1917 is a Beautiful Film
SPOILER WARNING: We will be spoiling a couple of important plot points in this episode. Please see the movie first, if you care about spoilers. We dive into a more current film this month, because 1917 (2019) is such a beautiful and impactful film that we just had to talk about it. A war movie, a character driven story about friendship, and personal story that takes place within a war. Powerful and well crafted writing, devotion to detail in production design, brilliant technical achievements in cinematography, this film has it all. We also pontificate on some potential Oscar outcomes, Congratulations to Bong Joon Ho and Parasite for Best Picture win, it was certainly well earned.
