohane, wakambidwa bwino mu chaputa cha chisanu. 1 John 5:6-13 the message that John has spoken throughout the whole book of 1 John is clearly explained in chapter 5. The almighty God who sits enthroned gives his testimony of his son being fully Human and fully God. God has done this in three ways. The first way is through the water of Jesus' baptism, his blood at the cross, and the spirit. The second way is through the choice we make realising that God can never lie but that he is the truth. In that sense we believe in all that God tells us because it's true. The third way is through the salvation he gives through his son Jesus Christ who is fully Man and fully God.
