We sit with Shana Thornton to talk writing, her company, Thorncraft Publishing, female writers, Yoga, and the Clarksville-Montgomery County's African American Legacy Trail. Shana is the owner of Thorncraft Publishing, an all female authors publishing company. She also created the BreatheYourOMBalance brand and yoga book series, and was key to the creation of the Clarksville/Montgomery County African American Legacy Trail, downtown walking tour and county drive highlighting the contributions of prominent African Americans within the Clarksville/Montgomery County community. The Clarksville Fire of 1878
April 13th, 2022 marks the 144th anniversary of the Clarksville fire of 1878. Racial issues and post-Civil War tensions played key roles in the fire that destroyed 15 acres of downtown Clarksville. We sat with local historian, and 32-year veteran of the Clarksville Fire Department, Randy Rubel to talk more about the fire.
