Welcome to the Colin's Conversations! The first goal of the show is to give an outlet to creative and talented people who make a living or supplement their living doing and making the things they love. The second goal of the show is to have the guests give advice to others, talk about how the internet and technology influences what they do. I hope that if I can do this correctly, I can build a community of people helping each other spread messages and create meaningful relationships! Your feed back is always encouraged. To be a guest submit a 1 minute video email@example.com

This episode was long in the making!
I have been a fan of the Skeleton Stewdio Youtube channel for a while now and was so happy when they agreed to be on the show.
Not only did they agree to be on the show, but they also let me into their studio, record with some of their gear, and it made for an amazing video version of the episode.

I think that this might be one of my best interviews to date. Back in December, I had the chance to talk to Shantelle Canzanese and learn a ton!
She is a Canadian TV host, entrepreneur, world traveler, makeup and dating expert, among many other titles.
It was extremely easy to talk to her and my only regret of the interview is that the video was all corrupted!
I tried a new video recording service and they failed big time!
Luckily, I was able to piece together the audio and keep the great interview alive.
I hope to be able to talk with her again, perhaps I will have to travel across the border to make sure we can capture the footage in person!
For more recap on my interview and to learn more about Shantelle, check out http://colinsconversations.com/shantelle-canzanese
Tre Nash is a young entrepreneur and musician from Texas. He reached out to be on the show and his fans spoke up quickly and in large numbers. We had a short, but good chat about life, music, his clothing brand, and more.

Antoine Dunn stopped by the show recently to talk all about his new music project, Everything, his record label, and to give some great advice to aspiring musicians and entrepreneurs.
Forgive the first 2 minutes of the show's audio quality, I promise it gets way better. The main camera turned itself off and we were running off the backup mic.

In this episode, I sit down with Author, J.L. Raynor. You may have seen his face on social media or a book store near you talking about his book, I Used To Be Racist.
We uncover the reasons he wrote the book, his experiences with racism, and more. There are real estate tips, marketing tips, and all sorts of valuable information all throughout this episode.
If you stay tuned until the end of the episode, we have some sponsored music! Recent guest, Jamil & the Show has a quick sponsored message for the people but also shows off his song Shooting Stars from his project Beautiful.

Jamil & the Show is a Cleveland based musician. He sings, raps, makes beats, produces, plays drums, and even sees music in colors!
He was one of the happiest individuals I have met in a long time. A smile ear to ear the entire time he was here.
He was kind enough to let me include a few of his songs in this episode so that more people can hear them.
I think the music is great, but look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Autumn is the shows youngest guest ever! She is still just a hobbyist, but loves singing and acting among many things. Her fans came out in abundance when I posted her request to be on the show. We talk about how to start her branding on the internet, she teaches me about Smule, and much more!
Let me know what you think!
We kick off Season 2 with up and coming Cleveland rapper, J-Work. I first heard of J-Work when researching for the Mic Miles episode in Season 1. He is a die hard Cleveland sports fan, a family man, and a very talented artist. We talk for an hour about music, life, inspirations, and more.
Cabin in the Woods is a Cleveland rapper, music engineer, producer, actor, beat maker, overall just a creative guy.
I met him through Skuff Micksun and the moment I met him I knew his energy and talents would be great to showcase on the show.
We talk for about an hour and a half and the podcast features beats from:

Visque first hit my radar when he responded to a post I made looking for music to review. He sent me his project, They Can't Stand Me and after giving it a few listens, checking out his social media, I knew I wanted to get him on the show.
I like to get people who are not just one dimensional. Meaning, I don't want an expert on one niche topic and have them not be able to talk about anything else.
Deandre Bush, better known as Visq, is not one dimensional. He raps, acts, is a videographer, political activist, and much more.
We ended up talking for about two and a half hours on and off the camera because one thing just kept leading to another topic!
Highlights of the show:
We talk about getting people free money,
His story of meeting and working with Nicholas Cage and William Dafoe.

This is a bit of the footage from my visit to Up State New York to meet Doug Mothersell of Twisted Willow Fabrication. I thought I was going to learn about metal, see some cool tools but little did I know that Doug is also a sled dog pioneer! He showed us his custom dog cart and let us meet his pack!!
Some of the sections of this interview may be a bit choppy for the audio listener but in general I think this is a great condensed version of our visit.
There is some repeating in music, I used a TON of Jeremiah Craig music and the reason why will present itself in part two of this interview after the commercial!
Meagan Carner talks about her mission with Cram4kidz.com to blend our current educational curriculum with Christian values. We talk about her life, her work, and I give a kind of lengthy marketing consultation for Meagan.
Music in this episode: Skuff Micksun, Nuke Franklin, FreeBeatsio, Adi Rei, and theme song by Jeremiah Craig. You can find out more about these artists ( as well as find links to buy and stream their music) or learn more about Meagan at colincanhelp.com
I sit down with Cleveland rapper, Mic Miles. We learn all about him, his music, his tattoos, and even have time to play some games! That is right, I test him on how well he knows his own lyrics! See how he does on the test and learn all about him in this episode!

