Femme Fatale February: Gilda (1946)
She slides into my office and shuts the door.  Wearing a tight black dress with lips as red as hell.  I knew that this could mean trouble but I didn't mind.  She introduced herself and said she had a podcast called In Bed with Nikky.  I ask if I can take her coat and she obliges. Pointing to a chair for her to sit, I ask if I can make her a drink.  She smiles and says that would be a nice treat while she watches.  Nikky tells me she loves to watch.  I can feel myself getting very nervous when I ask what what does she like to watch.  She replies ever so gently but strong too, movies.  She loves to watch movies and she really enjoys it when others watch with her.  So I make myself a drink and join her to watch and discuss the film noir. Gilda (1946) starring Rita Hayworth This is the last in our Femme Fatale February series and it's been an absolute blast having all the amazing guests who have appear this month.  Please go back and listen to past episodes if you haven't already Sponsor Grammarly Ads by Reel Spoilers InSession Film

It's October so that means it's a good time to look at some horror movies.  Now right away I can hear you screaming that this is a drama and in no way a horror flick.  I assure you it has all the tropes associated with the genre and belongs with all the classics.   Starring Natalie Portman as a ballerina who looses her mind in her obsession to be perfect. Black Swan had a lot of critical praise including Portman who took home the Oscar for best actress in 2010.   Yet there is so much to love about this movie and in my opinion it's one of director Darren Aaronofsky's best films he has ever made.  Listen to Vern explain that even after 10 years, the movie still holds up Ads By Four's a Crowd That Song From That Movie Shoutouts to Moviedrone Shooting The Shit Sponsor Grasshopper Virtual Business Phone Service
