Main Point: Encouragement for beginning.


Fun fact: 


  1. I ripped my pants this week. 5th/6th time
  2. Hair-thin hair-shampoo every other day (no conditioner), put in product when after blowdrying and hair is ~80%.


1. 4 months ago I decided to sign up for a Half-Ironman in Long Beach, CA. 


  • Bayshore 70.3: Swim (1.2M), Bike (56M), Run (13.1M)
  • I haven’t swam or rode a bike in 12 years (freshman year of HS), discouraged when beginning because I sucked hard.


2. Law of 100 states that if you spend 100 hours a year (16.5 (15-20) minutes a day) in any discipline, you’ll be better than 95% of the world in that discipline (top 5%). 


    • Also 100 days to form a habit. Little over 3 months. (Jesse Itzler - IG)


3. Pareto Principle-80/20-20% of effort produces 80% of results. 


    • First 20 hours to accomplish 80% of getting really good at any discipline.
    • It’s just a matter of how fast you can allow/force yourself to get through those first 20 hours of sucking.
    • Last 3 months-20 hours of swimming, biking, & running for my race in a month (first 20 hours of those 100, brought me 80% of my progress towards being a top 5% athlete)

  • staying consistent will give you anything you want, get you anywhere you want to go, help you learn any skill, and create your own momentum.

1. Self control - related to self-esteem.

- ability to regulate one’s emotions, thoughts, and behavior in the face of temptations and impulses to achieve long-term goals


2. Saddest times in my life, (times where I didn’t really like myself) = I had the least self-control. 


3. Happiest times in my life, (times where I couldn’t possibly adore/love myself anymore) = I had complete and utter self-control.

- No trust in myself. No accountability. Blamed others-victim mindset (work, relationships, health).

- 2 years ago mid 2021. Young 20’s figuring out who I was and who I wasn’t:

  • Going to the bar every single weekend.
  • Binge eating.
  • Pushing work off to the last minute.
  • Having no intent when pursuing girls other than my own ego and pride. How would this raise my status related to my peers?
  • Couldn’t say NO to anything.


4. The times where I felt the most shame, the most guilt, and the most small/insignificant = I had the least control over myself


5. The times where I felt the most proud, self-respect, and the most big/significant = I had the most control over myself. 

- Complete trust in myself. Extreme Ownership-Victor mindset.

- Fast-forward to today:

  • Have not drank in past 2 years.
  • Macros, flexible dieting.
  • Proactively completing my work ahead of schedule and planning for future.
  • Intentionally pursuing women in a respectful way and trusting God with my life.
  • Saying NO to most things if it doesn’t serve me.

1. Self-Reflection/Daily Journal-what have been the single greatest life trajectory changers for me up until now?

  • All changed my perspective of the world.
  • Mostly going from Abundance to Scarcity and the mindsets and skills I needed to change this. (i.e. Love, Time, Energy, Money, Success, and Joy are abundant and flow easily into my life.)
  • I’ve learned that sometimes my best just isn’t good enough (to make a certain amount of money, to attract the perfect partner into my life, to prioritize my time better, etc.). And that my best just needs to get better. Luckily, there are resources to help your best get better.


2. Education can’t go down. 

  • It is the only thing that can’t be taxed or taken from you, and it only gets better over time. 
  • AND It compounds onto itself.


3. Skills you Learn can’t go down.

  • They can “perish” (diminish) over time, but that doesn’t mean you forget them.
  • How to Lose Weight.
  • How to Build Muscle.
  • How to Sell.
  • How to Create Content/Market & Brand Yourself
  • How to Get Leads for your Business


4. Knowledge you obtain from books/podcast can’t go down.

  • If acted upon with recency, they can’t not forever impact the trajectory and potential of your life.

Answer: Bodyweight in Grams. Lower BF%, more protein you will need to maintain your LBM especially during a cut. 


2. As a woman, I really want to lose fat. My weight fluctuates, but I don’t think my fat changes much except for bloating in my stomach and I don’t seem to have the stamina to do hard core exercises. Any tips? 🔥


Answer: 10K steps/day goal. Then add bodyweight resistance training at home/gym. Then add weighted resistance training at home/gym. Increase step goal/add interval jog/walks to increase Resting Heart Rate/VO2 Max to build stamina to point where you can continue to progressively overload and increase Muscle and lose body fat.


3. How do you feel better about yourself and your body? I have body dysmorphia and want to change, but my brain can’t get out of a slump. Any tips? 🧠


Answer: Body Dysmorphia-Knowledge helps. Tracking Helps. Learning more about weight, body-fat, and muscle mass manipulation cured this for me. The more variables you track the better. Mental Health-Running a faulty program. If you can think yourself into a bad mindset, you can think yourself out of it and into a good mindset. Keeping Promises to Yourself. Having Something to Look forward to. Progressing. We all have a story. Keep creating your story. If you can’t do it for you, then maybe you can do it for someone watching you who needs it.
