She serves as a Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee Member for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and is a registered practitioner of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB). Previously, Surbhi lead security teams at First Republic Bank and Ernst Young.

On this episode of CISO to CISO we would like to welcome Rohit Parchuri, CISO at Collective Health, previously a security leader at Service Now and Rackspace. Rohit is an accomplished Security leader with an established record building, structuring and institutionalizing Security principles and disciplines in the Cloud Hosting, Network hardware(IaaS), Cloud Software(Saas & PaaS), and Healthcare domains. He is currently leading the enterprise security program at Collective Health, a health administration platform for self-funded employers. Previously Rohit spent a decade focused on the Network Security, Application Security, and Security operations domains at software and hardware giants such as ServiceNow and Rackspace.

Yassir Abousselham joined Splunk in January, where he is responsible to protect company systems and the data entrusted by its employees, customers, and investors. Prior to Splunk, Yassir served as Chief Security Officer at Okta and Chief Information Security Officer at SoFi, in addition to holding various security leadership roles at Google and Ernst & Young. Yassir holds two U.S. patents in trusted network communication and is an active member in the cybersecurity industry, from co-chairing the San Francisco Evanta CISO Summit, to acting as an advisor for cybersecurity startups.

Joel Fulton has recently left his CISO position at Splunk to immerse himself in the life of the Silicon Valley startups. Formerly he served as the Deputy Chief Security Officer at Symantec, Global Head of Risk at Google, and other security roles at Jefferson Wells, Starbucks, Boeing, North Cascades Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Security and Assurance.

Currently, Joel is the Founder of a stealth mode startup and will join Michael to discuss how his journey in the field of security lead him to this venture. They will also touch on trends in security innovation, a perspective on how security was different or similar across the various companies they were part of, and some career tips for those interested in becoming a leader in Info Sec.

Ben Hagen is the Director of Information Security at Cruise, leading a team to build security solutions, patterns, and capability for the Autonomous Vehicle technology company. Formerly Ben served as the Head of Corporate Information Security at Facebook, the Vice President/Principal Security Architect at Salesforce, and held senior security roles at Netflix, Obama for America, Neohapsis, Motorola.

Olivia is the Vice President of Information Security & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at The RealReal, who has 18 years experience delivering cybersecurity programs. Before TheRealReal, she was the CISO of Mailchimp, and held senior security roles at Kudelski Security, QloudSecure, ControlScan, Solutionary, IBM Internet Security Systems on security programs. Her areas of expertise include enterprise security programs development and execution, advising CISOs and executive leaders on how to build up and safeguard their organizations.

Michael and Olivia will talk about the role of CISO, transitioning to CISO from security consulting or a variety of backgrounds, success tips for leaders in InfoSec.

Flee is the CISO of GUSTO and has more than 16 years leading global information security and privacy efforts. Before Gusto, he lead information security at large financial services companies and technology startups, most recently at Square. He previously held senior security and privacy roles at Bank of America, Betfair, NetSuite and Twilio. As Gusto’s CSO, Flee leads the company’s information and physical security strategies, including consumer protection, compliance, governance and risk.
