Nestled in the middle of the Lords Prayer, Jesus instructs His followers to pray for their provision. After we pray for God’s kingdom and before we pray for God’s righteousness, our Heavenly Father is waiting for us to present our needs to Him."

Our Enemy The Devil The battle with the devil is very real. Understanding the nature of our spiritual battle with the devil and God’s provision to overcome the devil is essential for the follower of Christ who wants to live a life that is pleasing to God and bear fruit for the kingdom of God.

 Our Enemy The Flesh Every follower of Christ has a sinful nature. It wages war with our minds and makes us prisoners to sin. God’s provision to overcome the flesh is His grace through our union with His death, burial and resurrection and His Spirit. As we walk by the Spirit we will not fulfill the deeds of the flesh.

Temptation and Our Battle With The World When we are tempted by the things of the world, God, in His faithfulness, provides a way of escape and gives us resources to overcome the world.

Bring The Pain To Jesus and Learn From Him So what do we do with the emotional pain of the hurt someone has caused us once we have assumed responsibility for it and forgiven? We give the pain to Jesus and we learn from Him."

Forgiveness Brings Freedom Unforgiveness breaks our relationship with the Father. It holds us in bondage with an ever increasing anger and resentment. Through forgiveness of those who have hurt, wounded or offended us, we are set free from the bondage of unforgiveness.

Fellowship Restored God is Light and if we walk in the light we have fellowship with one another. When we sin that fellowship is broken. The Father encourages us to seek His forgiveness and cleansing through confession, in His model prayer and fellowship is restored."

When Jesus taught His followers to pray, He gave them a model prayer we call the Lord’s Prayer. In this podcast you will be given perspective on how to pray through the Lord’s Prayer in a way that will bring fruit to your Life as a follower of Jesus.

 Some followers of Jesus don’t hear God’s voice as they pray. It may be there are one or more barriers that is hindering them from hearing God’s voice. In this podcast you will hear three different things that keep followers of Jesus from hearing God’s voice.

Listening to God Through His Word God’s Word is alive! His word gives us direction for our lives as followers of Jesus. His word nourishes our soul and as we meditate on it, we hear God’s voice.

Listening to God’s Heart Through Journaling When I want to hear God’s heart on a matter, I often find that I need to first listen for what is going on in my heart. I surrender it to the Lord. And then I am ready to hear what’s on God’s heart. It is through the spiritual discipline of journaling that I hear my heart and God’s heart.

Persistent prayer can be very challenging for the Christian leader.  Clyde shares 5 kinds of prayer the Holy Spirit has given him to have a lifestyle of persistent prayer.  New freedom from shame and greater effectiveness in prayer can be gained as Christian leaders incorporate one or more of these 5 kinds of prayer in their lives. 

 Jesus exhorts His followers to pray and not lose heart. He tells the story of the widow and unrighteous judge. In so doing, Jesus is contrasting the Father as a righteous judge who answers prayer quickly.

We persist in prayer because we are in a spirit battle. As we war in prayer the victory is won and the powers of darkness become subject to Jesus. We persist in prayer because it takes time to transform a life. "

 When Jesus’ followers asked Him to teach them how to pray Jesus responded by reviewing all that He had taught on prayer and then added one new insight on prayer. When Christ followers are desperate they will persist in prayer, seeking the goodness of their heavenly Father.

Jesus taught His followers to pray persistently and He Modeled persistent prayer by fasting for forty days. In His forty day prayer effort, Jesus bound the strongman and took the spoils. As we enter into a forty day prayer effort, we too will gain a position of authority over the enemy and watch breakthroughs in the lives of those in bondage."

Seeking And Knocking Jesus taught His followers the very nature of prayer is persistent asking, seeking and knocking and the reason we persist in prayer is because our Heavenly Father is good. He gives good gifts to His children when they ask.

Praying for the Kingdom Part 6 - Seeking Jesus’ Direction To Fulfill Our Callings Christian leaders pray through every aspect of ministry, listening for what Jesus is saying and doing to fulfill the work Jesus has given them to do.

In John 17, Jesus prays a covering of protection, sanctification, His presence and unity over the lives of His followers.

In Luke 10, Jesus sends the seventy and instructs them to go before Him, preaching the gospel.  Five prayer points are revealed that followers of Jesus are using around the globe to make disciples.

As followers of Jesus exert spiritual authority for the Kingdom, they affirm the work Jesus is giving to them, declare the victory of Jesus in His life, death resurrection and ascension and declare what Jesus is doing in and through their ministry.

In John 17, the Father gives His Son a work to do, those who followed Him and spiritual resources to accomplish that work.  Jesus promises His disciples He is sending them in the same way the Father sent Him.

In John 3, John the Baptist celebrates the crowds flocking to Jesus, because he knew he fulfilled his calling to prepare the way.  When praying for the Kingdom followers of Jesus begins by discerning God’s sovereign call in their lives.
