Episode 62 - Stock Watch
Today we’re trying something a little different. For a long time, we’ve been talking about the Hollywood stock we’ve bought, how it turned out, and whose future we’d invest in today. Our inescapable hubris made us believe you’d like to hear that conversation, so HERE IT IS! You’re gonna hear names like Skeet Ulrich and James Purefoy (busts), Rosario Dawson and Anna Kendrick (stocks we’ll never sell), and Anya Taylor-Joy and Jonathan Majors (blue chip, first round picks). This episode is essentially a long list (although we had hundreds more) of people we love, no matter what category they’re in. Get ready for a dose of nostalgia for those we love, sadness for those who don’t seem to be coming back, hope for the return of old favorites, and giddy optimism for the next generation. Also, you’ll get to follow the results of our futures draft!!

Listen for Jedd coming in with an extremely hot take right out of the gate and listen closely for when Cole compares himself to Elizabeth Berridge. Episode 57 - Take Me Home Tonight
"Tonight we're not thinking -- just doing." Let's travel back to the 80's to celebrate this film that was made in 2007 but released in 2011! We feel this gem went under the radar and judging by the box office we're not wrong. Join us as we cover all things Fogler, Grace, Faris and Pratt. We love an homage when it's done right and this film gets it right. All the way down to the "boyeeee" dance battle. The soundtrack is also rad. If you're a fan of '80s movies or a fan of laughing or just looking for something to do while you hold GME all the way to the moon, then you'll for sure enjoy this one. See you at Suncoast.

"THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING!!" - Jedd is back and we do a quick burn on one of the most anticipated movies of the year, Aaron Sorkin's Trial of the Chicago 7. This is a fascinating look at one of the most important moments in modern history as it moves back and forth between the events that led to the protest and riots of the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago and the bizarre trial that followed. Episode 48 - Happy Accidents
Today’s episode is an experimental journey through “Happy Accidents”, the 2000 Marisa Tomei/Vincent D’Onofrio romance. We mixed it up a bit and tried to have some fun with this off-beat, often bad, always bizarre time-travel romantic comedy. Cole watched the first half; Jedd watched the second and we then recorded our guesses as to what happened. Spoiler alert – Cole had no idea. We had a blast trying to dissect where this script was going and what could have been changed to make it work.

This film has so much subtley and layers and subtext and philosophical conundrums and...who are we kidding this film is all about kicking ass, monster trucks, explosions and hot women!! It has everything you would want in a film about a legendary cooler and the bouncers he manages and the sadistic ruler of pretty small town. We had a blast with this one and hope you enjoy.

"Deep Fuckin Shit!!!" On this episode Cole and Jedd manage to escape their self quarantine for a little bit and do a deep dive on the classic movie Outbreak. A ridiculous plot, the worst performance D-Hoff has ever done and of course, McDreamy eating a cookie. So join Cole and Jedd as they "Yank and Bank" through Outbreak and hopefully provide a much needed escape during these crazy times. Episode 29 - Phenomenon
"You felt it didn't you?" This week Jedd goes on an expedition to discover all things Phenomenon. He does a quick recap of John Travolta's career including the highs and the many many lows. He also gives his take on the best types of characters for Travolta to play. Shockingly, tough guy isn't one of them. Listen closely and you can hear the special guest on this episode Gracie the Cat. She's a big fan of Mr. Travolta but her favorite actor is Christopher Plummer. She's got great taste. Cole sat this episode out so be forewarned that this is about an hour of only Jedd and yes, Teen Wolf somehow makes it on this episode. So sit back, relax and enjoy the 1996 classic that has it all: telekinesis, genius, telekinesis, automotive repair, telekinesis, rage gardening, telekinesis, uncomfortable chairs and of course, telekinesis. If you guessed Bruce McGill for the My Cousin Vinny episode then you deserve to be a Timecop.

Episode 28 - My Cousin Vinny
“I-----DENTICAL” – For all you Yutes out there, this is the episode for you. Today we’re talking about “My Cousin Vinny”, a film so perfect we decide to forgive (only a little) how much we hate Stan. Enjoy while Jedd explains the perfection of Marisa Tomei, Cole does a few legal briefs, and we both walk you through every frame of this Joe Pesci classic. We’ve got love for Lane Smith, Ralph Macchio’s pitch perfect performance ("Ma!"), Austin Pendleton stealing the show, southern grits, and magician’s costumes. If you were one of the many who guessed Gabriel Anwar on “The American President”, then you have officially signed the petition to get Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken 2 off the ground. (There is no petition, but I’d watch it).

Episode 26 - The American President
“I’m Andrew Shepherd and I AM the President” Podcast favorite Erin from Heaving Bosoms joins Cole to talk about one of their all-time favorites, “The American President”. This film has it all – prime Rob Reiner, young Aaron Sorkin, the second coming of sexy Michael Douglas, perfect Annette Bening, and hair….serious hair. The more we talked about it, the better this film got. Great score, wonderful performances, wit and humor, romance, and a Christmas-carol singing Richard Dreyfuss. Don’t miss Erin’s obsession with Erik von Detten, sexy Presidents, and why she thinks Col. Jessep is the hero of “A Few Good Men”. Also, it turns out Cole is better than Chris Pine at exactly one thing. If you guessed Michael Biehn (as so many of you did) on the last episode, then this lunger is your Huckleberry.
