Episode 31- The EFF's Successful National Shutdown
The National Shutdown which survived the winds of propaganda generated by the SA Government under the ANC and its partner in oppression the DA was a success. It also marked the start of a new era, where ANC officials expose themselves through the jabs they throw on social media and public platforms. If this is what the new dawn meant then they can keep it and allow the citizens of the country decide on which government they would want in charge. In today's episode we talk about how successful the shutdown was and what came out of it.

Episode 30 - Sit Down & Let The EFF Be!
I'm done with the selective outrage. Putting an end to corruption became a motto that helped them instill a sense of hope and their capability to achieve this goal, however this did not end well due to their failure to uproot the cause of corruption without being biased in their approach. We are faced with a problem of crooks in suits, that carry badges who hold senior positions that are alleged to have been parachuted by Mme Patricia M and she has proof which implicates the man with the hat who is a supposed anti-corruption activist, he was never scrutinized like Mr Digital Vibes which led to his resignation. A bold move that was clearly politically fuelled, however it wasn't enough motivation for the man with the hat to walk the plank. Where was Cele's energy during the #PhoenixMassacre?

Episode 26- Why The Whistle-blowers Don't Last
Despite every person in South Africa having the right to a local government that functions well by providing basic services without any complications- corruption has defeated the chance of government ever being able to fulfill it’s role in the delivery of basic services. Whistle-blowers are important for the uprooting of the ills. When a Whistle-blower exposes the rot in the system it comes at a cost, because their lives are constantly in danger. Even when they did the right thing they find themselves subjected to punishment, constant harassment, permanent silence or being exiled. In today's episode we get into ehy they blowers don't last. Episode 25 - Let's Talk About (Dr Mpho Phalatse) our queen bee 🐝
On the 30th of September the multi-party coalition in the COJ collapsed after she was removed as the Mayor, despite her attempts to stop this from happening through garnering support from the masses with her #HandsOffJohannesburg strategy to save the city. The coalition consisted of the DA, ActionSA, Inkatha Freedom Party,FF+,Patriotic Alliance, ACDP,COPE,UIM and the ATM. She was ousted by 139 councillors including those from the Patriotic Alliance and The ANC’s Dada Morero was installed as the Executive Mayor. It is very weird for the DA to want to shift the blame and not shed light on the arrogance they displayed whenever their coalition partners suggested something. Their arrogance and inconsiderate ways led the Patriotic Alliance to jump ship and vote with other disgruntled parties to install Mme Colleen Makhubele from Cope as the Speaker of Council. The Dr forgot to fill us in on this when she began to point fingers towards others.. This is just my 2Cents on the matter.. 🙂🖤
She still remains the first female mayor of Johannesburg, despite only being in office for a period of 10 months. Dr Mpho Phalatse is the girl she thinks she is, but not for the political scene unless she leaves the smurfs.

Episode 24 - Celebrating Mme Noni Jabavu
Mama understood the power of the pen and she did not play when it came to opening the doors of oppression that were designed to keep black women out of the world of media and communication. She is among the remarkable queens who laid the foundation we continue to build on as black female writers.

Episode 21 - Remembering Chris Hani
When those who continue to step our necks come out and parade themselves as revolutionaries, quoting the likes of uTat’Hani I can’t help but wonder why they think we are blind to the truth. Tat’Chris Hani, was a beacon of hope for the oppressed not only in South Africa but the Mother continent and the rest of the world. He stood out from those he led with as a true revolutionary of the working class and the poor at a time, when the leadership of the mass democratic movement had abandoned the vision for a just, classless, socialist society. He was a firm revolutionary that was feared by the system. In today's episode we remember Tat'Hani🖤 sources: www.politicsweb.co.za/politics/chris-hani-didnt-support-sellout-negotiated-settle www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/amp/2018/04/10/i-do-not-believe-chris-hani-was-killed-by-the-right-wing-winnie-madikizela-mandela_a_23407340/ www.ohioswallow.com/book/Chris+Hani m.facebook.com/SA.History/photos/a.1006730952769950/2167732766669757/?type=3 Don't forget to visit my blog for my piece, click on that subscribe button like and please feel free to share 🖤 Remembering Chris Hani