I don't know how this interview never made a full length podcast appearance! It has lived on my Youtube Channel and segments have popped up on the podcast, but you guys deserve the full show!
Charlie was one of my first interviews and one of the most interesting businessmen in all of Cleveland. More importantly, he makes coffee that you don't need to add sugar or cream to! Undoubtedly the best coffee I have ever had comes from his store!
Adi Rei is a man in love with music. He is most commonly known for his work as a musical engineer as well as an emerging hip hop artist. I had the chance to "invade" his Nvasion Studios recording studio and record his first ever full length interview. In this episode you will learn about the Cleveland hip hop scene, how and what god Adi Rei into the music business, and some great tips for aspiring musical engineers.
Kat is one of the few experts in front of and behind the camera. It was a pleasure to get to know her and a privilege that she drove an hour each way to be apart of the podcast! Good stories and great info! Enjoy!!
Ove Menduza is a tattoo artist working out of Akron, Ohio. Growing up with a mother who was an artist inspired Ove to start art early and he found his skills to be well suited for tattooing. He has people coming as far as China to get his work and shows no sign of slowing down. He was a great person to have a conversation with and I hope we can do it again sometime!
I had the opportunity to meet and interview Josh Dobay of Josh Dobay Productions. Josh appeared on my radar after my interview with Skuff Micksun. He worked on a video set with Skuff as well as they worked together on a spoken word video.
Josh specializes in photography, videography, and content production. What I love most about those specializations is that he knew how to do none of them when he maxed out all of his credit cards to make a transition from the rat race back to a life of creativity. For a guy who grew up wanting to be a musician, working management in the hospitality industry as he said was “stealing his soul”, something that it does to most who are in it long enough. He couldn’t take it any more and and decided it was time to invest in himself and enroll in the school of Youtube.
Armed with a bit of new gear and a shit load of passion, Josh literally lost it all in search for a life that would give him purpose and meaning. His fiancee left him after he left his secure job, he lost his home and couch surfed from Ohio to Indiana, to Pennsylvania, all the way down to Florida until deciding to come back to Cleveland to settle some unfinished business.
Since then, he has found his calling by never allowing himself to give up. He has developed skills and built a framework around himself to allow him to use his creativity on a daily basis.
I encourage you all to spend the hour and twenty minutes to listen to or watch the full interview, there are a ton of great pieces of inspiration, motivation, and life lessons to take away.
Even though Josh and I do similar things for a living, I also encourage you all to check out all of his stuff and book him for whatever creative project that you need him for.
I hope that my podcast interview with him is the first of many great projects that I can work on with him, you heard it here first that

I got to talk with Nuke Franklin about his craft in the very place that he makes most of his music. How cool is that?! We talk about his processes, influences, and even his Rapper Workout Plan.

This is one of my shorter interviews, I blame youtube! We tried the night before and could not get any tech to work but we tried again the next night and things worked great, minus our schedules.
That is ok, like most things that are good, it takes a bit of waiting. Glacia was a delight to talk to. I won't spoil it but after you listen to the podcast and want to know more about her, here is how to find her:
The other day I was blessed with the privilege of being the first person to do an interview in English with the world famous, DJ Undoo.
DJ Undoo if you haven't yet heard of him is a Romanian DJ and one of the pioneers in scratching and modern DJ culture in Romania.
He fills us in on so many great things that it is easier to tell you to just check it out than to list them all.
Be sure to check out his channel and all of his music. His links as well as mine are below! As always, your views, your likes, and you comments are what keep this thing moving! I appreciate you all!

First segment of its kind! As the podcast evolves, I am learning and trying new things. This is the first of many short podcast clips and segments that will be coming out. I will still be doing some long form episodes, but I think we can learn a lot more with focused episodes. This episode tells the amazing story behind Kent Archie's song Oh Lord ( Pops Edition). Check it out and let me know what you think!
Find the song:
Kent Archie is a talented local rapper and one of a kind entertainer. I had the pleasure to sit down with him and talk about his career, his music, background, and even how his dad almost died going to get hot dog buns!
Many of his tracks are featured in the background in the podcast. A few points the background music at the coffee shop synced up really well with his beats I think!
Support the artist:
Episode 2 and we are already international! In this episode I talk to Benjamin Davis, an American born author who has lived all around the world, and is currently living in Russia.
We talk about his background, creative process, living in different countries, languages, and more.

Hey there everybody, thank you so much for checking out this episode of the Author Showcase presented by colincanhelp.com Today’s episode we talk to Canadian Author, Raquel Rich. In this episode I talk about the app that every dog owner needs on their phone. Walk for a Dog, an app that costs you nothing and saves dogs lives, while increasing the time you spend with your own dogs!
Technology attempted to derail this interview not once, but twice. Luckily, Jeremiah and I were able to get a ton of great conversation in despite getting the call dropped a few times. Also the files didn't want to edit well, but the content was too great to not release. It’s a rough edit, but like anything rough, there is polished beauty within. We talk music, marketing, and more. Check it out!
