Lina es parte de la junta directiva de Enlaces, una organización sin fines de lucro formada para empoderar, educar e involucrar a la comunidad latina de Alaska. Lina Mariscal joins us as our guest. She is a small business owner, co-founder of Sol de Medianoche which is Alaska’s bilingual newspaper. She also serves on the board for Enlaces, a nonprofit formed to empower, educate, and engage Alaska’s Latino community.

As COVID cases decrease staying healthy is important to keeping our economy moving forward. In this episode, Dr. Anne Zink, Alaska’s Chief Medical Officer, talks about the second booster, who should get one and why using tools to stay safe is still important. Kenrick Mock who is a a professor of Computer Science and dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Alaska Anchorage,  talks about how Alaska COVID ENX is helping to slow the spread of COVID-19.

The state has reported record-breaking daily COVID-19 case counts as the omicron variant continues to spread in Alaska. Dr. Matthew Serna, an Anchorage pediatrician, talks about how to protect your family from COVID-19. Dr. Serna also notes that in addition to COVID-19 mitigation, to remember well-child care and standard vaccines including flu and other illnesses.
