24: How to stop justifying excuses so you can get on with living

Chur Whanau
In this episode, we just take the bull by the horns and tackle the topic of excuses.
The reason why is because we see so many people including ourselves making up excuses for why we don't have what we want or why we aren't getting the results we want. So we just have a good korero about this and how we take on our excuses.
In this episode, you will learn:

13: You are the average...

13: You are the average...

Chur whanau
In this episode, we talk in-depth about a quote taken from my brand new book "The Chur Maori Way".
In this episode, you will learn the:
The number one thing to identify who is actually helping you achieve your mission.
How to spend less time with people that are holding you back.
The best places to get around go-getters that skyrocket your motivation.
Wills top 3 people to hang around with.
and much much more...
Here's the snippet.
You Are The Average
A wise man named Jim Rohn said: “You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with”.
What this means is, you will have the average of what your 5 closest people have.
This will include everything. Your energy, your bank balance, your education, your relationship, your health. These 5 people could be your family. Your best friend, your partner, your children, your boss, your co-workers.
Look around you, look at your life. What you have will be the average of them combined. The big question is, do they have what you want? Are they supportive of you climbing your mountain to reach your treasure? How do you know if someone is the right person to be around?

12: Who else wants more Money Mohio?

12: Who else wants more Money Mohio?

Chur whanau
In this episode, we share a small part of Chapter 14 Money Mohio from my New book "The Chur Maori Way".
We discuss plenty when it comes to;
What money mohio is and how you want to understand it more.
Your money Blueprint and where it all begins.
Relationships and money and what you need to do to keep your family strong when it comes to money.
Cool things we have learnt about money and where they stem from
The super simple and easy method anyone can do to start building an abundance mindset.
Maxim around money and much much more...
Here's the small snippet I read from the book
Money Mōhio
What's your relationship with money like?
Do you know? How do you feel when money issues pop up? Do you get depressed or excited?
If you're not sure what your relationship with money looks like then look at your life! Open your wallet, look at your bank account. That will tell you a good story. Is your life controlled by money or do you control money?
Hey, I want to let you know it’s not your fault and this quote from Jen Sincero and her book “You Are A Badass At Making Money” sums it up perfectly.
“When it comes to having sex and making money, your supposed to know what you’re doing and be all great at it. But nobody teaches you anything about it and you're never supposed to talk about it because it's inappropriate, dirty, not so classy.”~Jen Sincero
Let’s talk about money. Let’s make it a topic that’s ok to talk about. Let’s make it a topic that's really cool to talk about and not so tapu. Let’s face it, we need to get a grasp of if we want to have a successful life.
Whakataukī (Primal Māori Maxim)
Na te whakaaro ka puta mai te tangata
The thought creates the person ~ Ngahi Bidios
Here is an awesome Primal Māori Maxim from Ngahi Bidios. It sums up perfectly how our thoughts create our reality. This is so true when it comes to money. Our thoughts about money create the person and manifest into reality.
What is Moni Mōhio?
Well, we all know that moni is money. And the Māori dictionary translation for mōhio is;
(experience verb) to know, understand, realise comprehend, recognise.
(modifier) be accustomed, known, skilful, wise, intelligent, clever, bright.
(noun) knowledge, wisdom, clever person, knowledgeable person, expert
So to have Moni Mōhio you would be a person who is knowledge- able, clever and skilful with money. You need to have 3 areas of expertise. How to get it, how to manage it and how to grow it. There are plenty of experts who have written fantastic books on how to do this. However, I will focus more on mindset and how to get it.
Money Blocks They Don’t Want You to Know About
Before we get into the meat and potatoes, the best thing to help
you get ahead is to talk about what’s blocking you. To be more
specific, what’s blocking the flow of money entering your life. Are you ready? Ok, then let’s get started...
Money Blocks stem from our upbringing. Subconsciously we pick them up from the smallest things. Mum and Dad fighting about who’s spending money on what. The day you lost your lunch money. The people you were raised with and their attitudes towards money. We can’t afford it! Money doesn’t grow on trees! Stop asking! You think I’m made out of money? Ask your father! We have all heard sayings like this or overheard conversations and maybe even said them yourself. With that being said...
Let me be clear on this first point.
“Your past doesn’t determine your future.
You are not your past experiences. You are a working piece of art. Like a samurai sword is forged and folded thousands of times in the furnace to become unbreakable. You can also be folded and forged to become a money-making machine. It doesn’t matter that you lost your lunch money, or what your parents may have said. That’s the past. What matters is where you focus. That’s the future.

10: The One Thing No One Wants To Talk About

10: The One Thing No One Wants To Talk About

Kia ora e te whanau.
In this episode, we talk about a post on social media we wrote a few weeks back. It's one that most people love to accept and others run for the hills when they see it coming.
Heres the Post...
The key ingredient for success that no-one wants to talk about...
Everyone loves to talk about grinding it out, burning the midnight oil, taking action and how hard you gotta work because it's hard and that's how you get ahead.
They are all valid and good reasons but the one ingredient no one likes to talk about is
Drum roll ....🥁 🥁🥁
Responsibility...
I see a few of ya switching off already...
For those of you still reading here's the takeaway...
Accept that you are responsible for everything in your life...
Meaning you are responsible for,
The good...
The bad...
The fortune and misfortune 🔮
The 5 and 1 star 🌟 reviews...
Your bank count balance
It's all your responsibility...
Responsibility is a beautiful thing...
Responsibility is power disguised as a terd 💩...
Once you see it for what it can do for you watch your opportunities open up.
So when the 💩 hits the fan...
Accept it was your fault...
Work through it...
And watch yourself streak ahead of the competition.
