Hearts Aflame

Hearts Aflame

By Deacon Corey Bruns
Collection of Homilies, talks, and reflections by Deacon Corey D. Bruns.

Corey is a Transitional Deacon and Seminarian for the Diocese of Owensboro, KY. He blogs regularly at CoreyBruns.com, his blog on "Walking the Way of Beauty."

"Hearts aflame" comes from Luke 24:13-35, the Gospel Story of the Road to Emmaus. My prayer is that this collection of my homilies, talks, and reflections, might help you to allow Christ to set your own hears aflame with the fire of His love and the knowledge that you are wonderfully, and beautifully made as God's sons and daughters.

Homily for the Young Adult Holy Hour - "A Eucharistic Comma"
Given at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church in Owensboro, KY for the Diocesan Young Adult Holy Hour.  What would our lives be like if we took the time for a small pause...a Eucharistic comma? Reading: Colossians 1:9b-11  May you attain full knowledge of God’s will through perfect wisdom and spiritual insight. Then you will lead a life worthy of the Lord and pleasing to him in every way. You will multiply good works of every sort and grow in the knowledge of God. By the might of his glory you will be endowed with the strength needed to stand fast, even to endure joyfully whatever may come.
