S04E08 | The Coaching Wheel for Reflection with Stephanie Affinito
It’s important to keep track of our coaching lives. What we track, we pay attention to and what we pay attention to, grows over time. We want to make sure our coaching lives grow in the directions we WANT them to, which also includes our coaching spirits and mental wellness, too.
We can use things like planners, calendars and habit trackers to track our coaching lives, but they are not as helpful for overall reflection on how those activities look over time. A coaching frequency wheel helps us see themes in our daily work, just as video helps us see elements of our practices we might miss.

S04E05 | Communicating Coaching to Others with Lindsay Deacon
As coaches start the school year it’s incredibly important to have a plan for how coaching will be communicated in a variety of ways. Coaches will need to work with their principal to determine the goals of coaching overall and the how & when teachers will learn about coaching & how to access coaching. It’s also important to do some fact finding before communicating about coaching to better understand teacher mindset and previous experiences about coaching. Setting up the year with clear goals & sharing them with teachers will help inspire collaboration (rather than cause confusion or resistance).
