In this week's episode we are chatting all things introvert. Are you an introvert or maybe not entirely sure? Well this episode is going to help you, if you recognise yourself. Introverts can often mistake their tendencies for social shyness or social anxiety and whilst yes, it can be an anxious experience, it's not necessarily a bad thing.
Introverts simply have a different nervous system setting and we need to honour that for optimum health!

Episode 19 - Toxic Health Culture
Toxic Health Culture is the damaging extremes that clever marketing has pushed us to. We are "sold" solutions that prey on our fears and give us false hope. Toxic health culture is all about fear and hope in equal measure - teas to help us lose weight and products that promise us fast weight loss.

What is destroying our topsoil and environment is the mass production of mono crops. They destroy biodiversity above and below the soil. When cows eat grass, just like they do in the wild, they cause the grass to dump carbon into the soil. This is because the grass has a symbiotic relationship with the soil fungus, providing it with sugar - a 6-carbon molecule - in exchange for micronutrients. This means that the grass is sequestering carbon from the atmosphere and creating up to a foot of topsoil/year. If the earth's grasslands were covered in cattle, it would completely reverse climate change in our lifetime.

About Joan:
Joan is a spiritual guide, healer and teacher. She is one of a new wave of conscious spiritual leaders and way-showers, here to usher in a brand new way of living in partnership with Spirit.
Joan is passionate about helping those awakening to deeply connect to their own intuition and spiritual teams. As we slide into Autumn here in the Northern Hemisphere I love the cosy evenings, the hot drinks and wrapping up in soft scarves. It's also time to put care of yourself at the top of your list. Especially if you have issues with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and suffer from low mood as the light fades earlier in the day, it's time to top up your care.

Episode 7 - Cultural clashes in marriage
This was a fun episode to make! My husband is Italian and I am Irish. Both being white Europeans you wouldn't expect many cultural clashes but there have been some whopper arguments over the years. Last year, during management training, Fabio (the Italian husband) discovered why we seemed to end up arguing about nothing. Low context and high context cultures.

Episode 1 - Introduction to the Podcast
Welcome to episode 1! I am here to disrupt self improvement and stop the toxic positivity movement of "just think happy thoughts". Nope we're not about that here. I am here to give women everywhere the tools and strategies to get out of their own way. Tackling self sabotage and self limiting beliefs with actionable steps to make real differences. You're not going to be told to meditate or journal your way to happiness, although I am a fan of both. Join me on this journey to real change free from toxic positivity.