Episode 20- Who Was Thomas Sankara?
The void that exists in Africa with regards to leaders who are capable and genuine to the cause continues to deepen. Instead of improving the living conditions of their people, todays leaders float on the waves made by revolutionary leaders who came before them. We no longer have leaders of integrity and vision. In today's episode we tell the story of a young and radical leader who was among the first to recognize that the key to the development of Burkina Faso and the African continent was to improve the status of women. This man was the first African leader who appointed women in key positions in his cabinet, also recruiting them to form part of the military. He outlawed forced marriages also doing away with that vile tradition of female genital mutilation, he encouraged women to take on jobs outside home and to not drop out of school when pregnant. Not only that but this man was also among the first group of African environmentalists, planting over 10 million trees so they retain soil and halt the growing desertification of the Sahel. This leader actually promoted the idea of supporting local and buying local, instead of using a term to prey on the vulnerability of people. He actually came with an assignment and began to implement without hesitating. Thomas Sankara, is a hero we deserve to be taught about not that racist Indian who even has a whole square named after him in South Africa. Episode 9 - The Father of Multi Partism
In this episode we talk about a freedom fighter I recently learned about, Tat'Simon Kapwepwe also known as the father of multi-partism.
Due to his dissatisfaction with the policies of the colonial Northern Rhodesian government, Mr Kapwepwe became a founding member of the Northern Rhodesian African Congress in 1948. The party was soon renamed the Africa National Congress (ANC) under the leadership of Harry Nkumbula. Kapwepwe was a member of the national executive and became secretary of the Kitwe Branch.

Episode 8- No Peace in Ethiopia?
A year has gone and yet there are zero improvements to the adjustments made for troubleshooting the problems faced by the people of Ethiopia, conflict, displacement resulting in an increase in humanitarian crisis more lives are taken - the violation of human rights has been normalised and those guilty come from all sides, on the one the rebels are causing havoc and on the other the federals are blocking in the name of protecting but are also preventing humanitarian aid from coming into the Northern Region of Tigray. In this episode we unpack the series of events that took place prior and are still at play in #Ethiopia. This is based on the research conducted and is more of an opinion but one that is meant to enlighten 🖤 sources : www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2021/11/4/a-year-on-ethiopia-decimated-by-civil-war // https://www.sowetanlive.co.za/news/africa/2020-12-02-ethiopia-war-may-turn-into-guerrilla-insurgency-experts-say/#:~:text=Ethiopia%20war%20may%20turn%20into%20guerrilla%20insurgency%2C%20experts,2020.%20Ethiopia%27s%20nearly%20month-long%20war%20against%20rebellious%20 // No Peace in Ethiopia?

Episode 7 - About The Cradock Four
The Cradock Four
The first time someone brought up the story about the Cradock four, was when the late Sister B decided to tell me about them.
I remember asking why we weren’t taught this part of our history and she laughed at me and said “They wont tell you everything because they don’t want to put themselves in a position where they beg us for mercy”
In today's episode we talk about the Cradock Four and how far we have come as the black majority in the fight for our freedom. 🖤SOURCES: www.iol.co.za/weekend-argus/opinion/36-years-later-and-still-no-justice-for-cradock-four-adb380b9-ffd9-4940-a0ec-69257a45894e / www.news24.com/citypress/news/calatas-last-stand-for-the-cradock-four-20210726-2 / www.thecradockfour.co.za/ www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2021-06-27-cradock-four-families-denied-the-right-to-truth-and-justice-for-36-years/ 📰🖤The Cradock Four – La Nkosi Writes https://lankosiwriteshome.wordpress.com/2021/10/24/the-cradock-four/?preview=true📰🖤📰🖤📰🖤📰🖤📰🖤📰🖤

Episode 6- The Dangers of Military assisted transitions in Mali
It is not a requirement for the military to take over after a successful military coup although it is highly possible for them to present the ring leaders of the coup as preferred civilians that are 'fit enough' to lead and this is done in such a way as to push the idea of democratic legitimacy even though it's all for show.
The Mother continent seems to be prone to this as the immunity we thought we had is nothing compared to the disease being the lust of power showcased by the same leaders who claim to be what the country their leading needs only for them to sentence their own people to poverty and slavery birthing more monsters waiting for their own turn to further destroy their nations' in this episode we touch onto the dangers of these transitions and what happened in Mali. 🇲🇱

Episode 5 - What's Happening in South Sudan?
South Sudan is burning, her people are angry and they have had enough of their government and its shadiness, the accusations that linger of that government include corruption, poor delivery of basic services and a failure to protect the population. The keywords here are HUNGER + CONFLICT.
In this episode we get into what is happening in Africa's youngest nation and how we shall remember President Salva and his administration for being arrogant and ignorant towards the pleas of the masses. The fact that activists ahd to hide and silence their voices for their own safety is scary!!

