From The Archives with Cindy Rivers

From The Archives with Cindy Rivers

One of four interviews with Canadian comedians that inspired the podcast. When we first went into quarantine, I pitched an article to CBC about how this shift is affecting Canadian comedians. And although the article was commissioned it was never published. Don’t worry, I still got paid!  Anyways, I did a bunch of interviews for the article that really shaped and impacted how I approach content creation in the current climate, and I felt like it was important to share them. So for the next few weeks, I’ll be releasing these interviews as part of the show.

Part Four: I have a chat with one of my Canadian favourites! Cindy Rivers is a trans comic from Fort McMurray who has toured all over North America. She just got back from opening for Hannah Gadsby, what?!?

Welcome to The Corona Shift, the podcast that explores the changing landscape of Canadian performance art during the coronavirus outbreak. The world is but a stage? Not anymore.

Each week I chat with a different guest about their experiences in isolation, and how they’re adapting to the transition from the stage to the online world.
