With the Mets out of postseason contention, Jake and Elizabeth touch on the Rays' new stadium plans, why they enjoy playing spoiler to the Marlins, how the Mets' young prospects like Ronny Mauricio and Mark Vientos have been doing, and their thoughts on the reported David Stearns hire.

Jake and Elizabeth dive into how they've been approaching their Mets fandom since the trade deadline and their level of investment in the rest of the season. Then they evaluate the prospects the Mets received at the deadline, touch on the position the Mets might be in this offseason, and look around the league at how other teams with notable deadline decisions are performing.

This week, we dive into every detail about the amazin' game against the Dodgers that featured a fantastic Brandon Nimmo catch, a classically brilliant Jacob deGrom start, and a live performance of "Narco" that exceeded all expectations. We also discuss just how important deGrom can be to the Mets in October and why we're so proud of Nimmo, and zoom out to look at the potential postseason outlook in the National League.

This week, we chatted with Jack Oliver, AKA Jolly Olive, from YouTube, Twitter, and Jomboy Media fame! He talked about how he approaches his video essays on his YouTube channel, some of his favorite videos that he's made, and how YouTube led him to his current gig hosting the "Shea Station" podcast with former Mets reliever Jerry Blevins. We also reacted live to hearing the news of Joe Girardi getting fired by the Phillies in the middle of taping our episode!

Finally we discussed a few factors that have led to this Mets team's success, including the emergence of Luis Guillorme, the veteran leadership and professionalism up and down the roster, Francisco Lindor's productivity, and the tangibles and intangibles that Buck Showalter has brought as manager.

The unthinkable has happened. Max Scherzer is the newest member of the New York Mets. Elizabeth and Jake try to wrap their heads around that while also discussing who the team might hire as their new manager.

This week, we chatted with Mike Janela, who is a gameday and digital host for the Mets! Mike shared how he got started in the sports industry, how he landed the gig with the Mets, and what some of his craziest days at Citi Field have been. We also dove into some of the other cool things he's done for work (like meeting Alex Trebek) and the time he won major money on a game show! Finally, we shared our collective thoughts on Noah Syndergaard signing with the Angels and how well (or poorly) we're handling it.

This week Elizabeth and Jake are joined by Locked On Mets podcast host Ryan Finkelstein to recap the 2021 World Series and to preview what should be a very busy and critical offseason for the New York Mets.

This week, Jake and Elizabeth do a deep dive into all of the Silver Slugger nominees in the AL and NL, both the head-scratching and the slam-dunk picks. They also talked about why they're not panicking about the Mets taking their time to hire a president of baseball operations. This week, Jake and Elizabeth were joined by Mets beat writer Anthony DiComo, who has been covering the Mets for MLB.com since 2007. They talked about everything from Anthony's wild first introduction to covering the Mets to which player he was surprised that the Mets didn't pursue more at this year's Trade Deadline. They also talked about The Captain, David Wright's memoir that Anthony co-wrote, and what he was surprised to learn about one of the most beloved figures in Mets history. They also shared their thoughts on Jacob deGrom deciding not to pitch in the All-Star Game. Finally, Jack provided his insight into how he thinks the Mets should approach this year's trade deadline.

This week, Jake and Elizabeth talk about, among other topics, the lack of Mets offense this season, why they're not sold on Josh Donaldson as an ideal trade target, and how Jacob deGrom continues to impress even when he's not at his very best.

Tyler is the creator behind the WardyNYM YouTube channel, which brings you a full spectrum of Mets in-game live streams, postgame reactions, and more. We had a lot of fun chatting about how we all first became Mets fans, why we don't support booing our own players, and why we are still hopeful about this Mets offense. We also, as we seemingly do every week, spent some time talking about what truly makes Jacob deGrom so great.
