#6 — Victor Vescovo

#6 — Victor Vescovo

Victor Vescovo might not be a name you know. But he is, without a doubt, the single most interesting man in Dallas. He even reminds me of the Dos Equis guy in person. When I started this podcast, he was one of the first people that I wanted to interview, and throughout this episode, you'll see why. When thinking about all things Dallas, sure you have Troy, Roger, Mark, and Jerry... but I have always thought to myself, Victor Vescovo's stories and experiences are some of the most interesting I've ever heard from basically anyone... not just a guy from right here in Dallas, Texas.
I think you're going to enjoy this episode, and whenever we construct the Dallas version of Rushmore (maybe in the fake waterfall off of the tollroad), I hope we add Victor to that monument. After you check out this episode, I think you'll agree.

#5 — Michael Young

#5 — Michael Young

Episode #5 is with the major league all-star that (perhaps more than any other player in recent years) was the backbone of the Texas Rangers franchise during their most prominent years in the league — The one and only Michael Young.

We talk openly and honestly about his time with the Rangers as a player, and now as a front office exec, where we’ve come from and where we’re going, where he’s come from as a player and person, and where he is aiming to go. Chatting with Michael about the Rangers organization is about as good as it gets given all the angles he’s seen everything — and I think you’re going to enjoy this episode with the Texas Rangers Hall of Famer.

#4 — Mark Cuban

#4 — Mark Cuban

We would add a full description for this episode, but you all know who Mark Cuban is (Shark Tank guy that occasionally dabbles in professional sports in the DFW area). Like episodes past, we go deep into Mark’s history with Dallas — learning things that Corby has never heard about both Mark’s story and the story of Dallas (did you know he almost single handedly kickstarted the resurgence of Deep Ellum?). What have the last 20 years at the helm of the Mavericks been like — how does he feel about the next 5? So much ground to cover with one of the most notable figures in all of sports. Enjoy this special episode of Your Turn with Corby Davidson!

#3 — Tom Hicks

#3 — Tom Hicks

DFW sports teams are known for their owners perhaps more than any other major sports town. The owner has a 360-degree view of their team’s world in a way that no one else in the organization does — and for Tom Hicks that has meant two different teams (the Rangers and Stars) over the past two decades. From A-Rod to the Stanley Cup, very few individuals in DFW have seen what Tom Hicks has seen... And there are some bombshells of candor in our interview that will blow you away. Enjoy the conversation with Tom on this episode of Your Turn with Corby Davidson.

#1 — Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach

#1 — Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach

Corby sits down with two of the absolute greats, at the same time — Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach. As Super Bowl winning quarterbacks for the Dallas Cowboys, it’s hard to think of two individuals that have had a bigger impact on the pride and international reputation of Dallas than these two guys, and Corby gets the chance to chat with both of them at the same time. They cover their roads to Dallas, their roads to championships, and their relationship with the city and team decades after hanging up their jerseys.
