We first met Pearl Aday at a dinner party at W.Earl Brown's house several years ago. Ward Davis and I were on the road and did the Conan O’Brien show and ended up having dinner with Pearl and her husband Scott and song swapping. Ward saw him and said: “ You need to meet this guy, he’s a good dude and and a great songwriter”. At first, I was reluctant because I’m not down with the plastic B.S. that comes from “Nashville” songwriters, but Kendell isn’t your 'normal' Nashville songwriter , in fact, he’s one of the best writers I know, and not too bad of a fella.  He’s got some great stories, enjoy.