Episode 4 - Mme Adelaide Frances Tambo
Ma Tambo's story and the life she lived is not only a beautiful one but an inspiration, she was a sister, a friend and a mother to those around her, she led with grace and humility and never changed the person she was in order for her to be accepted she embraced her africanness and was able to fill the void between the 'educated ones' and the oppressed through speaking her truth and standing her ground. She advocated for African women to be accepted as they were irregardless of their way of articulation because she understood how oppression impacted their lives. Mama's spirit continues to live on in the lives of the women from Ekurhuleni. In this episode we celebrate the queen that she was and still is❤️ #WomensMonth #conversationswithlankosi #BlackHistory blog:http://lankosiwrites.home.blog/2021/08/09/mme-adelaide-frances-tambo/

Episode 3- Mme Victoria Nonyamezelo Mxenge
The month August holds a specific significance in the consciousness of our nation, it it that time of the year where we give more prominence than any other month to the resilience, courageousness and steadfastness of women the torch bearers of our aspirations and dreams.
It is these women who made it possible for a young black woman like me to articulate, speak my truth and stand my ground. It would be very weird for me not to celebrate these women and their work. I am here because of them.
Among these South African Heroines is the beautiful Mme Victoria Nonyamezelo Mxenge, may her spirit continue to live on in our hearts and may her legacy continue to shine on in the lives of those it was meant to empower and change for the better. In today's episode we celebrate the life of uMama Victoria Nonyamezelo Mxenge also highlighting the disgusting hand the apartheid regime had in her and her husband's assassination.

Episode 2- The Phoenix Massacre
The president came out to applaud those using private security and vigilantism to 'protect their communities' this then led to Europeans and Indians parading the streets, terrorizing, burning shacks and deliberately shooting unarmed black South Africans all in the name of 'protecting themselves' now this was after the president publicly incited ethnic violence. In this episode we look into the #PhoenixMassacre seeing that little is being done about it, ours is to continue to speak on it. There's nothing beautiful about this new dawn.
Black people were humiliated, their humanity degraded with the taking of lives but the silence on the matter grew louder by the day especially from these foundations that parade themselves as representatives of the masses.

Episode 1 - the Quest to Deal with President Jacob Zuma
In an attempt to further silence his voice and jail him the country's highest court exposed it's biasness.
South Africa's former President Jacob Zuma has been sentenced to 15 months in jail by the country's highest court. The sentence came after the Constitutional Court found him guilty of contempt for defying its order for him to appear at an inquiry about corruption in the country while he was president.
In this episode we speak on the true capturers of the state and their quest to deal with the former president unapologetically in the name of justice. Corruption by government is an evil I despise as it contributes to the delay of the emancipation and liberation of our people in any African country. I believe in exposing it and rooting it out but the approach must not be biased as it defeats the purpose of improving the situation.

Trailer Episode - S02
Expressing my views and supporting everyone's right to Free Speech permits me to make my thoughts known and keep fighting the System of Oppression.. Filtering out the rhetoric and the propaganda allows us to form informed opinions based on logic and reason. I am not about to keep quiet when injustice creeps nor am I going to sit down and allow falsified versions of our history as children of the soil be distributed because that too contributes to the problem! One of my fav quotes by Baba Credo Mutwa: "A country that speaks against it's heritage, is a dead country" now with what we are being fed, the content degrades our africanness! degrades our customs and traditions all in the name of religion and some form of salvation-that's where I come in bethuna! This season will consist of ✨exposing the lies we were and are still being fed. ✨Educating ourselves about our history before the infiltration of the white man. ✨Celebrating our Phenomenal Women Of Color. ✨ Keeping the entertainment globe on, with our interesting and highly informative African myths. To my listeners both new and old, thank you for your time also don't forget to click on that subscription button🖤✨

Episode 25- Eswatini Protests
The ongoing protests against the king of Eswatini turned into a violent one with the blood of the innocent being shed all in the name of 'observing protocol'
In the final episode of this season we speak on the recent series of events that transpired also referring to past actions that may have contributed to the worsening of this problem. Eswatini is burning and the silence of this fire is loud there seems to be no state of emergency from the AU or even SADC itself! The sole purpose of this is to speak on what is happening so more noise is made!
