“There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.”
- Romans 2:9-11
Main Idea:
God does not show favoritism
Romans - Wk. 2
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
- Romans 1:16
Main Idea:
The Necessity of the Gospel
Romans - Wk. 1
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. - Romans 1:16
The Power and the Simplicity of the Gospel
Be Busy About the Right Things
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. - Ephesians 4:11-13
What should we as believers be busy doing?
A Beautiful Design - Wk. 5
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground. - Genesis 1:26-27
The Mission of God brings Unity to our marriages
A Beautiful Design - Wk. 4
“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ” - Ephesians 5:12
God’s design for marriage is that we would compliment one another and not compete for control.
A Beautiful Design - Wk. 3
“But everything exposed by the light becomes visible – and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” - Ephesians 5:13-14
For healthy marriages and relationships to happen we must learn to live in the light.
A Beautiful Design - Wk. 2
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. [Ephesians 5:3-7]
A Beautiful Design - Wk.1
“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” - Ephesians 5:1-2
Main Idea: A healthy marriage/relationship starts with a relationship with Jesus
How to Deal w/ Anxiety - Matthew Usry
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. [Philippians 4:6-7]
The Mission - Wk.6
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” [Isaiah 6:8]
Missions Conviction: We believe every member should be engaged in missions.
The Mission - Wk.5
“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.” [Acts 13:2-3]
Missions Conviction: We believe the local church is responsible for mobilizing and sending missionaries. We believe prayer is a major priority for missions.
The Mission - Wk.4
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” -Acts 1:8
Main Idea: The Holy Spirit creates a ripple effect that moves people to participate in the mission of God.
The Mission - Wk.3
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb." Revelation 7:9 NIV
The Mission - Wk.2
“15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” - Roman 10:15
Conviction: The Gospel should produce in us an urgency for missions! The same reality that would be upon us if we were not reached with the Gospel still remains on the unreached peoples of the world. This should create in us an urgency to take the Gospel to the nations.
Main Idea: We desire every member at Connection Church to embrace the mission.
The Mission - Wk.1
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16
Main Idea: Our God is a Missionary God
This series is all about our “missions convictions.” From cover to cover, God has a single mission: to have worshippers among all nations. It’s because of this mission that the church exists. As we said on Sunday, missions isn’t just a part of the church; the church exists because of this mission. In the book of John, it’s recorded 33 times that Jesus was sent by God. The perfect picture of a missionary is found when we look at Jesus.

Good Culture - Wk.1 | Community
“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” - Ephesians 4:15-16
