Whew! This right here was my entire life while drinking. In this episode I share just how much alcohol was affecting my finances and mental health. I share four ways these was happening such as: overspending on drinks, skipping bill payments by lying and saying I will catch up on it later etc. Although all this happen, I all share four ways that can resolve alcohol killing you financially and possibly cause you to stop drinking or decrease your alcohol intake. It wasn't until I understood that it's my right to limit and or remove unhealthy relationships from my life is when things began to change for the better.  I want you to do two things: Examine the relationships you currently have. Ask yourself "Do they serve me for the greater good"? Now, take the steps you need to make the necessary adjustments. For some relationships it will mean cutting them off immediately and for others will require a slower process but either way action has to be taken. What good is it to have a friendship with someone for 15 years and you're both still in the same place you were mentally 3 years ago. One thing that we have no control over is the decision to be born. Okay here is another thing we don't get to decide if we will resemble our mother or father. Life has a way of throwing us all some unexpected curve balls. One of mine was getting a separated and eventually divorced after being married for five years. This was a blow to my heart, mind and even my soul to be honest. After being together for a total of eleven years what would my life look like now as a single women? How would I spend holidays? What would be say about me? These were just some of the thoughts that entered my mine. I knew a decision had been made (divorce) and even though it felt like a death had occurred I had no other choice then to press through life. Maybe you're facing a tough time right now questioning yourself as to how things will be different in your life (if you choose YOU) instead others. Maybe you feeling like the fight is just too much to handle (I did to at first) But Queen you cannot stop fighting. This new uncomfortable setting is jus the place you have to go through just to get to the other side. You're dirt in the bottom of a flower pot right now. and it's okay! For a many years I've live  my life allowing other peoples words to dedicate who I was and what was possible for my life. It got to so bad that I depended on their input to pull me up but their were many times their input pulled me down as well.  I took others words as meaning to have far more value  than my own. I'm sure  you can relate to this. We tend to focus on the words of others more than our own. This way of living showed me that I didn't know who I was nor whose I was. When alcohol addiction and/or dependence is involved its mission is to have you believe we are better, we can numb the real  pain or just live out a fantasy by continuing use of it. Alcohol is and will forever be a setup to make us believe our lives will be6beyyer when in all honesty it's just not true. Take it from someone who has overcome a life of alcohol abuse after drinking for 15 years. When I drank for the for time it was as if someone opened a door that had been locked for years so I never wanted to lose that feeling but the cost that came with the feeling was far more difficult. Alcohol is a setup to make you think that staying high, forgetting the hurt and feeling no pain is better than getting help. Why? That's what Deception is and does. Because I was so broken for as long I as I could ever remember, I thought alcohol was my only way of escape. Taking my first drink was like awaking a someone who felt as if they had been asleep for years and I never wanted to lose that feeling EVER. No matter how much I drank and believe me I drank A LOT. Alcohol had me repeating and making so many bad choices that left me having to repeat the lesson over and over and over again. It took me so long to get there because I was so delusional believing I could was in control but how could I be when I was using alcohol to make feel good. I wasn't in control of ANYTHING. It took for me to get tired, understand even in my broken unworthiness I had go back to the original source in my life which was and still is GOD. Only he could fix what was wrong inside of me that void that was so missing all I wanted was to feel better about myself from the inside out instead of the outside in. Listen y'all when I tell you God was all up in my life with this message it's the truth! Alcohol Abuse Isn't The Punishment It's The Platform God Will Use To Show Others What's Possible  See you're just like me trying to use alcohol to mask the very pain that God wants to use. Stop trying to hide what God wants to use inside of you. Now he didn't say it would be an easy process nor did he say you wouldn't feel alone at times. You will because so did I. This was a season in my life that I had to go through in order to grow and heal a lot of hurt and pain. And I'm still being healed y'all. What I didn't realize was that God saw me where I was and met me there.  I didn't realize that he allowed me to live my life masking it with alcohol for as long as he wanted me to and THEN HE STEPPED IN. JUST WHEN I GAVE HIM PERMISSION.  What are you using to hide your pain? What if it's time to RELEASE it so God can use it as his Platform to help others too. Episode 10: There is a journey on your life. There is a purpose attached to your life and in order to come out better not bitter you have to be BROKEN. I achieved 6 years of sobriety but not before I was forced into an environment that was unfamiliar to me. My relocating to Jersey was NEVER in my plan but it was always apart of God's plan. I had no other choice but to follow his plan even though I was hurting, even though alone and didn't know anyone in Jersey that I could feed my ego (YES I HAD A LOT EGO fillers when I lived in Brooklyn) but moving to Jersey destroyed all of that. I had to be naked get humble, get rebuilt in order to achieve the calling God already had for my life way before I was even a thought in my mother's head and heart.  Your life is just as meaningful. You're thinking because of all the things you've done in the past that there is no hope but IT'S A LIE. You are destine for GREATNESS Queen. Your life is the one that will be BROKEN so that other's in your bloodline can be rebirth. You are the one who has to do it. I was always everything to everyone else. I found joy in helping others in life. And to be honest, kindness is a great quality to have. Putting others before yourself isn't. It too years for me to realize just how much this way of living was hurting me more than it was helping me. I did choose me eventually and I'm so glad I did.
